Advertising articles[edit]

A tag has been placed on Findamob.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 14:43, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reposting inappropriate content[edit]

Please do not violate Wikipedia policy by introducing inappropriate pages, such as Easymob.co.uk to Wikipedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 15:23, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy tag removal[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Easymob.co.uk. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 15:24, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Further spamming[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Findamob. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. andy 15:32, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your question[edit]

Quite realistically, Wikipedia is not for posting your company's "history" unless the company is notable. Even then, we very strongly discourage people from writing about themselves, their employer, or their company, due to very likely conflicts of interest-it is very difficult to maintain a neutral viewpoint when writing about a subject one is close to. If the company becomes notable, someone will eventually write an article on it-but quite realistically, the articles already written are mostly or all advertising. If the company/website has had a good deal of coverage in reliable sources which are not affiliated with it (for example, newspapers, magazines, or reputable independent websites), it would be suitable for an article. If it hasn't received that coverage yet, it's probably not suitable for an article here. Is there any such coverage available? I've seen enough[edit]

It's obvious that this account is used only for advertising (and arguing semantics about what constitutes advertising) so I have blocked you indefinitely. Persistent spammers will have their sites added to our blacklist, where bots will automatically remove any reference to the site added in the future. Request reason:

Why have you blocked me?

I was having an adult discustion with Seraphimblade about the concerns he had and i clearly stated i was willing to edit or remove the articals he had a problem with. What gives Kafziel the right to come into the matter and just block me without fully understanding the situation and making no attempt at all to solve the problem with myself as i clearly stated i was willing to cooperate with Seraphimblade.

Do you not grasp the concept of a 'discussion'. Only children are told they are 'arguing' when they refuse to accept what is being asked of them. We were having a conversation that Seraphimblade fully had under control. I now can not reply to Seraphimblade and feel guilty because i understood his position and i am new to Wiki and he was making me aware of the rules. If Seraphimblade had blocked me i would have understood but Kafziel had no idea of the situation and it clearly states on his talk page he spends his days looking for people to block (he even says he looks for the ones that start with his first initial first). This administrator is clearly irresponsible and needs to be removed. Please re instate me and let me reply to Seraphimblade and explain to him that his statement "If the the company/website has had a good deal of coverage in reliable sources which are not affiliated with it (for example, newspapers, magazines, or reputable independent websites), it would be suitable for an article." i could tell him that it has had and featured in page 3 or 'the wharf' which is a free paper that goes out in th city of London to 35,000 people and i could fax him the artical which i would simply copy onto a new wiki page word for word that way it would be a independant review and there would be no conflict of interest.

Decline reason:

From your email to me:

This is obviously you life and it means so much to you. You can control or gain respect in the real world so you spend EVERY DAY on Wiki to feel like you are important. Ever heard of the word geek? That is what you have become, one of the worst i have come across. I would guess that you havent been with a woman for a very long time (real women that is not porn).

Flattery will get you nowhere. The block stays.

By the way, if you'd like to reply to Seraphimblade, you can do so right here on this talk page. You will be free to edit it as long as you don't abuse it. -- Kafziel Talk 13:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
