Ban[edit]

Hello. Why have I been banned?? If uncited material is added or is poorly cited you are allowed to remove it, yes? I would think I would get a warning first? PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 20:39, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that you were blocked according to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jonas Poole. Rlendog (talk) 21:00, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. How would I go about appealing this? PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 21:14, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I just tried to comment in the section for the "accused" and it won't let me. How am I supposed to defend myself? How are they allowed to even do this? It doesn't even say how I've been associated with these other accounts?? PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 21:30, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I believe my edits for removing much of Gamera's uncited material were justified and I wish to be unblocked please.

Decline reason:

You need to address the reason of your block first, and do so from your original account. See WP:SOCKPUPPETRY. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:46, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This is my original account. Again, how am I supposed to appeal this block if I can't even comment on the page in question?? PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 22:01, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You do understand that we have this thing called "checkuser" that can detect when multiple accounts are originating from the same IP address/browser, etc., right? OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:18, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. And I edit from my local library. What does that prove? PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 22:24, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Either there are a number of people at your library that are obsessed with whales, or WP:DUCK. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:26, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there must be quite a community of people who like whales there. Oh, and most ducks don't quack, fyi. :) PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 22:30, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Obvious duck is obvious. While your edits from this account aren't problematic per se, the fact that you've created multiple accounts for different purposes, and then deny doing so, is not going to build you a good unblock argument. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:32, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
But, sir (maam?), this is the only account I've ever created. I swear on a wood duck (yes, I like ducks too). PhysalusAntiquorum (talk) 22:33, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
