September 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm NeilN. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Neil deGrasse Tyson, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Oops. Included a source but someone else removed the entire comment. Since someone else removed the comment with the source, I simply reverted the entire edit. Thanks. Mystic55 (talk) 21:37, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

3RR[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - Cwobeel (talk) 21:45, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So noted. I will simply add a comment when someone reverts said comment. And the article SHOULD be protected as long as the Federalist is launching holy war against Tyson. Mystic55 (talk) 21:50, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You just breached 3RR, so I suggest you undo your last edit otherwise you will likely be blocked. - Cwobeel (talk) 22:10, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, I agree with you. But I'd rather let our policies to be applied: there is no consensus for inclusion and none of it should be in the article. Let them froth at the mouth as much as they want. That is their MO, - Cwobeel (talk) 22:11, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm HAPPY to remove the comment but, correct me if I'm wrong 3RR applies to the SAME comment, I'm not reverting the same comment but a new one that adds the word CONSERVATIVE to the change made previous to me. I disagree that I'm in violation but I'm not going to push it if you insist that I am. Mystic55 (talk) 22:15, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Irony alert[edit]

Did the irony escape you? After agreeing that you were engaging in WP:BATTLE, you deliberating said "And let me add something else" and continued? Astounding. I struck my comment. You can decide what to do with yours.--S Philbrick(Talk) 13:44, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agreed to no such thing. Just because that's how you interpret it doesn't mean much at all. I didn't exceed 3RR if they were totally different edits. Mystic55 (talk) 16:19, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
