  • I guess you're talking about B Roads Talk Page? Your edit removed the content Stavros1 added. I agree that the copy+paste might not have been needed, but you also removed his comment about your(?) editing of the article, which in my opinion should stay. Forum SA[edit]

Hi Matt T - I'm new to wikipedia.

Are you the person who just removed my wiki entry on Forum SA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Forum SA (talkcontribs) 07:19, 12 September 2008 (UTC) Hi Matt. T - I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the talkback feature. Can you please email the work that I did ( a carbon copy of myspace that hasn't been deleted? ) as well as a link to what I did wrong so that I can fix it to comply with wikipedia's rules to: <snipped email> Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Forum SA (talkcontribs) 07:24, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hey and welcome to Wikipedia! Talkback is a little confusing - it's basic goal is to keep a discussion on one page. You only need to add {{talkback}} to my page if you've left me a reply on your page, otherwise don't worry about it. About your article - I tagged it with a speedy deletion tag, but I didn't delete it (I don't have the admin permissions to do so). The admin User:RHaworth deleted it under G11 which basically means it looked like the point of the article was solely to promote a website/group. Even with a rewrite to make it not solely an advertisement it still could be deleted because the website isn't important enough to be in an encyclopedia. I left a couple of links on your talk page about businesses/companies/groups on Wikipedia and spamming. To contest the deletion or get a copy of the page back you can contact that admin at his talk page. It's not wise to add your email address to articles on Wikipedia - I've removed it from this page. Spam bots look around the web for email addresses to add to their mailing lists. Also, please sign your name on talk pages using ~~~~. Thanks and good luck with your article, Matt (Talk) 07:37, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi Matt and thank you for the time to explain to me what happened. There are external links that I was in the process of adding when you flagged the article but I guess it's irrelevent now. While waiting for a reply, I took the time to read up on the wikipedia rules and I believe I understand better now where I went wrong that you had to flag what I was writing and can fix it to comply with wikipedia's rules. Thanks again Forum SA (talk) 07:52, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • No problem. You might also want to read this section of speedy deletion - your article must give a reasonable indication of why the website might be notable. Again, good luck with your article! Matt (Talk) 08:09, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

no context[edit]

As a reviewing admin, please be careful about using "nocontext" as a reason for speedy delete. If you can tell what the article is about, then the tag is not appropriate. In the most typical case, try using {{unsourced}} and {{expand}}, or use prod., or , if the article has just been created, waiting till it has a chance to be worked on. BOONYARATVEJ[edit]

Dear Matt, you disputed my wiki page Boonyaratvej stating that it was copied from a dictionary, I deny this. The word Boonyaratvej is a Thai surname, and unlike western surnames they are unique and can not be used by a SMITH, BROWN, BUSH, etc. the surname was bestowed upon us by the King of Siam, i am about to write an autobiography on the origins of the surname and the ancestors - past to present.

  • You can always contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} directly below the template and then explain your reasoning on the articles talk page. I think you were meaning redirect? You can find more info on them here :) Regards, Matt (Talk) 06:53, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ha Ha! There are rules for everything... I appreciate it. Who has the time though? I think you are right about the redirect thing. Now I broke another rule or was warned about being in an "editing war"... Perhaps this is how you learn... But is it worth it? Just trying to make a small correction and it is like a million bees swarming at you. Frankly, I am not to sure I like that, but then again, I suppose that is the way it must be with a "anyone can contribute" encyclopedia. Faithfullyclever (talk) 07:06, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hey and welcome to Wikipedia! I think you're talking about your user page? That page hasn't been deleted (but it could be shortly), it's just been tagged for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G11 because it seems its only purpose is to promote a website. You can object to its deletion by putting {{hangon}} directly underneath the speedy deletion tag (but please don't replace it) and then explaining your reasoning on the article's talk page. Here's a couple of links on advertising: Wikipedia:Spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business. Also, please sign your username on talk pages such as this one with four tildes (~~~~). Good luck with your article, Matt (Talk) 04:06, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

At the moment your article's in the user space as your userpage, not in the article space. You can move it into the article space with the 'move' button at the top of your screen. As well as the article not being there solely to advertise, it must also assert the notability of its subject. This page might also help you: Wikipedia:Article_development. :) Matt (Talk) 04:24, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Matt,

This is in-regards to creating an article for Ish Sagar who is a known Fashion Clairvoyant based in India. I would like to add information about him and since I have few web links of Ish Sagar (which are the only references) what do you think I should do next?

