Hi! Just wanted to say thanks so much for your peer review. In answer to your questions/comments, (1) The Snopes.com reference was to a very brief 'roundup' article of urban legends by Snopes. The part concerning Polybius was only a few sentences long and offered no reason as to why Snopes considered it a hoax; I felt it was truly poor evidence to support the idea of it being merely urban legend. That said, most people do place a lot of value in Snopes, so perhaps I should put it back in. (2) Thanks so much for pointing out the problem with the quote-- I actually forgot to check the original context of the quote. Some other author had inserted it, and I had simply shifted the quote to the Analysis section, forgetting to check its context! (3) I will add more of an introduction to Dunning and Despira-- thanks!
