Replaceable fair use File:Gisèle Lagacé au Comiccon de Montréal 2019.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Gisèle Lagacé au Comiccon de Montréal 2019.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

Reddit[edit]

Reddit is a self published source. Per WP:USINGSPS, specifically the section "Identifying self-published sources", "Identifying a self-published source is usually straightforward. You need two pieces of information: 1: Who is the author or creator of the work? 2: Who is the publisher of the work? If the answers to these questions are the same, then the work is self-published." The author is the director, the publisher is the director, meaning it qualifies as self-published. Additionally, Reddit falls under user generated content which isn't an acceptable source per WP:UGC. That policy specifically even names Reddit. So because of those policies, Reddit should not be used as a source. @Rockchalk717: ...You do understand that those are literally the directors of Scream (2022)? Along with the rest of Radio Silence? Regardless of whether you deem it an acceptable source, they are the ones speaking; if this Q&A had been hosted on any other website (such as Twitter), we would not be having this conversation, but the information would still be the same, and when this information is eventually re-added with another reference, that reference would be an article referring to the AMA. The website is irrelevant; AMAs are Q&As, and therefore reliable sources. Poindextero (talk) 22:27, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You do understand that it that doesn't matter? That's the point you don't seem to grasp. The website does 100% matter. And a source referencing Reddit as their source wouldn't qualify either as republished sources from unreliable sources do not qualify as a reliable source, so don't attempt to find a source that references that from Reddit. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also.