Since I have designed blogs & websites for him, i would like to create a page for him too on wikipedia.

For your reference please see below (links on/about Ish Sagar)

Have you read this section? It explains the stages of article development. Because the article's just being developed, you could create a subpage in your userspace (something like User:Ojaswamanindia/Ish Sagar) and then when it's ready move it into the mainspace. StrawberryNET.com[edit]

Hi Matt,

It's Mandy again, the writer of the StrawberryNET.com article. Below is my revised version for submission. It is quite objective and have the similar format with the "Sephora", http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sephora, which have already been posted in Wikipedia. May you suggest how I can amend it to be posted in Wikipedia? Many thanks.

StrawberryNET is Hong Kong-based online cosmetics company providing a very large range of cosmetic items including make up, skincare and fragrance. The company describes itself as “The Fresh Cosmetic Company”.

Background & History[edit]

Strawberry Limited was founded in 1997 and the StrawberryNET website was launched in 1998. In the 1990’s, when online shopping was in its infancy, StrawberryNET was one of the pioneers in online shopping along with contemporaries such as Amazon and eBay. StrawberryNET currently claims to serve customers from over 200 countries, providing 24-hour customer support in multiple languages and free shipping worldwide for certain items.

Overview[edit]

The StrawberryNET site includes over 20,000 items from over 200 brands, and it is possible to view the website in 11 languages and order in 20 different currencies.

Product searches can be made by keyword, by category or by brand. Each item on the website is shown with a picture, description and price. Colour options are also displayed for makeup items. Items are added to the customer’s online shopping cart by pressing the purple “Add to Cart” tab next to the price.

Payment can be made by credit card, debit card (for certain countries) and Paypal. Discounts are given for ordering three or more items, and shipping worldwide is free for skincare and makeup items although there are charges for shipping fragrances to certain countries.

The online checkout system also remembers a customer’s details for when they order next.

StrawberryNET uses Secure Server Software (SSL) which fully encrypts and protects all personal data so that it cannot be read by anyone over the internet. StrawberryNET also claims to provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all their products.

According to consumer shopping website Bizrate.com, as of 2008, StrawberryNET has been rated since 2000 by over 175,000 customers who have given the site the overall rating as “Outstanding”. StrawberryNET has also been a Bizrate Platinum Award Winner for 2 years in a row and was awarded the 2002 Logistics Partner of the Year by Hong Kong Post.

Loyalty programme[edit]

In 2001, StrawberryNET launched their loyalty programme, which rewards regular customers by providing them with increasing discounts on progressive purchases, ranging from 1% on their second purchase, through to 10% for the 20th. purchase and beyond.

Hi Mandyngan and welcome to Wikipedia! If you have any relation to the company you want to create an article on it could be considered a conflict of interest. Here's a couple of links about writing articles on companies: Wikipedia:FAQ/Business and Wikipedia:Spam. I recommend you create a subpage in your user space (something like User:Mandyngan/Sandbox) and work on your article there. Instructions on how to create subpages can be found here. For some guidance about writing good articles, see Writing better articles, Layout, The perfect article, Manual of Style and Article development. After working on your article in your user space you can request some feedback about it here. Good luck with your article. Regards, Matt (Talk) 07:29, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Mandyngan (talk) 08:10, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Matt,
I did found many third party websites writing articles and talking about StrawberryNET which are searched from Google.au and Yahoo! Hong Kong. Here are a few examples. Also there is a video about saving money in ninemsn.com.
Some websites talk about StrawberryNET

