DYK for Stahls Automotive Collection[edit]

On 11 February 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Stahls Automotive Collection, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Stahls Automotive Collection includes cars built for films such as The Great Race, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Reivers? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Stahls Automotive Collection. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Stahls Automotive Collection), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

No connected editor templates?[edit]

I'm very surprised that you haven't used the Template:connected editor or Template:Connected contributor (paid) template in some of the articles that you've extensively edited e.g., History of the University of Texas at Arlington. Am I missing or misunderstanding something? ElKevbo (talk) 01:25, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have been very careful not to edit articles relating to UTA as part of my paid responsibilities, so {{Connected contributor (paid)}} does not apply. I am only uploading images to Wikimedia Commons and adding them to Wikipedia articles, where appropriate, as part of my job. You can see this disclaimer clearly on my userpage: "I am currently both uploading digitized materials to Wikimedia Commons and adding them, where appropriate, to Wikipedia articles as part of my work for UTA."
I was not previously aware of {{Connected editor}}. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It should be added to the following articles:

Would you like me to add it or would you rather do so? Michael Barera (talk) 05:58, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's generally better accepted as a good-faith gesture if the editor in question adds it to the relevant article(s).
I also strongly encourage you to reconsider creating and editing articles about your employer. Ideas and concerns about conflicts of interest don't assume bad faith or ill intent but also encourage us to avoid practices that could be misconstrued and easily avoided.  Done Thanks for your concern, ElKevbo. Michael Barera (talk) 03:40, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article History of the University of Texas at Arlington (1965–present) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Hi - as you can see on the review page, I've asked for a second opinion. Again, apologies if this slows us down, but I don't trust my own judgement alone here. I also noticed you haven't edited in a little bit. Could you confirm that you're generally around to make fixes and respond to issues? Thanks. —Ganesha811 (talk) 01:50, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm still around, but not as active as I used to be. If this causes any problems on your end we can certainly drop this GAN. Michael Barera (talk) 23:00, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks for letting me know. If we don't get a second-opinion-responder in the next week I'll probably drop the GAN with no prejudice against renomination. —Ganesha811 (talk) 21:46, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article History of the University of Texas at Arlington (1965–present) you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:History of the University of Texas at Arlington (1965–present) for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article.
