Language standards[edit]

Hello, please do not change links pointing to the Malaysian language to the more generic Malay, as the Malay language article covers a different concept. The first refers to a specific standard language, which is the one that is maintained by the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. The second refers to the much broader language, and includes other varieties such as Indonesian and Cocos Malay. Thanks, CMD (talk) 14:14, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

the term Bahasa Malaysia less used mostly used the term Malay language. streaming applications like Disney+ use Malay language and not Malaysian.KPM also using Malay not malaysian Nazran225 (talk) 09:10, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is covered in the article body. However, we have an article at Malay language which is not the topic being referred to, so we should not confuse the two per WP:EGG.CMD (talk) 03:56, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. October 2021[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. CMD (talk) 15:36, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please as mentioned above bring proposed edits and sources to relevant article talkpages, so they can be assessed. Please also use edit summaries in your edits, so that others can understand their intention. CMD (talk) 15:40, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring about the Malaysian language[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

The full report is at the edit warring noticeboard. Let me know if you have any questions. EdJohnston (talk) 15:21, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nazran225. It looks like you are continuing the prior edit war, per the new complaint on my talk page. You are risking an indefinite block. EdJohnston (talk) 19:15, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Continued edit warring about Malaysian languages, no response to the complaints[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Edit warring.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Nazran225, you were blocked 48 hours back in October for edit warring about the languages of Malaysia, as the result of a complaint at WP:AN3. (This is all documented higher up on this page). After your block expired, you returned to the issue and made more reverts. User:Chipmunkdavis posted a complaint about you on my talk page, and I left you a further warning. You made no response at all to this block or any of the warnings, so I'm going ahead with an indefinite block of your account. If you want to resume editing Wikipedia you'll have to convince us that you are willing to follow Wikipedia policies and will wait for consensus on disputed matters. EdJohnston (talk) 05:46, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I from Malaysia. And "Bahasa Malaysia" is not officially in Malaysia. Official language in Malaysia is "Malay"(Bahasa Melayu) not "Malaysian" (Bahasa Malaysia). So please don't make Malaysian because that not officially language in Malaysia Nazran225 (talk) 06:16, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
See WP:OFFICIAL for why that's not a convincing argument here. In any case, you have to be willing to compromise with others. If you are sure you already know the answer and don't care what anyone else thinks, then you probably don't belong here. Articles are built through consensus. Request reason:

I made true information about my country Malaysia & I don't vandalisme

Decline reason:

The stated reason for the block is edit warring, but you do not address this in your request. 331dot (talk) 08:15, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