There is a vidoe from ninemsn.com talking about how to save money in this deteriorating economy.
http://today.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=644008
Actually, there are people want to know about strawberryNET. So shall you suggest what sub topic I should delete in order to comply with the wiki policy? Thanks :)
Best regards,
Mandyngan (talk) 09:48, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mandyngan. Do you have any relation to StrawberryNET? Matt (Talk) 23:26, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Matt,
Yes, I am a staff of StrawberryNET but quite fresh there and have worked for only 2 months in the company.
When I got an interview in StrawberryNET, of course, I got prepared and could search the website, www.strawberryNET.com, and finally found out that it is an online cosmetic operating in HK.
As it was my job interview, I have studied on its website quite awhile and read some other third party websites as well. And gradually, I found out that there are people talking about strawberryNET and “using” StrawberryNET to buy generic brandname cosmetics but did anyone know what StrawberryNET is? I doubted.
Through wikipedia, I would like to share my knowledge about StrawberryNET so others need not study the website for couple of hours as I did before. It does save other people a lot of time! I think it is also the reason of inventing encyclopedia and wikipedia.
I am not representing the company and happy with other people editing or modifying the article. Personally, I think StrawberryNET is quite an interesting company, that unlike eBay and Amazon which are operated in US, is a HK company and eCommerce does not prevail in the region comparing to US. Maybe, I am quite prone to StrawberryNET and make the article rather “advertising”.
Have a nice weekend. Cheers, Mandyngan (talk) 09:02, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Mandyngan. Follow the instructions in this section. Regards, Matt (Talk) 01:11, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Matt,
Thanks for your advice. I have made a subpage, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mandyngan/draft_of_my_article and found a wikiproject, Retailing which is quite appropriate for me to join.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Retailing
However, there is a line that "This WikiProject is believed to be inactive. If you are not currently a member of the project, please consider joining it to help." and I cannot find the link to join to this project. Shall you suggest how I can join this project?
Thanks, Mandyngan (talk) 03:56, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It might pay to try to find another suitable Wikiproject that's not inactive. If you want to join the Retailing Wikiproject add your name to the members list. Because it's inactive you could contact some of the people on the members list to see if they want to try to get it going again. If you want them to look over your article (it might take a while because the project is currently inactive) post a link to your draft on the Wikiproject's talk page, which can be found here. Good luck, Matt (Talk) 05:33, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stuart

Wetpaintcreative (talk) 01:16, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Stuart and welcome to Wikipedia! If you have any relation to the company/magazine you want to create an article on it could be considered a conflict of interest. If you do have a relation to the company you're writing the article on please read and follow the instructions here, disclosing your relation to the company on your userpage is a good idea as it lets other editors know you're not trying to covertly edit the article. Here's a couple of links about writing articles on companies: Wikipedia:FAQ/Business and Wikipedia:Spam. I recommend you create a subpage in your user space (something like User:Wetpaintcreative/Sandbox) and work on your article there. Instructions on how to create subpages can be found here. For some guidance about writing good articles, see Writing better articles, Layout, The perfect article, Manual of Style and Article development. After working on your article in your user space you can request some feedback about it here. Good luck with your article. Also, please check out the Username Policy as your username will probably be blocked because it's related to a company. Username blocks usually say nothing about the person, and you're usually free to create another account that doesn't have a promotional name. Regards, Matt (Talk) 01:25, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've return the article on Amy Balliett and include some reasons on the talk page. I may well be mistaken on the notability of the article, but I don't see it as a candidate for speedy deletion. The RfA Barnstar
Matt.T, I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent Request for Adminship, which passed with 112 supports, 4 opposes and 5 neutrals. A special mention goes out to Stwalkerster and Pedro for nominating me, thanks a lot for having trust in me! In response to the neutrals, I will try to double check articles that have been tagged for speedy deletion before I CSD them and will start off slowly with the drama boards of ANI and AN to ensure that I get used to them. In response to the oppose !votes on my RfA, I will check that any images I use meet the non-free content criteria and will attempt to handle any disputes or queries as well as I can. True, sorry for the misunderstanding. Deletion[edit]

The pages are (were) mine. I can't log in to request their deletion because I'm blocked. I want them deleted, however. 75.3.139.29 (talk) 06:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Even if the pages are yours they won't be deleted unless the actual user has either requested the deletion while logged into their account or added the speedy tag. Please stop adding them to pages. Thanks, Matt (Talk) 06:07, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Matt, I'm blocked from editing. I can't add tags to the pages when I'm blocked. 75.3.139.29 (talk) 06:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. Tough situation. I understand where you are coming from but the pages won't actually be deleted unless there's proof the user account wants them deleted. Hold fire for a bit while I ask an admin. Matt (Talk) 06:14, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you. 75.3.139.29 (talk) 06:15, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Because there's no way to be sure you're the same person as the username the pages probably won't be deleted. Talk pages and talk archives usually aren't deleted anyway even if the deletion is requested by the creating user. It's possible the sandboxes might be deleted if there's nothing significant in the history. Regards, Matt (Talk) 06:46, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure?[edit]

