KBMG

Hello! Back in '08 you added K272BI as a translator for KBMG; current information seems to indicate that K272BI is a translator for KCWC. Just thought I would check with you and allow you to make any appropriate changes. Rudy2alan 14:47, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

If the source says the translator moved somewhere else, by all means feel free to edit it. I wouldnt see any issues with that. If you need any other help let me know. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 00:42, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

HD Licensing

I think that a U.S. radio station requires at least an addendum to their license to broadcast in HD. [1][2] I was corrected a few times on Wikipedia edits because I included the HD Radio template next to the frequency in the infobox, but in fact the license did not indicate digital: hybrid status. Please view the question on the third from the bottom for the reference which I've included. Rudy2alan 13:41, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Your first link regards music, and even then its just an addendum to a station's license to broadcast that music. Music licensing and the station's FCC license are two different things. That doesn't say anywhere that a station has to be approved by the FCC to broadcast in HD. The second link is about studio to transmitter links. While it may be true the FCC wants to know that you're carrying digital HD, they don't specifically say that the station has to be "licensed to carry HD". I'm in the process of asking a couple of engineers this question and will reply back if I hear more. Honestly I still think its more voluntary than the FCC specifically gives you a license to transmit in digital hybrid. Yes, they want to know you do it, but they don't license you do to so. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 17:23, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
I got a reply back from someone who works in the radio industry. He said the FCC does not license stations to broadcast in HD. The station needs to informally let the FCC know when they start broadcasting in hybrid digital (your second link relates to this). Ibiquity or the company that owns HD handles the licensing from there on out. In short, no, the FCC does not license a station to broadcast in HD, they do that on their own. The FCC just wants to know whether or not they are in HD. That is why I reverted those sentences. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 19:44, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, and I'll take that as the standard from now on; it will be interesting to see whether anyone else indicates that a station is licensed for HD operation.Rudy2alan 13:28, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Admin help requested.

Is it possible to mass-revert edits made by an IP address? The editor is [1], and every one of their edits has been disruptive. They are removing content and messing up formatting. Thanks. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 22:43, 11 April 2017 (UTC)

My trick is to make sure Twinkle is installed (in gadgets in preferences), then on viewing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/173.81.187.245 - you get "(current) [rollback: 3 edits] [rollback] [vandalism]" on every edit that is current. Run down the page, right click each red "vandalism" and select "open in new tab". When you get to the bottom, just close all tabs. Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:54, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
Very cool. Thanks for the tip. I do use Twinkle. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 00:08, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

About KEVA AM 1240.

DEAR whoever you are; the Iron Knytes Association purchased the license through the last 3 years of negotiations with the Federal Communications Commission, and was granted a provisional license in January 2017. The new call letters are officially KSOA AM, no longer KEVA. If you want to review our streaming sites your welcome to. They are simply if your not to stupid, are www.livestream.com/hazzardayre or www.spreaker.com/ayrewolf As far as the information on Hagerman Idaho, I was born and raised there. The Hazzard County Garage was created in 1980 and in 1981 was officially chartered in Idaho, the town was nicknamed Hazzard, per a motion by then, Robert Sandy, Senator of the district, who was in office at the time. The Hazzard Knytes have been together since 1982 and has grown to over 250,000 members nation wide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DixieWolfIdaho (talkcontribs) 04:55, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Until you provide evidence of this hearsay, it will continue to be reverted. Besides, how could you possibly take over KEVA when the license was terminated by the FCC? Also, the FCC should have a record of these so called negotiations but there is nothing to be found in public correspondence. If you were granted a provisional license in January, where is the proof. You have to back things up on Wikipedia, cite your sources. You can't just randomly dump a bunch of stuff that frankly looks like WP:ADVERT into an article and expect it to stay. What you've added to my talk page is advertisement. I don't care about your show. I care about the integrity of Wikipedia. If you can find proof that you took over KEVA some how, and will be broadcasting with a license, show me. Don't link to a blog. Link to a reputable site. Again, there is no record of what you say anywhere to be found. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 05:05, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Edit Warring

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Bill Nye Saves the World shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war and have broken the three-revert rule. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.Pepe.is.great (talk) 21:09, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

