Tubists or tuba players?

Removed cfdnotice, cfd has completed. --Kbdank71 16:37, 9 May 2008 (UTC) In fact, the discussion covers whether the main category and all of its sub-categories should be Category:Tubaists, Category:Tubists or Category:Tuba players, and so on. Please take any views you have to the discussion page there.
I think that people that know what they are talking about should comment, because there are things being written like, "'tubists' seems clearly incorrect ... to judge by the ... comments."
In the absence of knowledgeable discussion, an outcome based on ignorance can result.
I'm not getting the impression that most of the participants are serious tubists. -- Rico 04:18, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

WP:ADOPT input

Hello, NDCompuGeek. The Adopt-a-User program is looking for new ideas and input on the program. If you are still interested please stop by the talk page and read some of the ideas being floated and give a comment. If you want to update or change your information on the adopter's list page, now would be a great time! Thanks! V60 干什么? · VDemolitions 03:47, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

I noticed that you created the USAF Administrative Organization main article, and I was wondering if you could help reduce the size of this section, as it doesn't seem to have been trimmed at all since you added the "main" template. johnpseudo 19:17, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I can do that! I have a question for you though - there is an article devoted solely to the organization of the US Air Force (Organizational structure and hierarchy of the United States Air Force). Should I go for less content in the USAF article, relying on the content in the Org. of the USAF article, or try for a balanced approach, or what? (Serious question, BTW....) I'm wide open to suggestions!! - NDCompuGeek 19:32, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
The USAF article definitely needs to be trimmed. If there is useful information in USAF, I would suggest bringing it into the Org. main article- otherwise I would just cut it. Are there any major conflicts between the two? johnpseudo 19:39, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Not that I know of, but I'll need to copyedit and make sure of the information. I'm currently working on some of the "On This Day" information for the USAF portal (Portal:United States Air Force/otd), so if you can wait a few, I'll make sure to get to it TODAY in just a bit... - NDCompuGeek 22:30, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Senior Senator

Hey. I do not know you, but i see you are a member of North Dakota Wikiproject. Please, could you answer my question. I would like to point out that in 1992, Kent Conrad retired, and Byron Dorgan won. Dorgan is still in the Senate. And then Conrad ran and won a few years later. Wouldn't this make Dorgan senior senator from North Dakota??

Thanks,

re: An idea to contemplate, please

你好 - Erica, I'm in the process of creating a boilerplate text for inviting others to WP:MUSINST. I'm not sure if it's appropriate, in good "wiki-form", or even allowed.... What are your thoughts about it? (The work-in-progress invite is here). Thanks! - NDCompuGeek 12:31, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

When I created the figure skating project, I made this invitation. If I saw that a user editing figure skating articles a lot, I would drop them that template. I recommend you keep these things short and to the point, and don't use them a lot--just when you're pretty sure the user is interested in the subject matter and not just wiki-gnoming.