Are you sure that anonymous editors are allowed to erase warnings on their talk page? I thought they had to leave that stuff up... but then again I couldn't find that anywhere... NightFalcon90909 (talk) 14:15, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Any user/IP can remove sections (but not just parts of a comment) from their own talk page (but archiving is preferred). The user is verifying that they read the warning if they remove it. There are 3 things that are not allowed to be removed, to prevent users from abusing the system: declined unblock requests while the block is still in effect, confirmed sockpuppet notices and shared IP header templates (for IPs). If a user continues to restore removed comments from someones talk page it's possible they'll be blocked for harassement or the 3 revert rule. It's covered here and here. Regards, Matt (Talk) 03:44, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy tag on afd nomination[edit]

Hi. I noticed you removed the speedy tag I placed from this afd nomination. I marked it for deletion because I withdrew the nomination, so that in case the article survived speedy and was nominated for afd again it wouldn't be marked as a 2nd afd, just to keep things tidy. Doesn't probably matter much, so I'll leave it as it is. Just thought I'd drop by an explain why I tagged it. :) Happy editing! — Twinzor Say hi! 05:07, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. It was just a bit confusing having a speedy deletion tag transcluded onto the log page for today :P. I'm pretty sure AFD noms are kept regardless of their outcome though. Matt (Talk) 05:15, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen it done a couple of times with withdrawn nominations, but it probably doesn't matter either way. :) — Twinzor Say hi! 05:21, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

KHIS page[edit]

Matt:

We were just getting started with the KHIS Radio page...and you marked it for deletion.

We have just added some considerable history on how the station got started...and more info will be added soon.

Can you please explain to me how the informational page we put up for KHIS Radio is really any different from the pages put up for just about any other US radio station? I see little or no difference. In fact, just about all of them I previewed prior to starting to put the KHIS page up looked MUCH more like an advert than what we started there.

--Daveobieone (talk) 05:30, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, David Obergoenner —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daveobieone (talkcontribs)

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! I tagged the article you created for deletion because it seems to be advertising the radio station it's about. Because it looks like you're related to the radio station you probably have a conflict of interest with the subject of the article. Could you link me to another radio stations article and I'll (attempt to) explain why it doesn't read like an advert? Thanks for your message. Regards, Matt (Talk) 05:50, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Matt: I've added some links to other radio stations in the body of the page. They have logos for the stations and other promotional info like that. Those are commercial, for-profit stations. I should also mention that KHIS is non-commercial, and non-profit. I stand by my contention that the KHIS page is informational...not promotional. I'm ready to add a page I've been working on that explains on the history of Cape Girardeau area radio. I've been working on this with professor's from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. That section contains info about many radio stations in the area. KHIS is a part of that as well. There will be links in that section to many stations as well. --Daveobieone (talk) 06:28, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David. I can't check the links because the article has been since been deleted. Including a radio station's logo in itself doesn't make the article promotional. If you have any more questions about the deletion feel free to ask the deleting admin (PMDrive1061) or myself. Good luck with your article. Regards, Matt (Talk) 07:19, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, also in response to the Zimbabwe banknotes, please copy the over using the same' title as they were given on Wikipedia. This is crucial to create uniformity with the hundreds of images of this nature that there are. It also makes life easier for those of us who use the images regularaly. Thanks Mangwanani (talk) 20:14, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The image was in the Move to Commons category and with those images I usually try to make the new name on Commons more descriptive. If I change the name of an image, I'll change all the articles that have that image in them to the new name. Sorry if the name I changed it to wasn't in line with the naming guidelines for Zimbabwe banknotes, in future I won't change the names of those images if I'm moving them to Commons. Regards, Matt (Talk) 01:24, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In this case, Zimbabwe dollar note 2008 wasn't as if you look at Zimbabwe's track record, there were 32 notes issued in 2008, so the new name wasn't overly descriptive. But thanks for keeping the standardisation the same in future. Mangwanani (talk) 16:40, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Article (Royal Cliff Beach Resort)[edit]

Dear Matt,

Last time I tried to write the new article about Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Pattaya in Thailand and It was deleted from Wikipedia which was explained that the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company.

Now I have rewrited this article to become more encycopedia and I think this article will be useful for any viewer who want to know about PATTAYA, THAILAND. This hotel is the one of most popular in Thailand and is the one of the very first hotel in PATTAYA. They have recieved multi-award from all over the world in the past 35 years.

Could you please kindly review my article and advise me how to improve this article.

