April 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Arsène Wenger, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. August 2018[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Hugo Lloris, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:02, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

March 2019[edit]

Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits on the page Shoreham-by-Sea, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

You reverted a properly summaried editor's change, and did not provide an edit summary of your own. This action if repeated can be seen as disruptive, and ultimately warring. You have changed place-to-London distances in other articles. Please be aware that MOS states that distances between two points are by straight line, to make them comparable with other distances throughout all Wikipedia articles; anything other than straight line makes such useful comparison meaningless. There are web pages that will help you provide these London distances, London being centred on Charing Cross: such as this. Acabashi (talk) 10:40, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:22, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

February 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at European Union. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. Robynthehode (talk) 23:51, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to European Union, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Luis9595 reported by User:Robynthehode (Result: ). Thank you. Robynthehode (talk) 14:41, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Warring at European Union[edit]

I have had no choice but to report you to admins for edit warring at European Union. I and many other editors have reverted your edits and asked you to take your reasons for your edits for discussion to the talk page. You have failed to do this and persist in edit warring. This is against Wikipedia policy WP:WAR. It doesn't matter whether you believe you are right and we are all in the wrong you have been asked to discuss the issue at the article's talk page and this you must do. Unfortunately a temporary block on you editing seems to be the only sanction that is possible because you will not offer due respect to both other editors and Wikipedia policies. Please read the policies of Wikipedia and specifically the one on edit warring so you understand why this situation has arisen and how you should act as an editor in the future. Robynthehode (talk) 14:59, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

February 2020[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at European Union. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 15:35, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of Italy international footballers born outside Italy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An indiscriminate list. People with no connection with Italy gaining citizenship to play football for the national team might be a notable topic, but simply being born abroad is not.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Pontificalibus 08:36, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2017–18 Arsenal F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stratford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:33, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great work![edit]

User:Luis9595, I want to thank you for the great work you are doing at Category:Basketball players from New York City. If you are interested, I've started doing the same at Category:Basketball players from Los Angeles.--User:Namiba 18:25, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Basketball players by city or town in the United States has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. A discussion is taking place to decide whether this proposal complies with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you. You should probably stop applying this category until the CfD discussion is resolved. Rikster2 (talk) 14:17, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Category:Basketball players from New York City requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2009_March_10#Basketball_players_from_specific_cities. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 01:00, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