Anyone who patrols this page care to take note of the reporting editor´s talk page. Editor has been warned for the same thing, and this is most likely a copy-paste in retaliation. I have not violated the WP:3RR on Bill Nye Saves the World. I have been editing wikipedia for 11 years. I know the rules here. This editor has less than 50 edits. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 21:18, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
As I have said on the talk page of Bill Nye Saves the World you made 4 reverts in 24hrs, I admittedly did the same thing and apologise for this, but the warning is justified.Pepe.is.great (talk) 21:26, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
I think you are confusing reversions and editing. I see the four edits, but there are only two reversions. Per the talk page the general feeling I got from the same section we are talking about is that metacritic numbers can not be sourced, but the reviews themselves that metacritic scores can be used. As far as the Independent goes, once this dispute resolution gets taken care of, we will find out what the other editors think. If it is ultimately found out that the Independent is a reliable source, that´s completely fine. I will concede that it is a reliable source, but only after consensus has been reached. Again, there are four edits but they are not all reversions that would constitute the WP:3RR. Basically edits do not always constitute edit warring. My edits are following the talk page. I do not have an agenda. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 21:32, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

Thank you

re: the Bill Nye thing, thank you for commenting on KDS's talk page and at least speaking up to point out that Anarcho dishonestly didn't notify anyone about the "discussion" he started.

I wish that KDS were being honest about what I have said and haven't said, but at this point, I can't do much else about it. I can't in good conscience participate in any sort of farce like that. Morty C-137 (talk) 17:07, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

I understand your side but that's why I got out of it. It seems like everyone already has their minds made up and I don't want to keep bickering with someone who has a 10th of the edits I do and accuses me of edit warring. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 17:09, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

I still think that "Pepe" person is actually one of the people who was trying to make anti-semitic edits. They magically show up using Pepe the Frog as their mascot? At seemingly the same time as Anarcho edited on the Pepe wikipedia article? I wish I knew how to report it all coherently. Morty C-137 (talk) 17:12, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

It would not surprise me. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 17:14, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Would you be able to assist in writing it? Morty C-137 (talk) 17:21, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

I will see what I can do. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 17:22, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Pepe's latest insertions, trying to put stuff in from National Review (an extremist alt-right think tank site) and Washington Examiner (a tabloid paper on the level of Townhall or Breitbart given away for free), seem similar to earlier attempts to insert Breitbart/LifeSiteNews/etc "sourcing". Morty C-137 (talk) 17:52, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Oh geez. That stuff is definitely not a reliable source. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 17:55, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

I've tried to remove it, he keeps putting it back. Now he's claiming in talk that he's justified because "all reviews are opinion pieces" despite him trying to use wording from it to claim that the show is "too political with not enough of his claims, on gender and sex in particular, backed up by scientific evidence". This is really problematic. Morty C-137 (talk) 18:37, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

I have done about as much as I can besides full out reverting it, but I am afraid he is going to put it back and we will get into another edit war. Not worth my time. Let a third party decide it, is what I suggest. You and I know damn well the claims made by that article are full of it but its a source, and we must treat it as such. This is the messiest situation I think I have ever been in since I started editing 11 years ago. I have never seen anything like it although it sounds like it is a common occurrence. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 23:11, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Check this edit. My suspicions just got even stronger. They're back to trying to push the user-generated scores... https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bill_Nye_Saves_the_World&type=revision&diff=780746346&oldid=780712640

According to multiple editors in the talk before that violates https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources#User-generated_content

How interesting. I reverted that edit and reported it as vandalism because thats exactly what it is. I havent checked the diffs but I would not jump to the conclusion that this is somehow related to Pepe (although I do see at least some resemblance). This (sorry for my language) shit is getting out of hand. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 23:37, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
Also for the record, I do not believe these two editors are the same person. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 23:41, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

It's way too coincidental for me. Way way too many coincidences. Pepe seems obsessed with Pepe the Frog and calls themself a communist and just put a Russian flag on their page as well, Anarcho edits about The Daily Stormer a lot (even 1st edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Daily_Stormer&diff=prev&oldid=744684651) and edited about Pepe the Frog not long after the Pepe account was made and I did a search, Anarcho also tried to remove a mention of Pepe the Frog being a hate symbol a while back (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pepe_the_Frog&diff=prev&oldid=749939135). Pepe is trying to deliberately hunt up redundant stuff from dubious sources to fill the reaction section with, and along comes this "new" one to try to put in the user-generated stuff again? There's something going on here. I apologize if I am not making total sense but there is too much weird here. Morty C-137 (talk) 00:02, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