Royal Cliff Beach Resort

Royal Cliff Beach Resort is a luxury five star hotel situated between Jomtien and South Pattaya. The Resort occupies a 64–acre parkland overlooking the Gulf of Siam, along the East Coast of Thailand. The building of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort was inspired by the natural beauty of the bay itself. The resort is well known for its frequent renovations, high level of attention to detail and outstanding service. The hotel has won numerous awards and has recently been elevated to the TTG Travel Hall of fame.

History

From modest beginnings with the 106 room at the Royal Cliff Terrace in 1973, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has demonstrated tremendous growth in the years since. A year after opening of the first hotel, the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel came into existence. For the next twelve years, the 2 hotels established a worldwide reputation as the place to stay in Asia and so the Royal Cliff legend was born. 1986 saw the opening of the Royal Wing & Spa by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, the resort’s premium product, where guests are treated with highly-personalised service and hospitality. In 1992 the resort completed its final hotel, The Royal Cliff Grand & Spa; this architectural masterpiece has always attracted the most sophisticated of travelers, with its large suites and breathtaking views. Trip Advisor once ranked the Royal Cliff Grand & Spa as the number one place to stay in Pattaya.

Late in 1999, a major addition was made to the resort’s already extensive range of meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition facilities. This was the multipurpose stand–alone meeting venue, The Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), with rooms to cater for over 8,000 delegates. As one of Thailand’s newest and most state–of–the–art venues, PEACH is ideal for numerous types of events; from conventions to exhibitions or product launches to gala banquets.

Not content with providing happy holiday memories for thousands of guests, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has also been the setting for some of the most important meetings in the region, and various ASEAN conferences have been held successfully over the years. In 1991, the resort played host to the Cambodian Peace talks and in 1997, the hotel was the venue for the drafting of the new Thai constitution. The Royal Cliff Beach Resort’s reputation as a world-class venue for meetings and conventions was acknowledged once again this year, when it hosted the APEC tourism, attended by senior tourism officials from 21 member countries.

The Phra Aphai Mani Logo

The concept of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort is to provide guests with the most soothing and relaxing stay. That tradition is strictly adhered to today and it is precisely for this reason that Phra Aphai Mani was chosen as the symbol of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. Created by the legendary poet Sunthorn Phu, Phra Aphai Mani and his magic flute is much read by students of Thai literature. As the story goes, Phra Aphai Mani plays the most extraordinarily soothing music on his flute that charms and puts to blissful sleep anyone who listens to it. It is this magic flute and its music which has served Phra Aphai Mani and his friends during dangerous encounters with monsters of the deep. Such is the strength of Phra Aphai Mani that a bronze statue of the fabled hero stands guard at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort to protect visitors. The statue is the resort’s promise of a soothing and truly unforgettable stay.

Hi Kannaphon and welcome to Wikipedia! If you have any relation to the company you want to create an article on it could be considered a conflict of interest. I recommend you create a subpage in your user space (something like User:Kannaphon/Sandbox) and work on your article there. Instructions on how to create subpages can be found here. For some guidance about writing good articles, see Writing better articles, Layout, The perfect article, Manual of Style and Article development. After working on your article in your user space you can request some feedback about it here. Good luck with your article. Regards, Matt (Talk) 04:48, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the prompt reply, Matt. I'm currently working for YourStory.in so I'll get in touch with the site owner for those copyright details. Hope to have everything resolved soon. Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by D'artagnan7 (talkcontribs) 14:45, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shavlik logo you uploaded for me yesterday[edit]

Hi Mark-

You uploaded a graphic file for me yesterday, which was a logo for Shavlik Technologies.

Today someone has deleted the file. I guess I needed to put some kind of copyright info on its description page? I was going to go do that, but it appears the file has been totally removed. Do I need to put it on the requested upload page again?!

Thanks, Pamela

Pamelalies (talk) 19:43, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Even though the Flickr page says that the image is licensed under a Creative Commons license it was deleted because logos are normally copyrighted. You didn't have to edit copyright information in, it was my fault that I didn't ask for further information on the copyright status of the image. If you'd like I can upload it as fair use here on Wikipedia, or if you can get someone to email me a permission form (let me know and I'll give you it to fill out) from a company email address stating that the image is licensed under CC-BY I can upload it again on Commons. Let me know what you want to do. Sorry for what has happened. Regards, Matt (Talk) 07:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi again Matt-

I do have permission from the company to use it - but I think it would be quicker if you could just upload it as fair use. The person I'd need to have sign the form is in Amsterdam and not readily available.

