Unspecified source for Image:Untitled FC.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Untitled FC.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:16, 24 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Untitled F.C.[edit]

The article Untitled F.C. was deleted per consensus of an Articles for Deletion discussion. Please do not re-create it. (ESkog)(Talk) 05:28, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, What must i do to create the Untitled F.C. page without it being deleted i attempted to do all the actions i was asked to do but i was never successful in my page staying on Wikipedia. Can you please help me Untitled F.C. is a valid team that is known search on google and you will see the various sites where it is known. Thank You, Mido z05 (talk) 18:41, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry, there is nothing you can do. Wikipedia is a general encyclopedia, not a place for articles about anything and everything, and it has clear standards for what gets in. Yes, your team is real, it exists, but it is not notable enough, i.e. of enough general interest to have an article in Wikipedia, and you will just have to get used to that idea. You put the article in, we had the discussion (click here) and, as you can see, everyone was agreed. If you create it again, it will just be deleted again; and if you go on, eventually the title will be salted so that it cannot be created, and you will be blocked from editing. There are plenty of web-sites that would be happy to let you set up a home-page for your team - find one of them. JohnCD (talk) 19:04, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As said in the debate there was no article or web info on the team on a Google search other than the wikipedia page... well if you look now you can see the league it self, the team website, and another website that show the team, the players, and news about the team, so therefore i think the team is notable and has notable sources. Just search Untitled F.C. on Google or visit the web pages here http://www.carling.com/oa/untitledfc/ http://untitled.f.c.googlepages.com/home http://www.mapleleafsoccer.com/outdoor/outdoor-standings.html Mido z05 (talk) 19:30, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Those are your own and your league's web-sites, not independent. Yes, they prove your team exists, but nobody doubts that. They are not "significant coverage in secondary sources which are reliable, and independent of the subject." And there is no point producing a fixture list from the local paper, that won't be enough either. You can see at WP:ATHLETE the sort of level Wikipedia is interested in - fully professional, or the highest level of amateur sport. I'm sorry, but you're flogging a dead horse. Give it up. You've got good web-sites there - be content with those. JohnCD (talk) 20:09, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
