Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as you did to Llanfaredd Halt railway station. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 17:54, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've redirected the page you created, Welsh lovespoons, to our existing article on the subject at Love spoon. If there was any information in the article you created that you think should be merged into the existing article, you can see your version in the history by clicking the link, then clicking the "Redirected from Welsh lovespoons" link on the Love spoon page, then clicking on the history tab at the top of the page. If you have any questions about this, or anything else, just reply here and I'll be happy to help. Pinball22 (talk) 18:18, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Deri Pub Rhiwbina[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Deri Pub Rhiwbina, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Newbridge on Wye railway station[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Newbridge on Wye railway station, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Almost no content, no sources, no indicator of notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ipatrol (talk) 19:28, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Newbridge on Wye railway station, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Newbridge on Wye railway station. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ipatrol (talk) 18:48, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article JOHN FRANNIS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable playwright, no sources proving the claims in the article. The subject fails the notability criteria.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: JOHN FRANNIS. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:14, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! You recently added a large section to this page with many references to "sanquefoils". Did you mean "cinquefoils"? The section will need to be completely rewritten to conform to Wikipedia's guidelines as it is almost verbatim from the Welsh Tartan Centre's Facebook page. It is also not of an encyclopaedic quality. Try to find the same information in a reputable source of Welsh history, or failing that, newspaper that you can cite. Nomination of The Cruel Streets Revisited for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Cruel Streets Revisited is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Cruel Streets Revisited until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 11:59, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nofydd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:43, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Nofydd, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. • This reads like a promotional copy for an author's book dust jacket and I'm also concerned that this might have been previously published elsewhere because of that - which would make it copyvio unless you were to release the rights to the content to Wikipedia. However even besides that, the content is just too promotional - you can have some info about yourself on your talk page but it should largely or solely pertain to your editing on Wikipedia.
