Welcome to the Article Rescue Squad[edit]

Hi, MaverickSolutions, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome! -- Banjeboi 19:50, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

April 2009[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: Promotional usernames are used to promote a group or company on Wikipedia. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. -- Tinu Cherian - 04:36, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The way I read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:SPAMNAME, I don't see any problem with my username. There are no restrictions against using a company name as a username. If you feel that any of my posts are an effort to promote a group or company, let us discuss those instances, specifically.

I have reviewed my user page to remove what I thought might have been your cause for concern. Please let me know if there are still any issues.

Hi, the article, Feature model, has been edited by experts in the field and cites research conducted by themselves. As such it has been reported to the conflict of interest noticeboard: Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Feature_model. Could you take a look at and make suggestions to whether it is notable to the COI discussion as I (and others) have absolutely no idea what the article is about? Thanks a lot. I'm no software engineer, but upon a quick skim of the content, it seems to make logical sense to me.

RFC on the inclusion of a table comparing SI units and Binary prefixes[edit]

Notice: An RFC is being conducted here at Talk:Hard diskdrive#RFC on the use of the IEC prefixes. The debate concerns this table which includes columns comparing SI and Binary prefixes to describe storage capacity. We welcome your input
