That was perhaps a good idea. Except of course not as immediate (i.e., the "you've got mail" message doesn't pop if we converse here. But that ok with me if it is with you.

Ok. I just listened to Osterode. It's not quite there yet. The beginning "o" in Osterode is really just like the second "o". Should sound something like an English "ooooohhh, I get it!" Long and closed. Ostpreußen, perhaps this helps: People from Ostpreußen used to pronounce it almost like and "A" (between the word Ast and Ost) and it's short.
