How you can help

Thank you! I've done the tutorial but there seems to be so much to learn. I hope to expand on my Unaccompanied Refugee Minor section. Is it easier to write in a Word document and then upload somehow? I haven't found yet how to do this - cut and paste? Moellea (talk) 19:06, 17 April 2010 (UTC) Found the Wizard and the ability to build first on a user page. Anyone out there to take a look at what I've got on there thus far?Moellea (talk) 22:02, 17 April 2010 (UTC) Having some difficulty uploading a photo. It is available for public use and I have uploaded it but it won't show up on my test userpage. Moellea (talk) 22:52, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To get the image to show up, use "[[File:UNBoyw-Bag.jpg|thumb|Caption]]". As for the page you're developing, is that all to go as a subsection of the refugee article, or is it a new article in itself? It seems a bit too detailed for the former. I agree. I'd like to figure out how to make it into an article of its own. Moellea (talk) 19:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Full details on using images are at WP:FILE. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:13, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can't get the photo to move to a better space on the page or how to get the caption under the photo.Moellea (talk) 19:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You need to replace the word "Caption" in "[[File:UNBoyw-Bag.jpg|thumb|Caption]]" with the caption that you want to use. To move the image to the left-hand side of the page, add "|left" after "|thumb". The vertical placement is determined by where you place the image in the text. Cordless Larry (talk) 08:54, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And once you're ready to turn it into a page, you copy and paste the code to Unaccompanied Refugee Minors in the United States, if that's what you want to call it. Cordless Larry (talk) 13:39, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:UNBoyw-Bag.jpg[edit]
