Sources for Batwing

Hello, good work on Batwing, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Can you list in the article any websites, books, or other sources that will allow people to verify the content in Batwing? Jackie Robinson

He had had only 4 hits in the first 6 games of the 1955 World Series. I don't know, but I'm guessing Walter Alston benched him in the crucial Game 7 and instead had Don Hoak at third base, for defensive reasons. Baseball Bugs ^{What's up, Doc?} 13:12, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

In his book, I Never Had It Made, he doesn't specifically address Game 7, but he says that during 1955 and 1956, he was benched a lot due to downturned hitting, and also points out that he was preparing to leave baseball, which also undercuts the myth that he was unwilling to play for the Giants upon being abortively traded after 1956.