You are making complete sense. I see some of the connections. Perhaps bring this information up on the dispute noticeboard. It would be useful if other editors knew this is what is going on. If there is no connection, there is no connection. If there is, it explains why they are going after this article. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 00:06, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Kindly separate me from whatever issues you have with alt-right dickheads, of which I knew nothing until Pepe appeared on my page. Believe it or not, it is possible to think this show is depressing garbage without being a white supremacist and to notice that the article as written gives an impression that is bizarrely out of touch to anyone who isn't living under a rock when it comes to the real world reception of the show. Cdg428 (talk) 03:28, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

The reason YOUR edits were reverted is because they contained your opinion which Wikipedia cannot allow and I certainly won't tolerate it. Pepes post on your talk page has nothing to do with me but he is correct in his statement. Keep your opinion of the show off the articles and nobody will bother you. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 03:34, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Morty appears to have been trying to link me to this nonsense because of my post and also incredibly dumb observations about my posting history and you've been going along with that, so don't even try it with that BS attitude. Cdg428 (talk) 03:43, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

You have made 31 edits to Wikipedia and you are being hostile. Not a good way start here, just saying. Also, I am not accusing you of anything, we are simply comparing edits. You probably do not have anything to do with the other editors as you mentioned, but Morty and I are trying to figure out if there IS a sock puppet who is persistently changing the Bill Nye Saves the World, page. It is a discussion. Nobody is expressly pointing fingers. My only problem with your edit was that you inserted an un-sourced statement directly into the text, and reiterated something from an aggregate website. The reception section of that article has been discussed quite in length on the talk page, and you will see why we can't cite user reviews or figures. It just isn't notable. Trolls can flood rotten tomatoes and drop a given show's ratings down. This is especially true with controversial shows such as this one we are talking about. Bill Nye is a controversial person because of who he is and what he says. People disagree with him. So what. Wikipedia has a policy to remain as neutral as possible. Including unsourced material is a good way to get your account blocked indefinitely. You've already been warned once for it. I am pretty sure other editors and administrators here would agree with my assessment to warn you based on that sole diff alone. I don't know who you are, I am not accusing you of anything. I don't care what your political opinions are, however I the minute you add vandalism to wikipedia, you get reported. Simple as that. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 03:58, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

KUER FM move to KUER 90.1

I moved KUER FM to KUER 90.1 because they haven’t been referred to as KUER-FM for nearly 10 years, so KUER 90.1 is more recognizable to people thus providing more accurate information. This is the title KUER uses to refer to itself, so I thought the Wikipedia page should reflect that.

But you're not following naming conventions when doing that. Regardless of what a station goes by on air, we have them named via their actual physical call signs. That's the way it has been, that's the way it will continue to be. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 17:59, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

KUER

Well than it should be changed to simply say KUER as that's what their most recent FCC license states

For some reason the FM suffix is attached. I don't know why on that article. Maybe there is a redirect in the way or a disambig page. Not sure. I'll look into it. For now it should probably just stay where it is. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 18:52, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Signature HTML bug

I think there is a tag-balancing bug in your signature. I see:

<span style="white-space:nowrap;border:1px solid #660066;padding:1px;"><span style="color:#000033;">ḾỊḼʘɴίcả</span> • <span style="color:blue;">Talk</span> • <span style="color:#CC0000;">I DX for fun!</span></span>

The opening <small> is closed instead by the last </span>. Instead, it should either begin with <span> or end with </small>. There is a new parser strictness on wikipedia, and this mismatch is now listed as an error. I tried one of those two fixes and it cleared the error. Looks like this signature has been in use for a while, so there are lots of talkpages that are currently buggy...please let me know which solution you will use so we can get that propagated to fix on them. Can you Please Make Pages?

Hi Milonica if you can please make pages for the rest of the WDIV staff and former Staff here is the link? I don't know how to make pages but I am sure you know how. https://www.clickondetroit.com/team Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.36.68.29 (talk) 23:16, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

That would be a significant amount of work with a subject I'm not overly familiar with. If you want, you can ask on the WDIV talk page and someone who watches the article closer should help you more than I can. Remember, they have to be notable. Not every news personality has a wikipedia page. They're more local celebrities if that, so they need to be notable. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 03:29, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
