AfD nomination of Fast Walker[edit]

I've nominated Fast Walker, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Fast Walker satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fast Walker and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Fast Walker during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- Consumed Crustacean | Talk | 00:47, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Malta-related Welcome[edit]

Hello Max.. Meant to say this before, but thanks for your Malta related contributions.. please feel free to swing by WP:MALTA for coordination.. I did have a comment, which is meant constructively: You might want to tone down some of your edit comments (such as those on Żebbuġ, Malta.. if something is wrong, badly worded, inaccurate, etc, feel free to rewrite it of course, but please be nice.. as to Malta vs. Malta Island these make the distinction between the nation and the island. Maybe "on malta" vs "in malta" is a normal differentiation in English, but I wonder if sometimes those unfamiliar with the subjects might need more explanation where it is important to make such a differentiation, between the nation and its largest island. I'm not saying that Żebbuġ needs this distinction, just noting that it does sometimes matter. All the best, and thanks again.. 「ѕʀʟ·

my reverts: reasoning already in TA talk[edit]

I think the heading says it all. It's not about intelligibility (there have been a lot of sound changes), it's about structural relatedness--Drmaik 18:42, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gozo (island) move[edit]

It's a common Wiki-relative beginner's mistake -I've made it too- but when you feel you need to change a page's title, do NOT copy paste but use the Move command, only then the page history is preserved and available for follow-up Fastifex 20:21, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Driving on the left or right - Malta[edit]

Thank you for adding the paragraph about Malta to Driving on the left or right. If you look at the other country sections in this article, there's usually something significant or unusual stated about the left/right situation in a particular country for it to be worthy of its own paragraph. It's not really sufficient to state that Malta continues to drive on the left, as there are plenty of other countries and territories that do this that used to be under British control, and these are all listed at the end of the article already. It would be great if you could add something more, for example about issues surrounding Maltese vehicles in Italy and/or Italian vehicles in Malta. For example, are there many foreign-registered LHD vehicles in Malta? Since Malta joined the EU, do Maltese people try to save money by ordering new RHD vehicles from car dealers in Italy etc? Are many secondhand cars imported to Malta from the UK or Japan? NFH 14:01, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

88[edit]

[1] You may not have noticed but the user in question only edits articles related to nazism and related racial issues. Given this, it is absurd to think that he didn't know what "88" signified in nazi circles and his initial attempts to deny even knowing what it meant makes it much more likely that 88 as HH was his intention. JoshuaZ 01:13, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To be blunt, the username condition isn't "beyond a reasonable doubt" it is essentially up to admin discretion, and I find it more likely than not that it was intended as such. Many admins would perform a WP:USERNAME block for far less. The fact that I haven't done so indicates if anything a ridiculous amount of AGF on my part. JoshuaZ 01:27, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Guinness[edit]

G'day! I wanted to let you know that I removed the Guinness poster from your user page. It is a protected image and as such, its appearance on a user page does not constitute fair use according to this WikiPolicy. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter. --Daysleeper47 03:24, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:JosephCalleja.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JosephCalleja.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NPA[edit]

Hi Max, I'm assuming you were provoked but this edit to User talk:Navman25 looks to me like a probable breach of wp:civil. You might want to reread that policy, regards ϢereSpielChequers 22:13, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Scream Daisy[edit]

A tag has been placed on Scream Daisy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. DarkAudit (talk) 03:26, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
