Still doesn't appear notable per WP:POLITICIAN. Merely being a candidate in an election doesn't merit encyclopedic coverage. Nothing from the article makes me think that the subject is otherwise WP:notable. Being briefly mentioned by the New York Observer in an unrelated article and then again in a campaign announcement are not significant coverage. Please read the associated policies I've linked above.
