An Automated Message from HagermanBot[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 06:59, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning
Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in AutoNation. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. -- Satori Son 07:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edits on AutoNation[edit]

(copied from User_talk:Jkatzen) So why do you keep removing valid news articles in relation to a companies wiki page? Since when does getting sued by the federal government not newsworthy? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pgurlygirl (talkcontribs) 06:59, 26 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I removed them because your discussion of controversies was growing so large it was dominating the page, and I assure you the most important things about the company (what most people will want to learn about) are not its controversies. I have now created a subsection for such discussion under a new history section. If you'd like to discuss them briefly there, I think they could be appropriate. But please remember the length of the controversies discussion should reflect overall notability. Jkatzen 07:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to discuss changes to the AutoNation page, please do so on its discussion page, not in the article itself. Also, before adding any more controversial information, please discuss it on that talk/discussion page to try to build consensus first. Jkatzen 08:39, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit summary indicated the following: "Cannot find where the group cites these as concerns, however I am part of the legal team and added this information which I felt wa of merit to this page." I'm not a lawyer (though a law student), and you should be aware that speaking to the media during a trial is sometimes grounds for sanctions under professional responsibility. As I can't give advice, you should check with the lawyers on your team before adding anything more to make sure they are not personally risking liability for your actions.
