Taio Cruz BLP Issues[edit]

Myspace is a self published source. Therefore it is not allowed to be used on wikipedia. Nor are blogs. Please revert your edits. Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:28, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Taio Cruz Myspace page along with Taiocruzmusic.co.uk are both run by island records/UMG. therefore the information provided on one of their artists is no different to an independent writer seeing as the content is not uploaded by the artist themselves.

Please take note of the following wikipedia rule - verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true - Official website and official blog are both Reliable and verifiable.

--Musikshun (talk) 02:41, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't matter i think you'll find per WP:SELFPUBLISHED artists' twitter, myspace or facebook pages are not considered notable, verifiable or reliable and should not be used. If you disagree you should go to the WP:Reliable sources noticeboard and state why you think the source should be allowed but currently myspace is not allowed to be used to source things. ASCAP is considered both reliable and verifiable because it is the official legal registration body for songwriters where they are supposed to register their legal names so that they can collect royalities from songs. There is no evidence to say that the profiles on myspace are officially run by the record labels. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:24, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you are still not convinced see discussions here, here, here, here and here.
If you can show me a discussion where Administrators have approved the use of Myspace I won't have an issue with it. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:32, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ASCAP has his name registered as Taio Cruz. Do your research. --Musikshun (talk) 20:49, 27 June 2010 (UTC)]][reply]

Yes ASCAP registers names not from birth but what the artist credits themselves as when they write/produce songs. LIke i said the evidence is above for myspace. Regards. Lil-unique1 (talk) 20:53, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok well this is ridiculous. I know Taio Cruz and his team personally and he/they are extremely frustrated with the constant incorrect information posted onto this highly regarded information source. How would you suggest he/we proceed because apparently information straight from the horses mouth is not accepted here. --Musikshun (talk) 21:18, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the Billboard references as they are dead links, so cannot be used. For further info on his DOB, see what I wrote on the discussion page.Ravenscroft32 (talk) 21:22, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Taio Cruz photo[edit]

Hi, is it possible for us to upload a new more recent photo under Taio Cruz's page please? I can send jpegs to choose from?

Many thanks Lucy —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucyboots123 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jamie Binns has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. PinkBull 00:16, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
