Thanks! I am actually interested in how youth adoption processes work globally, and what ways are they similar and different from each other. So this is actually just the very first one I thought might help me with this search, as I am still trying to understand the wiki world. I would love and help or suggestions!

I'd love to hear more[edit]

Hi, Marrosann - Could you write a short paragraph about what you're interested in exploring about youth and sports? If you say a bit more, we can help you identify articles to work on and hone in on your project. Thanks. Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 03:43, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal Feedback[edit]

Good—I think narrowing the topic of youth athletics and working on the lead in paragraph are both positive changes. It may be important to consider how a change in content could require a change in title though. Youth athletics seems to imply a broad overview, but what you’re planning to change it seems to be talking more about youth development and sports. What are some possible new titles?

I think you have some really beneficial questions that you ask in the second paragraph of your proposal. I would be careful though that you aren’t positioning the global south and the global north against each other. Rather, maybe try to emphasize that there are similarities in at least the kinds of benefits that athletics provides.

Another thing to think about is the organization of the article. Will you restructure it when you make changes? Will you divide sections by country/region, topic, or another way?

Best of luck! AbbeyMaynard (talk) 17:50, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A cupcake for you![edit]

Hi Marrosan - I think that Abbey's comments will give you a good place to start regarding your proposal. The lead paragraph is only a sentence, so this should be a top priority.

As you review the sources you have posted, you can search for a discussion of the social meaning of sports for youth, and the impact that sports has for youth across resource disparities (social divisions).

I encourage you to work towards a more concrete outline form of the changes you plan to make.

Congratulations on getting the resources posted and your proposal drafted! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 20:23, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
