Where did you get the Time ISSN for Fenethylline?

Hi there! You recently edited Fenethylline, adding a reference to Time magazine. The ISSN identifier you used, 0040-718X, is invalid (the real value is 0040-781X), but I see editors enter it on Wikipedia regularly. Do you know where you got that ISSN? Were you using a script, toolbar button, or other software tool to retrieve information for the reference you added? I'd like to track it down and figure out why that tool is adding an incorrect ISSN. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:01, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Bad Aibling rail accident

Re this edit. You replaced a reference for helicopters from Germany and Austria being used. The original was from De Telegraaf, which you replaced with the reference showing that the EUB had opened an investigation. That reference says nothing at all about helicopters. Please be more careful in future to ensure that references actually reference the text they are against. Mjroots (talk) 08:17, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Minnetrista

Hello. Can you take a look at some of the older version of Minnetrista and let me know what you think? I see you've tagged it for speedy deletion and based on the current state I can't say I disagree, but a series of editors over the last few days has been taking the overall tone and making it seem much more like an advert to me. Do you think if this material is removed the article could be kept? I have already reverted three times trying to get the old version back but the new editors do not seem to get the hint. Cheers. @H.dryad: I see that the version at 02:37, 27 January 2016‎ by Tassedeth is much better, if lacking in sources. Would you be happy to revert to that revision? LoudLizard (📞 | contribs) 15:55, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
I think that should be fine, BTW, I just did a scan using Earwig's copyvio detector and it slates the current article at a 70.7% likelihood of copyvio from http://www.minnetrista.net/about-minnetrista/ - I am thinking that the recent additions are probably copy and paste from that website. Cornell School #3?

I started wondering if there might be any others. Yes, there was a former one-room schoolhouse named the Cornell School in Ohio.

What do I have to do if I am writing an article that has no reference to link to? If I am writing information that I got directly from the person/source? Should I mark it in any other way not to get deleted?

And why did a "photo credit" get deleted in the infox? That should really count as a reference, right?

I´m new here, so sorry if these are stupid questions. :)

@AceWi:Hi. Generally, for content to be "encyclopedic" (i.e. notable enough to be published on Wikipedia), it needs to be verifiable. Information that cites no reliable sources may be deleted by other users - there is no way to stop this unless you are planning on adding a citation to a reliable source. If you are planning on adding citations later, you may use the "hang on" and "new page" templates - these tell other editors that you are still working on the article and ask them not to propose deletion. Please have a read of Wikipedia:Verifiability, which is Wikipedia's policy on using reliable sources. In terms of writing information that is directly from a person, Wikipedia actually doesn't allow original research, as per Wikipedia:No_original_research In order for material to be considered notable and verifiable, it needs to have reliable, published sources that other editors can verify to check the accuracy of the information.

I attempted to reply to Procureur2014 pointing out a few examples of unsourced namedropping; phrases given in a POV, instead of encyclopedic phrasing; and apparent whitewashing of the subject's more negative actions. It simply goes to show that not all of us fall into the stereotype of "schoolkid vandal". There are plenty of mature young editors around. Me neither. Vandalism tends to increase around the 17:00-20:00 GMT time - that is when most American students are in school. A lot of vandals tend to be middle or high school students, which is why the frustrating stereotype exists. --Ches (talk) 19:59, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
