Replaceable fair use File:B.A.P K-Pop group.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:B.A.P K-Pop group.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. We hope (talk) 23:27, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Shy Boy (Bananarama song), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Shy Boy. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 18:41, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mazic, I don't really care how lazy you think our readers are or how big a fan you are: even articles on K-pop still have to meet regular Wikipedia guidelines, in this case WP:LEAD. A summary of the article, not a bunch of factoids and band member names please. Drmies (talk) 02:56, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Although you're edit was nice, I checked big bands like Back Street Boys and Spice Girls as my model for the article. And yes it does consists the band members names and their debut info. So you think you are right in everything but you're not. :P Mazic (talk) 12:09, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If that makes you feel better, good. I'm glad you didn't repeat the part about lazy readers; perhaps we can move on and make sure that we don't have so many lazy writers. Drmies (talk) 16:24, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Haha. Well, I must warn you that your edits are going to be reverted constantly since I'm not the only fan of them. I suggest that you semi-protect B.A.P's article cause there are MORE careless teenager editors than me. It's a bit messy in K-Pop than other genres. lol Mazic (talk) 04:54, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Shy Boy[edit]

Hi Mazic. I have reverted your page moves of Shy Boy. A major problem is that they were copy paste moves, which separates edit histories making it hard to attribute edits (see Wikipedia:Moving a page#Before moving a page). When you move pages you should use the move command beside the watchlist star. As at least one editor disagrees with the Shy Boy move it would be best to start a discussion at the talk page as to why you think it should be moved. You may even want to request a move. BTW you were mentioned at WP:ANI, but I doubt much will come of this discussion there. AIRcorn (talk) 07:14, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why not make "Shy Boy" a disambiguation page? I read your convo, yeah I'm sorry you can revert it. Thanks. Mazic (talk) 08:54, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Warrior (EP), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page KBS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). License tagging for File:B.A.P Power EP Cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:B.A.P Power EP Cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

April 2012[edit]

Your recent editing history at B.A.P shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to B.A.P ‎. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 19:17, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rapperryan87[edit]

Your edits to certain Korean pop-group articles are very similar to the ones by Rapperryan87 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Like you he kept adding positions of Korean musicians without using reliable sources. This user and all his sockpuppets are blocked. Please see: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ryanjay1996 and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ryanjay1996. I know that most probably you are not a sockpuppet. So please do not do edits like the ones the blocked sockpuppets attempted. Please stop adding positions of group members without using reliable sources and without discussing them first on the talkpage of the articles. Let's make Wikipedia a reliable encyclopaedia. Thank you. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 19:18, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here you helped restore the sockpuppet's edits: diff by reverting my edit. Please do not do this again. Thank you. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 19:23, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just give me a sec and I'll add reliable sources for the members positions.. Mazic (talk) 19:26, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, it would be no problem. Thank you. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις
Don't know at to what extent that sockpuppet has been bugging you, but I added a Korean source for the members positions and an English source(The English Source only specified the roles like leader, main vocalist, sub-vocalist, rapper but the Korean one says other specific roles like main rapper, lead dancer, main dancer, which can also be seen in the video posted by MTV[The video is a documentary show about the group and you can see their positions there]).
Yes, the socks never discussed anything and added unreferenced information by edit-warring despite all the warnings. I will take the references you added in good-faith and I will not revert further. I trust that the Korean reference covers things like leader. rapper etc. because the citation in English doesn't mention them. But thank you for finding these references and keeping Wikipedia verifiable. Best regards. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 20:03, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No probs. And thanks for taking your time in this article too. I hope the members positions dispute is resolved now. Mazic (talk) 00:28, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox Korean Film[edit]

Hello Mazix, I saw your ID on WikiProject as well as saw you have done a lot of edits on Korean media so I thought you might be interested in a debate at Template Talk on the topic of merging Infobox Korean Film into the generic Infobox Film category, deleting the Hangul/hanja/RR/MR information, or keeping it separate (as it currently is). I would appreciate it if you to contribute your thoughts or at least glance over it. The more people looking/thinking about it will give us better ideas as to what should be decided. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:22, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ƏXPLICIT 02:37, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
