Andrew, thanks for the welcome! As well as the interests mentioned on my newly-added User page, I'm also a very amateur student of geology. Our homeland is basically on top of the northern Cascadia subduction zone, and the local geology is an interesting mish-mash resulting from millions of years of accretion against the North America plate, along with lots of "post accretionary" rock and glacial workings. I'm also fascinated by the Missoula Floods and similar events. (This summer I finally got to see the Dry Falls in the Lower Grand Coulee, on the way to a vacation in North Dakota.)
I gave your ATVIS manual a quick read-through. If I have time I'll look into it further and might even try constructing a system derived from it. (If I do, I'll certainly send you all the details.) Ontist (talk) 05:12, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
