Loon Lake (California)[edit]
If you want to expand the Loon Lake (California) article, you might want to take a look at what good articles about lakes look like. Wikipedia:WikiProject Lakes has an assessment table on their page that helps you to find good articles in that topic area. For example, you can look at Featured Articles about lakes (these are the best of the best; you don't have to bring the Look Lake article up to that level, but they may still be useful to get a sense of sections to create and they style of writing). Good Articles are the next best, then B Class and C Class. Just pick a few from these lists, take a look at how they're structured, and then see what sort of sources you can find for your article. Feedback[edit]
I was looking at the draft you posted on the Look Lake talk page and while most of it looks good, I had a few thing I thought you should address. The first is that your draft doesn't include inline references. Use the cite tool on the visual editor (which unfortunately isn't available on talk pages) to insert the references.
My other concern is about the information on the campground. Wikipedia articles aren't supposed to be promotional, and they aren't supposed to speak to the reader directly. Things like driving tips don't belong there and "tips before visiting" aren't the sort of factual information you'd find in an encyclopaedia. They also aren't the sort of information you'd want people getting from Wikipedia - if, say, the checkout time at the campground changes, that information isn't necessarily going to be updated here. Since there's no way to ensure that information like that is up to date, it's much better not to include it. That way, someone planning to visit the site will be forced to visit the campground's website (which should, of course, be linked from the article). Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:29, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
