Image copyright problem with File:Captaindickhead.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Captaindickhead.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Captain dickhead[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Captain dickhead, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable, fails WP:RS.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The article Police patrol zones of Atlanta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The whole article lacks notability and is simply a list of zones for a metro police department. The zones themselves are not notable and therefore this article is worthless. Anyone who wanted to view the information could easily click the link for: http://www.atlantapd.org/findmyzone.aspx which should be simply in the external links section, or maybe a reference for a single sentence on the Atlanta Police Department article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 06:35, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have the wrong user. I never created nor edited anything having to do with Police patrol zones of Atlanta. Please remove me from this discussion. MW

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Response[edit]

I never created this article, nor have I ever had any part in editing it. Not sure why you are posting this on my talk page. I think you may have the wrong user. - MW

The article Golden Flake has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of significance or importance. Being a public traded company does not assert notability. Routine stock market reports, corporate listings, press releases, and primary sources. Fails WP:GNG, WP:ORG, and WP:ORGDEPTH. WP:NOTYELLOW.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Response[edit]

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. While I didn't create the Golden Flake page, I find the proposal for it's deletion preposterous, and frankly quite suspicious. Tell me, Mr Kudpung กุดผึ้ง, who do you really work for? Frito-Lay? Utz? You obviously either have an agenda or know absolutely nothing about the snack food industry in the United States. If it happens to be the latter, then perhaps you should do a bit of research before making careless article deletion proposals. Golden Flake is distributed over 12 American states and has long been the most popular brand of snack foods manufactured in the American South. Regardless of your intentions, your deletion proposal will not go forward without significant opposition, I assure you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mwhit42 (talkcontribs) 09:51, 1 January 2014

Please calm down[edit]

I know you are probably frustrated when an editor proposes that an article you care about should be deleted, but calling the idea of deleting the article idiotic (whether it is nor not) as you did in one of your recent edits, is probably not the best way to participate in a collaborative project like Wikipedia. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:10, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Response[edit]

Yeah you're probably right. Looking back on it I think "idiotic" may have been a bit harsh, perhaps "misguided" would have been a more appropriate word to use. Mwhit42 (talk) 06:55, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Even better, just say "Removed deletion proposal ...". davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 07:45, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Tiger bowl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Update on Mobile population[edit]

Hello, I see you added the recent enlargement of Mobile, however this will have to wait until the next census otherwise the entire table would be messed up (unless we have exact area and population figures from the US Census, which might happen, they do release amendments to the official census). Does it take any people away from any other municipality for example? I can move your information to a note though in the meantime. Would that work? Mattximus (talk) 20:15, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
