Sorry. I don't want it to get merged with Noonmati. Noonmati is a larger one under which we have Pub Jyotinagar, Jayanta Nagar ,Ganesh Nagar etc, I am a resident of Pub Jyotinagar. It has many distinguished features which can prove to be a Separate article on Wikipedia. I believe that the confirmation of the existence of a Locality would be better If it comes from one who resides there physically. If I am asked to show the detailed pictures of the Byelanes and the Chowk I am ready. But it is difficult to find online repository of details of Locality since our city is a developing one. Our city's growth is steady but slow. If this article is deleted My contributions to create a online repository would also decline. I request you to kindly share your views and also the prerequisites to declare a place a Locality virtually!!

Pub Jyotinagar and Noonmati[edit]

Hi Nikish21. I came here from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pub Jyotinagar where I saw that you have created a new article Pub Jyotinagar and also added a nice photo. Do you have any references for the information, like news articles, or books? I tried but I wasn't able to find any (in English or Hindi) and I don't know Assamese. Another suggestion: As Pub Jyotinagar is a locality of Noonmati, you can add the information over there in a new section.--DreamLinker (talk) 07:42, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes for your reference I have added a link in the reference which will redirect you to Guwahati Municipal Corporation which is responsible is recognition and maintenance of area of my city. As mentioned in the article if you download the ward no 23 map there it is clearly mentioned Pub Jyotinagar is a Locality which is not unremarkable and it is well regognized. I am new to Wikipedia will be happy If i am guided and would happily give more info if required!

Hi Nikish21. I also don't know a lot about the rules, but I am gradually beginning to understand the concept of notability of places. In general for any article, it should have multiple sources and these sources should have significant coverage as per WP:GNG. They should mention a bit about the topic so that it is possible to write an article. However, if the place is quite small and there are not enough sources, then it should be covered in the larger locality or township it is part of. Is Pub Jyotinagar part of Noonmati? It seems the post office says it is part of Noonmati. In that case maybe it would be easier to mention it in the Noonmati article.
