Randy Bachman[edit]

Hello, I reverted your recent edit to Randy Bachman that added Bachman's remark about Canadians speaking French. You went to the trouble of explaining why you added it so I am letting you know why I reverted it. Personal opinions by article subjects (in this case Bachman) generally don't matter and aren't notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia unless the opinion is about the thing they are notable for (in this case music) or their remark is a part of a pattern that causes some notable widespread controversy, neither of which appear to be the case here. Bachman's view is not new or unique. In addition to quoting this non-notable remark, you inserted your own opinion, which is also inappropriate for inclusion in Wikipedia. Your opinion was "Coming from someone who actually wrote a song entitled 'Can We All Come Together'... it's saying something and thinking something else."; perhaps Bachman was thinking that if all his fellow Canadians spoke English they would communicate better and all come together as a result :) --hulmem (talk) 09:09, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
