Re: M203 Uses[edit]

I don't really have a problem with it. On the plus side, it might help to extinguish the Hollywood myth that you can blow tanks and helicopters to pieces with it. Spartan198 (talk) 09:23, 28 October 2008 (UTC) Spartan198[reply]

I think a couple pics of the HEDP and CS rounds would be a good additions, as the article doesn't really have any visual reference for what a 40mm grenade looks like. Everything else you added looks good, except the phrase "producing casualties", I think, would be preferable over "killing groups of enemies", as the latter (while still technically true) doesn't sound very encyclopedic. Also, the casualty radius of explosive rounds should be noted, too (unless it already is and I've missed it). What is it, kills within five meters and wounds within fifteen? And isn't there an airburst round, too? Spartan198 (talk) 13:33, 3 November 2008 (UTC) Spartan198[reply]

A Google search brought up two websites listing airbursting grenade types, the M397 and M397A1 ~

[1] [2]

The first one looks legit to me and the second one not-so but it backs up what the first one says. Spartan198 (talk) 03:11, 5 November 2008 (UTC) Spartan198[reply]

RE: Touche[edit]

Heh, no problem. If you're thinking of adding in any holocaust deniers you might want to consult people on the talk page first, it's a heavily guarded list (since, unrestricted, it would get really really sodding long). Ironholds 11:13, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Madden Curse[edit]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles . Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you.

You insult other users over the internet, and yet you believe that I am the one with no life? Amd by the way, take my advise and read Talk:Madden Curse, in which the issue is properly explained. Furthermore, the claim you made was synthetic, you are using a fact to make up another claim all together - which if you had taken the time, and read the Madden Curse discussion merger, you would have known. The section is not supposed to force any claim whatsoever, including the existence of the Madden Curse, but rather state information given from reliable sources. (WP:V)

And by the way, I did not rip the picture off from another user, my name change is explained on my page - Obviously, if it took you two minutes to get through the first two paragraphs, I'm sure you know how to spend your properly. ;) --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  15:52, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead and report me. I mind you, this issue has already been addressed and reached a consensus that reflects Wikipedia's policies. I have also and provided you with the the specific policies that you are violating. Please read them in the previous response. Furthermore, while the fact Young suffered an injury is a legitimate fact, it should not be mentioned in that article. McNabb, Vick, and Alexander have also experienced problems in their career after appearing... however, section itself only specifies the effects of the alleged curse in the subsequent season, not remainder of their career. This should have been covered on Talk:Madden Curse, specifically the aforementioned topic. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  05:59, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the editors that reviewed the Madden Curse article insisted placing a limit on the amount of 'examples' stated within the the article in order to comply with WP:SYN and WP:NPOV. The the initial draft of the section, I had suggested adding information about Young's 2008 injury, but the the other editors suggested removing the content to comply with WP's policies. Ignore the latest edit summary I left, If you wish to edit the article again, --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  06:04, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've declined your report of StarScream to WP:AIV. Please do not report content disputes or similar to AIV, which is solely for clear-cut cases of blatant vandalism. And in any case, StarScream is roughly in the right here, and any further edit warring with him may lead to extended blocks for disruptive editing and violating WP:3RR. sephiroth bcr (converse) 07:12, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And if you're going to continue refactor my comments, then I will block you. Having civil discourse is really the only way you're going to get anything done here, and I'd recommend you start doing so. sephiroth bcr (converse) 07:20, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You based this edit on false consensus from a discussion that was never resolved nor reflected any specific rules on Wikipedia - Wikipedia is not a democracy. The resolution we reached with the other editors in the merger was a consensus that stated most of the article failed WP:SYN, WP:N, WP:NPOV - a proper consensus that reflects Wikipedia's policies as opposed to mob rule. Please take time to read them. PS, I have never called you any specific names, though, if you continue to make any more personal attacks to me, you will probably be banned, as Sephiroth BCR has warned you. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  16:24, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unless you can find a way to validate your argument over WP:SYN, WP:NPOV, and WP:V, we have little to discuss. This argument is not about our personal opinions, but rather this encyclopedia's policies. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  16:32, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
