Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "MoreOrLezFun", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it might be offensive. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. i know you probably meant 'less' not 'lez' so the admins may give you a chance to change your name Lerdthenerd wiki defender 19:55, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I meant Lez; it's an obvious play on words. That anyone would think that Lez is offensive, especially in this context, is offensive to me. Had Lez been preceded by an expletive or an offensive modifier, an example of which I will decline to provide (you can use your own imagination), I would concede that it was offensive. However, Lez by itself, or in this context, is not offensive. I am more or less a fun person and I am a lesbian. I don't think that identifying my orientation in my user name is any more offensive than identifying that I think I am, more or less, a fun person. I appreciate the concern, thank you for pointing out the possible violation. (MoreOrLezFun (talk) 21:59, 23 January 2013 (UTC))[reply]
  • As an admin who reviews username issues it is my opinion that this does not constitute a policy violation at all. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:51, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • As another admin who also reviews username issues, I agree with Beeblebrox. We have several usernames containing "fart" for example, which might be considered more offensive than a username containing "lez", but they get a pass here. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:50, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
