Hello, once again you seem to be removing my latest entries which are true facts again, with references according to you under the name of self promotion. Though you are happy to agree on the placing of large paragraphs in the Controversy section . Why is this the removal of my latest entries are fact but you keep the controversy entries that maybe fact or maybe incorrect ?? Double standards Peoplegivein. The question is are you a truly independent, non biased editor, have you got a conflict of interest  ?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ShutupAndGetOnWithIt (talkcontribs) 13:42, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the spelling of Whitechapel but why have you removed the paragraph for that sentence ? It looks like to me its ok to paragraph the controversies section !!! anything positive gets 'diluted'. Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by WeakUK (talkcontribs) 18:53, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reaching out. You should raise this issue on the talk page so that the other editors can weigh in. However, Wikipedia pages are not meant to read as lists. It doesn't seem right to break up each sentence in the Covid-19 section as you are not starting a new topic. The subheading makes it clear. You also have just 3 sentences! Further, there are neutrality concerns. Questionable and self-published sources is relevant here. The Charity section is disadvantaged by the overly promotional sources, which include a press release. So, from this perspective, breaking up each sentence risks giving undue weight to self-published or sponsored content. Peoplegivein (talk) 20:16, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Peoplegivein. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page John Christodoulou, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Edwardx (talk) 17:50, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for contacting me. I appreciate that while I am a new member, my editing history will be subjected to scrutiny by long-term editors. I also understand that you are suggesting I may have a conflict of interest. I would like to put on record that I do not. Christodoulou is not a family member, friend or colleague. Nor is he a competitor. I do not work for him. I do not work in his industry. I do not have a relationship with him. I am not being paid for any of my edits. I read newspapers enthusiastically and Christodoulou is a high-profile freeholder who has been in the press recently. I want to contribute to Wikipedia to the best of my abilities and learn from other people on here. I am only using reliable sources, in line with Wikipedia: Biographies of living persons and Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Further, this is not a single-purpose account. I intend to edit across a number of issues on here, but I'm still learning. I note that you have been around a long time. Do you have any tips for me? Cheers. Disambiguation link notification for December 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Marriott Canary Wharf, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Champions League. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
