License tagging for Image:229266693.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:229266693.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:04, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

please don't remove speedy deletion tags[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Katie Lisel. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. coelacan — 18:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. coelacan — 18:16, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Deletion[edit]

"Why is my article being deleted? Please help me correct it so it won't be deleted" - I'm not sure what one you mean, but click on the "this article's entry" link in the header. Also, see Wikipedia:Deletion policy. --Geniac 05:15, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"I wrote a few articles on a beauty pageant and someone named cocelan is going around saying that they're false and that it's run by me, when it isn't. He's giving a bunch of false information which is unfair." - You should address these concerns on the applicable Articles for Deletion entries for those articles. --Geniac 05:19, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mtoa, please do not edit others' comments like you did at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Katie Lisel. --Geniac 05:50, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Katie Lisel[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Katie Lisel meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Katie Lisel. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. coelacan — 05:16, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You obviously have something against me for no reason, just delete it.

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Katie Lisel. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --Geniac 05:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re my talk page[edit]

I replied at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daniella Morris so that the discussion can stay on topic of the actual articles and their merits. By the way, are you also Katie's manager? coelacan — 06:57, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Candace Kuykendall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Slp1 01:06, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • PS: I know it may seem like people are trying to delete things you're trying to contribute for no good reason but there's a reason editors are responding to your articles this way. Please take the time to look at the following policies: Wikipedia:Neutral point of view Wikipedia:Verifiability Wikipedia:No original research Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Not every person of moderate fame is notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia. Please take a look as Notability (people) for some of the standards used to judge such matters. The welcome message at the top of this talk page has links to some other guidelines you should look at as well. Really, Wikipedia welcomes your participation and contributions but it would be helpful if you could read some of these policies and guidelines. Leave a message on my talk page if you'd like advice or you have questions. Thanks. Pigmandialogue 01:40, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As noted by someone below, you can put "{{db-author}}" at the top of those pages you want deleted if you want. That's with two curly brackets on each end and without the quotes. This says that the original author of the page feels it should be deleted. If you don't, eventually other Wikipedians will make their own judgments on whether the articles are worth keeping on Wikipedia and expanding. Please don't worry about it. We've all made mistakes on Wikipedia, it's part of the learning curve since we're all volunteers on the project. I'm sorry you got swarmed so quickly about your articles but promotional content is also frowned upon and some people obviously picked up on possible conflict of interest with your additions. Again, sorry if you felt jumped on.
Oh, and it's helpful if, when you write on talk pages (not articles), you sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~). When you save the message, the tildes are translated into a signature with your username and the time you posted it. Thanks. --Pigmandialogue 03:38, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mtoa[edit]

I too am sorry that you have had such a difficult start to Wikipedia life. Unfortunately people need to be fairly famous before they get a page here, but hopefully some of your proteges will be well known enough soon!! I notice from your post on Paul Pigman's page that you would like the articles deleted. The easiest thing to do is to go to each page and add {{db-author} (with a second squiggly bracket } to close it off- I can't put it here or this page will be marked too!) and then save the page. The articles will all be deleted fairly quickly. Like, I said, good luck with the young women and their careers!!! --Slp1 02:09, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but you can use the nowiki tag so it comes out like {{db-author}}. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 03:00, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
