The article was deleted because there are no reliable sources to establish correct definition of the phenomenon. It is used in many blogs and chats, but there appears no scholarly texts which summarize the meaning and usage of the term. Wikipedia does not accept blogs as sources. I was not much involved, though I do remember showing up in response to an RFC. I seem to remember not thinking the article not worth keeping in its own right, but I am a bit nonplussed at its being removed with no more trace than this. Where did it get removed TO? I should have thought that NaK-Pump has a point and that the article title should have been retained as a redir at least. Did I miss something? That's what "delete" means; some sort of administrator could likely retrieve an archive, but not regular users. The two most recent AfD decisions were adamant that the term be completely removed rather than redirected. NaK, I've seen no rules on creating Talk pages for non-existing articles, but I'm pretty sure explaining the term here would be frowned upon, if that's what you mean. You cannot redirect: there are just not enough reliable sources to figure out what is this all about. The BMP resembles many things, and in order to put a redirect somewhere you must have the term BMP used in the corresponding article. But then, you have to establish a connection with this other topic (again, using WP:RS), so here we go. Staszek Lem (talk) 17:11, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
