Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Visa requirements for Iranian citizens, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you.--Twofortnights (talk) 18:28, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Visa requirements for Iranian citizens have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Visa requirements for Iranian citizens, you may be blocked from editing. --Twofortnights (talk) 17:44, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Threats[edit]

Hello, please do not make threats, veiled or otherwise, as you did at the end of this edit. I appreciate your desire to get useful information into Wikipedia, but threats will not get you what you want -- they will only result in either mockery or exasperation. They may also result in your editing rights on Wikipedia being revoked, which would be unfortunate. MPS1992 (talk) 17:59, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia rules[edit]

Please get acquainted with the rules of Wikipedia. Here are some useful quotes:

Wikipedia:Verifiability: In Wikipedia, verifiability means that anyone using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. Wikipedia does not publish original research. Its content is determined by previously published information rather than the beliefs or experiences of its editors. Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it.
WP:SOURCES: Base articles on reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy.
Wikipedia:No original research: Do not add unsourced material from your personal experience.

All this means that no one is disputing your experience or saying it isn't true. The only problem is that Wikipedia rules prohibit personal experiences from being added to articles here. Wikipedia rules say that you must supply a reliable, third party, published source that backs up your claim. I hope this clarifies.--Twofortnights (talk) 23:46, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is something new. It's nowhere on the internet, BUT, IT'S VERIFIABLE. Just contact Aeromexico, tell them that you are Iranian and you want to take a flight (any available) that has a stop in mexico international airport. ask them specifically if you need any so called "airport transit visa" (this is required to stop in some European international airports even for a few hours) and if there are any problems accessing the transit hall of mexico international airport.

OR, ask anyone who has passed by mexico international airport. Ask about the arrangement of the airport. The immigration is before transit hall ! ! ! everyone, no matter what nationality what passport has to go through immigration to enter the transit hall !

If you don't care, then expect me to edit the page again and again till you delete my subscription on wikipedia  ! ! !

Cheers !

I am sorry but the Wikipedia rule says it's verifiable only if it's published somewhere and you yourself said that it's nowhere on the internet. If you don't like this rule you can challenge it, but until then it's the rule and we have to follow it. Your suggestion to contact Aeromexico to check - how does that fix the problem that this is not published anywhere? Will my phone call to Aeromexico make this information published? No it won't. If Aeromexico would put this information on their website - now that would be a source in accordance with Wikipedia rules.--Twofortnights (talk) 11:38, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Better places to tell the world about Mexican transit problems[edit]

Hello again. If there are not reliable sources online about the problems caused by the polices at Mexico international airport, then Wikipedia is not the places to tell the world about these problems. An appropriate place to share your knowledge and experience would be this currently open Tripadvisor thread where other people mention similar problems and concerns. Or possibly by starting a discussion -- which it suggests you can do after registering -- at this rather promotional article about the airport which says "We show a model that will be an inspiration for future airports, which will be efficient, operationally flexible and, above all, beautiful and a great experience." Perhaps your experience does not agree with that hope.

Your other alternative is to find a journalist, tell them about the problems, ask them to do the research you mention above, persuade them to publish their findings in a reliable source -- and such findings may then possibly be suitable for mention in Wikipedia. Here is an internet reference: https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Benito_Ju%C3%A1rez_International_Airport

paragraph 3 of "Arrival " section says: If you arrive on an international flight, you will go through immigration, luggage retrieval and then customs. If the immigration officer gives you an immigration form, keep it until you leave the country. If you lose or misplace it during the visit, you must visit the immigration office at the airport

So if you have to go through immigration to get to your departure gate and you don't have a valid visa, you will end up in detention.

So, would you stop deleting my text?

Sorry, wikivoyage is yet another user-edited website, it is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. Why have you not engaged with the tripadvisor thread that I mentioned, to warn people about the problems with the Mexican airport? MPS1992 (talk) 02:13, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
