Uploaded Images[edit]

Hello MidMadWiki. Just a friendly notice: Concerning all the Penguin Chat images that you uploaded, you tagged them with license {{PD-self}}, assuming that you are the copyright holder of those images. But, though you took the screenshots yourself, did you develop/do you own Penguin chat? In case you do not, then that would mean that the images cannot be on a Wikipedia article, unless they are tagged with {{Non-free game screenshot}}, along with a fair use rationale (an explanation of why such unfree image should be allowed to be displayed on a specefic Wikipedia article). So, if you do not own the images' copyrights, then please replace {{PD-self}} with {{Non-free game screenshot}} and add the fair use rationale (I could help you with that if you wish), on all the Penguin Chat images; this way, we would avoid any possible copyright infringement and at the same time we would be able to keep the images on the Penguin Chat article. For instance, I once uploaded this image and, despite the fact that I took the screenshot myself, I do not own the copyrights, so I tagged it as fair use. If you have any questions or doubts regarding this matter, then feel totally free to ask. Good luck, TomasBat 23:49, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see you've added {{Non-free game screenshot}}. Well done! :) TomasBat 00:38, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DDpengchat.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DDpengchat.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:37, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Penguin Chat[edit]

I have nominated Penguin Chat, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Penguin Chat. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest[edit]

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 03:09, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
