Proposed speedy deletion for a page you created[edit]

A tag has been placed on Cave of the Winds (Suikoden), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this..

Hi, I proposed the speedy deletion of the above on the grounds it would be confusing for most users, as no contextual information is given (i.e. is it a real or fictional place? no links or reference to the fictional universe are provided). If you plan to add such contextual information or references, feel free to add a hangon tag to the page. --#fhmit# 10:28, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Gorudo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gorudo.gif. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:08, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, just a quick hint: in this case, deletion was not possible, as no speedy deletion criterium was met. The thing to do in such cases is to redirect the page to the already-existing article. Best, Sandstein 06:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • ah never thought about that at all, cheers anyway Lukey12345 11:01, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suikoden articles.[edit]

I noticed that you've been working on some of the Suikoden articles lately, and defending Agate Prison from a prod was probably quite reasonable so that its content can be saved. However, the latest big trend on Wikipedia has been "integration," wherein rather than 10 small articles on each individual character/contestant/place/chemical variant/etc., there should be one big one with a lot of redirects pointing at it. The Geography in the Suikoden series article could certainly use some help and some expansion, and this keeps everything in one place so it's easier to detect vandalism and the like. If sections get too large, then they can be spun out to their own articles as necessary. SnowFire 05:11, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was planning to do that with the category i made for all the locations in suikoden, the category was initially made by me to keep track of the field maps/dungeons of the suikoden world. When i was going over them lately they really do not have the greatest mass of information regarding the towns. One question regarding the Geography in the Suikoden series article, i will do as much as i can to expand the information for it, but for Dunan for example it might need it's own seperate quick link like the Harmonia one. Lukey12345 10:58, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, if the Dunan section gets too long it can certainly be split off. I've gone ahead and merged Agate Prison already so it doesn't get deleted at its deletion debate. Good to see another person adding info here. SnowFire 01:48, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:B00006FS2B 03 MZZZZZZZ.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:B00006FS2B 03 MZZZZZZZ.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Gorudo.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gorudo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:03, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Lukey12345! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Mitch Ward - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Adam Reed (footballer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
