Non-free rationale for File:Wanis Bukhamada Libyan Special Forces.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Wanis Bukhamada Libyan Special Forces.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 23:29, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Khalifa B Haftar.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello Mohamed.elmaleh. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Mohamed.elmaleh. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mohamed.elmaleh|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Whpq (talk) 19:30, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to say to you that you are insulting the libyan people by what you letting the Muslim brotherhood type on there National army, I find what you have done very insulting , Whpq (talk) (Clarification: The sentence I would like ... was added by Mohamed.elmaleh at 03:26, 13 November 2019, not by Whpq. It does not sound like a COI statement to me. Boud (talk) 12:29, 13 November 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Your images[edit]

If the army s the copyright holder of the photos, then you need to confirm the permission via OTRS. See WP:DONATEIMAGE for more information. Ifyou have additional questions about copyright and images you can post at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. I will note that on Commons, there was at least one image that came from AFP, a press agency. You cannot just upload things and claim copyright over them if they are from somebody else.-- Whpq (talk) 19:35, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced additions[edit]

Hi. I see you're adding a lot of content that lacks attribution to reliable sources. This is a problem and is something you need to start addressing. Thanks in advance for your close attention. El_C 23:02, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Mohamed.elmaleh, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mohamed.elmaleh|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Whpq (talk) 23:56, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Supreme comander of the libyan national army.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Supreme comander of the libyan national army.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Libyan National Army, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. This edit by you was not constructive when you removed reliably sourced information on the 450 kUSD lobbying on behalf of Abdulrazek al-Nadoori and on the leadership role of an LNA commander, Mahmoud al-Werfalli, wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes. Please propose removal on the talk page if you feel it is necessary. But as you are apparently paid by the LNA media center for your edits, you should first make a COI declaration as Whpq has requested above. A COI does not prevent you from editing; but you do have to be up-front about it, follow the guidelines and respect other editors - and propose edits on the talk page if they risk being controversial. Boud (talk) 03:18, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You still have not responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying you may be blocked from editing. Whpq (talk) 11:38, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please respond to this query before continuing to edit the article. Failure to do so will result in your restriction from editing. El_C 05:30, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Independently of the repeated request above, this edit by Mohamed.elmaleh at 05:25, 7 November 2019 has several aspects showing a difficulty of the editor in understanding the aims of Wikipedia:
    1. changing the hatnote to See also|Libyan National Army hides the fact that the Libyan armed forces are split and one is generally called (in English) LNA and the other is generally called the Libyan Army commanded by the Government of National Accord (GNA);
    2. setting unit_name = Libyan Army creates confusion with the Libyan Army entry
    3. setting command_structure = Libyan Armed Forces is misleading - the Libyan Armed Forces article is a historical and overview article - it doesn't define the current command structure of the LNA run by Haftar
Those three parts of the edit (now reverted) are misleading and confusing.
Mohamed.elmaleh - please respond to El_C's request. Boud (talk)

Orphaned non-free image File:عبد الرازق الناظوري.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:عبد الرازق الناظوري.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:58, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
