Congratulations on your article in the French edition on the Dominican Rite. I would probably undertake the task of translating it into English but for the fact that the English Wikipedia already has much on the Dominican Rite. The English information is simply copied from the out-of-copyright Catholic Encyclopedia. Your article is in some ways superior and less outdated, but if I were to translate it, I would also have the additional task of combining it with what is already in the English Wikipedia.
I find of special interest the information "A Rome, au Moyen-Age, il y avait deux liturgies : celle du diocèse de Rome, suivie dans les basiliques, et celle de la Cour romaine, observée dans la chapelle pontificale. ... ... De ce fait, beaucoup de coutumes antiques ont disparu de Rome et n'ont survécu que dans les liturgies particulières." This is in agreement with the information in Roman Missal: "Pope Gregory IX considered, but did not put into effect, the idea of extending this missal (that of the papal court), as revised by the Franciscans, to the whole Church; and in 1277 Pope Nicholas II ordered it to be accepted in all churches in the city of Rome." Would you please indicate to me a quotable source for the additional information that your article gives on this matter, preferably an Internet source, since I do not have many books in my possession here. Even a printed source might be useful, as the book might just possibly be in the library of a religious house in this city with which I have contact. Lima 17:27, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

I must retire from following even the two articles in the French Wikipedia that I was following. The combination of the changes made to them, the creation of a new article corresponding to an important part of one of them, and general pressure of other work are the reasons for that decision. I will just comment, with regard to the new "Histoire du rite romain" article that "Offertoire: le Vin est versé dans le Calice (exemple d'abus liturgique)" needs the addition of something like "directement de la bouteille", since it is no abuse to pour wine into the chalice. I would also question whether the phrase "Un des grands reproches faits au nouvel Ordo ..." is correct: the reproaches are against departures from the indications of the Ordo, not against the Ordo itself. And the section "La critique sur la forme" in which this phrase is found seems to me to be really a duplication of the section "Dérives liturgiques". I am sorry, that is all I think I can contribute for quite some time into the future. Lima 19:44, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
