File source problem with File:Los Chupacabra 3.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Los Chupacabra 3.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:38, 15 March 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 00:38, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of J'ba Fofi[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article J'ba Fofi, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

After googling this term, I could find only one source that wasn't a blog or a forum, and that source was trivial.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 16:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. File copyright problem with File:Los_Chupacabra_Unleased.JPG[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Los_Chupacabra_Unleased.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 09:50, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Los Chupacabra[edit]

Jba Fofi[edit]

Please note that Wikipedia has an absolute, non-negotiable rule that every article on here must be either categorized or tagged with the {{uncat}} template. If you want the template gone, you must add a proper category, or else it will be readded again — and, in fact, if you remove the template one more time without adding a proper category, I'm going to lock the page so that you can't edit it at all. Bearcat (talk) 06:47, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

March 2011[edit]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to H class battleship proposals. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Do not add debunked David Porter material. Binksternet (talk) 05:37, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stop adding Porter's nonsense. The only other place the "H-45" exists is on this forum. No other historian has ever reported anything similar, including historians like Erich Groener, who had access to the German Navy archives during World War II. If the H-45 existed as an actual design concept, Groener would have known about it.
Until a reliable historian confirms the H-45 (by citing an until then lost Kriegsmarine document, for example), the information will not be included in the article. If you continue to add this junk material in the face of consensus, you may by blocked from editing. BB-PB (talk) 12:15, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

H class battleships[edit]

Hello, Marino. I see you were working on a proposed article at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/H-45 Battleship Proposal, but stopped several months ago. Maybe this is the reason you stopped, but just in case, I wanted to bring to your attention the fact that we already have an article, H class battleship proposals, on the same topic. You might want to delete your "Articles for creation" draft, or merge it into the existing article, in light of this. Thanks. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 19:55, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you are more than welcome to continue submitting work to Articles for Creation.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Nomination of H-45 for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article H-45 is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/H-45 until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/H-45 Battleship Proposal, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:06, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Marino73. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "H-45 Battleship Proposal".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/H-45 Battleship Proposal}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 01:38, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Proposed deletion of H45 Battleship Proposal[edit]

The article H45 Battleship Proposal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems to be a recreation of material shown to be false in Talk:H-class battleship proposals#H45 Does Not Exist, referenced entirely to Porter's book that has been shown to have been sourced to Wikipedia, where the information had originally been crossposted from a discussion forum's speculations as to what such a ship would be. IOW, recreation of deleted material shown to originally stem from an unreliable source.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. rdfox 76 (talk) 19:32, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop recreating this article. The H-45 thing is internet nonsense and Porter is, frankly, an idiot for publishing it. Thank you. Parsecboy (talk) 22:58, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

More sources for The Rock 'n Roll Rebels?[edit]

  1. On November 12, 1990, Fatback Festus and Jimmy Powell won the tag team belts as The Ding Dongs in Georgia All-Star Wrestling from Mr. Wrestling and Billy Black. ("Wrestling Title Histories", pg. 148)
  2. The Ding Dongs ultimately failed to attract a younger audience and alienated the promotion's traditional "blue collar" fans. [1]
  3. Jim Cornette, then on the WCW booking committee, has claimed that The Ding Dongs gimmick was the most damaging thing Jim Herd did to the company. [2]

Good luck with getting this approved. It would make a fun addition to WP:DYK or WP:UA. 72.74.203.213 (talk) 23:04, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marino. Sorry to see you're still having trouble getting The Ding Dongs passed. Doesn't the article already meet the following "notability" guidelines?
  1. Has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject (Pro Wrestling Torch article/Wrestlecrap Book of Lists/Wrestling's Most... Crappy Gimmicks/Bill Apter article)
  2. The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for such several times (Wrestling Observer award)
  3. The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field (consistently voted worst gimmick of all time/Jim Herd's most damaging creative decision to WCW according to Jim Cornette)
Have you talked to anyone from WP:PW? TheHistoryOfWWE.com is on their list of approved websites and used on several GA/FA-class articles (e.g. Jos LeDuc). One of its members may have access to the sources in the "Further reading" section too. If it helps, The Ding Dongs were discussed by Jim Cornette and Kevin Sullivan (both members of booking committee under Jim Herd) on the Jim Cornette Experience #30 (June 2014). A clip is available on Youtube here (at 1:30). It's used with permission from Cornette so it may be ok to use in the article.
