Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Dehli, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Page blanking[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Dehli. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

Don't remove extensive, sourced material. Go read the welcome and the WP:pillars and settle in as a productive editor. --Alatari (talk) 08:10, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I happened to see your message at User talk:Alatari. It's possible that you didn't realise that your edit removed so much - you can review your second edit at Delhi using this link. Since the editing window is so small, it's not unusual for a new editor to delete text without meaning to. It's no big deal, as mistakes like this can be repaired easily. -- John of Reading (talk) 16:08, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this 'दिल्ली' Dehli in Hindi and 'دلّی' in Urdu? Are you trying to say people write 'दिल्ली دلّی' in both scripts when they refer to Old Dehli? I can't find that usage in an online search. The montage is from New Dehli now if Dehli doesn't contain those buildings then the montage should be removed. --Alatari (talk) 21:15, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to add that 'दिल्ली' is Hindi; 'ਦਿੱਲੀ' is Punjabi and 'دلّ' is Urdu then that's fine but have to be clear to English readers that don;t understand these languages that people don't go around calling the city 'दिल्ली ਦਿੱਲੀ دلّ' all at once. Something like 'दिल्ली / ਦਿੱਲੀ / دلّ' Like they would write on the street signs. --Alatari (talk) 21:19, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dehli[edit]

So are the changes I made what you were after? Get on the talk page and tell the montage creators their mistakes in the buildings. --Alatari (talk) 22:19, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
