Nomination of Tauranga Blogosphere for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Tauranga Blogosphere is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tauranga Blogosphere until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. smileguy91talk 03:19, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tauranga Blogosphere requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SwisterTwister talk 19:13, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article[edit]

Hi and thanks for creating something on Wikipedia! Unfortunately, the article does not fully explain the subject's importance. There are thousands of blogs on the Internet but not all of them meet Wikipedia's notability requirements especially if they're from websites like Blogger and Blogspot which are typically not notable or reliable. Adding lists of blogs in a specific place is like adding all of the California or New York blogs. One of the most important things about editing is that you must add reliable sources to support the notability about those blogs. In other words, if those blogs haven't received anything third-party coverage like news articles or local magazines, it's likely not notable for Wikipedia. But don't worry about whether your article is acceptable or not, because everyone here makes mistakes and can learn from them! If you additional help, consider visiting your welcome links including Wikipedia:Your first article. If you need any more help, please feel free to contact me at my talk page. Cheers! Hello, Lofangas. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jan Egeland (Song), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. SarahStierch (talk) 01:20, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Serbia at the FIFA World Cup, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://worldcupcentral.com/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Disambiguation link notification for June 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Costa Rica at the FIFA World Cup, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Óscar Duarte (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It was an error. It was supposed to be directed at Oscar Duarte, but thanks anyway! Lofangas (talk) 08:57, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