Thanks! Pamela

Hi Matt, couple of questions.[edit]

Hello,

I do not know how to comment directly to your comments, so I apologize for this indirect communication. This is in reference to the pictures I am trying to upload, JetBlue 292 Nose Wheel Pictures. My coworker took these, we work in a parts searching and supplying company to many of the worlds large airlines. These were pics obtained during the incident by my coworker who was on the scene almost immediately. They are not copyrighted in any way. Please let me know how to proceed. If they can not be uploaded, it is not the end of the world, I was just trying to provide some pics for more details.

Also, I saw that you had a concern regarding my username. That is the username I use for everything, and it is the name of my website, so I can see your view of the conflict of interest. I am happy to change it, there is no hidden agenda, but I did not want to do it right now or else or communications might get lost between the two names.

Have a great day,

Greg —Preceding unsigned comment added by TalkAirline (talkcontribs) 17:57, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. To reply to a section click the [edit] link by the title and drop your reply in below everything else. Robert Skyhawk has replied to your WP:IFU request. With your username, when you're renamed, pages in your user and user talk namespaces (so your user and user talk pages) are moved to your new name and the old name redirected there, so you shouldn't have any communication problems. Is there another username you'd like to use on Wikipedia? You can submit a request for rename here. Company usernames are usually blocked on sight by an admin (but yours probably won't be because you've replied to my message), but it's probably better to make the change ASAP. If you need any help with your request/username/anything else feel free to drop me a note here. Regards, Matt (Talk) 08:16, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

YourStory.in Logo[edit]

Dear Matt, I'm inserting an excerpt from an email sent to me by Shradha Sharma, the owner of YourStory.in. Since I didn't have your email address, I have hosted a copy of the scanned registration document to support our case.

Link to registration document --> [2]

Plz send this to Matt. We have already applied for trademark and copyright with the Govt of India, Trademarks Division Intellectual Property Bhavan along with Antop Hill Office (as per requirements). I have attached the scanned copy of the trademark registration which has been filed and accepted with the government. However, as per Indian law, the registration copy takes one year to arrive. Our logo is being aired on CNBC TV18 and can also be seen on various premier websites across India. If required, we can mail you several examples of our presence across the web. One such example can be seen at [3]

Do let me know if there are any more queries. -- Shradha Sharma Founder, www.yourstory.in

Hope to have the logo added for the YourStory.in entry. Thanks. D'artagnan7 (talk) 07:34, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and thanks for your reply. Welcome to Wikipedia by the way! Generally images have to be "free" to be able to be uploaded to Wikipedia - as in not copyrighted. Logos can generally be uploaded as fair use, but I can't find the Your Story article on Wikipedia. To be able to upload the image an article that it's going to be used on has to be specified. If the article isn't finished/been created yet let me know when it has and I'll upload the image then. Regards, Matt (Talk) 08:29, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IFU header[edit]

I can't figure out where the template for the header is stored, but someone vandalized it. Any idea where I can find the template?--Terrillja talk 22:35, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. The page is here. I reverted the vandalism. Just made a list of all of the IFU related pages here. Matt (Talk) 05:54, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I looked everywhere, but couldn't figure out where that header was getting called from. I'll throw in a request at rpp for semi protect since it is high vis template and has no need to be edited by anon users.--Terrillja talk 06:00, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. Cheers, Matt (Talk) 06:11, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The easiest way would probably be getting the copyright holder to upload the image to Flickr, license it under either CC-BY, CC-BY-SA or Public Domain on Flickr, then pass the link onto me. If you need any help, feel free to drop me a note here. Regards, Matt (Talk) 08:48, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Royal Cliff Beach Resort[edit]

Dear Matt,

Last time I tried to write the new article about Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Pattaya in Thailand and It was deleted from Wikipedia which was explained that the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company.

Now I have rewritten this article to become more like encyclopedia and I think this article will be useful for any viewers who want to know about PATTAYA, THAILAND. This hotel is the one of most popular in Thailand and is the one of the very first hotel in PATTAYA. They have received multi-award from all over the world in the past 35 years.

Could you please kindly review my article and advise me how to improve this article.

Triumph Tiger Trail TR7T TR65T[edit]

Hello Thanks for your kind advice. I've placed links to FLICKR for the pictures of the TR7T and TR65T Triumph Tiger Trails. The photographs are not copyright and one is an old Triumph publicity photo deliberately free from copyright so all and sundry could reproduce it ad nauseum to generate more publicity Hope this helps- anything more I can do to have these pictures illustrate the entry, please say.
