March 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Redraiderengineer (talk) 00:33, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry for forgetting —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 00:39, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You've made more than 10 edits without an edit summary in the roughly 30 minutes since this reply.
Edit summaries help other editors and are part of the consensus policy on explaining edits. Redraiderengineer (talk) 01:14, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Why have you been using the edit summary Page complete see Ruby Hall Clinic for history and attribution on several pages that appear to be unrelated to that clinic? signed, Rosguill talk 16:43, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is page attribution tendency, this is a foolish thing to enquire. I am following Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia saying to claim copying within wikipedia by "copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution".
Oh I see! My bad the page is Ruby Hall Clinic metro station since I was editing using template for a long time that only used the word "Ruby Hall Clinic", instead of "Ruby Hall Clinic", my mind got synced and I claimed copying from clinic instead of Metro station. Apologies for that. Just doing a dummy edit to link metro station. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 16:53, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Btw @Rosguill mate, can I add that wikipedia notability guideline on all other metro stations in Aqua Line (Pune Metro). All the stations except a few like Civil Court metro station are stub class ones as the three redirects whom I just converted into pages —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 16:57, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosguill what's the need of revert there's an official website cited in external links that is https://www.punemetrorail.org/station/yerawada/ —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 17:06, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:OSE, WP:GNG. Topics for which we can't identify sufficient significant coverage in independent sources are best presented to readers as part of their parent topics, as this allows for more context and allows us to ensure that our article corresponds to due weight across reliable sources. signed, Rosguill talk 17:10, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Anyways just see once i have added independent sources. If still not ok, revert it and i will try again either directly or make a quality article via draft for that station. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 17:14, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Flood of WP:PROD nominations[edit]

You seem to have interpreted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Angad Pratap to mean that no article about an astronaut or cosmonaut who did not go to space is notable, and that is not correct. First off, you're equating the deletion discussion about a new article about a living person who has been selected for a future spaceflight to articles about historical individuals. Second, your nominations fail to take into account that their notability may not rest solely on the xnaut claim. These nominations appear to have been made to make a point. I suggest that you review the nominations that you made, examining the notability claims and sources in each article, and remove your nominations from articles about notable individuals. Schazjmd (talk) 16:41, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am nominating all and watching who are eligible to be kept as they are. Many might be stubs. So it will be cleared out who "may not rest solely on the xnaut claim." I wont remove article deletion discussions will happen and after that deletion tags will be removed. I don't weigh how my two pages, Aleksandr Gorbunov (made using drafting) was allowed but Angad Pratap (someone added a line and then I started adding what I knew on topic) isn't allowed. Both belong to same category and made at the same time, that is after mission announcement Gorbunov possibly in SpaceX Crew-9 and pratap in Gaganyaan crewed/Axiom 4. Gorbunov if fails test will be removed from crew 9 and his backup will take his spot. This situation just happened in soyuz ms-25 backup/soyuz ms-26 prime crew. Someone called Oleg Plantov failed tests and his backup Ivan Vagner replaced him. Deletion is never a solution, draftspace exists. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 16:53, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are no deletion discussions for a WP:PROD nomination, only for an WP:AFD. Since you're admitting that you did not evaluate these articles per WP:PRODNOM but instead based them solely on the criteria of a single AFD and are refusing to reevaluate them properly, I will remove every prod you made. If you still believe that these articles are non-notable, you will have to use the WP:AFD process. Schazjmd (talk) 17:00, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging active admins Hey man im josh & Bishonen requesting for a roll back of the PROD Noms made by RIP B1058. All the nominations fail WP:PRODNOM #1 and are not uncontroversial. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:57, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your prods have been reverted. If you believe any of these articles are genuinely not notable, you can nominate them at WP:AFD for discussion. If you do so, I suggest that you carefully read WP:BEFORE and follow those steps first. Schazjmd (talk) 17:19, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Schazjmd didn't feel to tag you but while I am preparing to nominate articles at Afd, this question I asked in this discussions first reply from my side remains unanswered —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 17:21, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see a question from you in this discussion. What is your question? Schazjmd (talk) 17:23, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Read nicely "how my two pages, Aleksandr Gorbunov (made using drafting) was allowed but Angad Pratap (someone added a line and then I started adding what I knew on topic) isn't allowed." I stated reason for my claim —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 17:25, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That isn't a question. Have you read WP:BLP1E? (By the way, that is a question.) WP:BLP1E appears to be the grounds on which the editors in the discussion on Pratap based their recommendations. Nobody has challenged the Gorbunov article, so it hasn't had that discussion. Schazjmd (talk) 17:30, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Both are WP:BLP1E. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 17:32, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you can certainly nominate Gorbunov for AFD based on that reasoning. Schazjmd (talk) 17:34, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We create cosmonaut biographies from russian/italian/espanol/Portuguese/francian Wikipedia translations that uses refs from russian state free sources releasing biographies on the eve of selection into Roscosmos cosmonaut corps. Even the taikonaut biographies or i mean all non us recent 2020s astronauts follow the same way of publishing and subsequently articles come for mission announcements, controversies like one year long mission, movie crew, soyuz spacecraft issues, lengthen the articles and get their form. But for initial 6 months they stay bare like Gorbunov.
Also why would i nominate it for Afd, when i created it and draft reviewers approved it from the reverse of Afd that is Afc. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 17:40, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're obviously unhappy with the results of the AFD for the Pratap article, but that does not justify disrupting Wikipedia. Schazjmd (talk) 18:09, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ya i kinda unhappy but i am deriving conclusions for other flawy articles like yhat on Wikipedia. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 18:11, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please read and understand WP:NOTSTATS[edit]

I was just glancing at your edit history and a tremendous number of your edits is just adding random statistics to spaceflight pages. Please understand the WP:NOTSTATS section and also WP:TRIVIA. You seem to really like adding lots of these types of things to articles and updating them but that's not really the purpose of Wikipedia. You need to make sure anything you add is actually important and notable. Ergzay (talk) 16:42, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I remember I just forgot to add ref to my recent addition to List of spaceflight records are there more please show@Ergzay —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 01:40, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regularly updated is astronaut lists, spacecraft lists, a non-others updated booster timeline graph, a second stage configurations graph, Expedition pages. Rest i dont remember —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 01:57, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Revert[edit]

@Ergzay hi you reverted my removal. Actually the reason is that template doesnt work for terminus and interchange stations so i needed to remove it. no one uses and i need the colouring of infobox header as blue, green, etc. So i am addig it to all metro stations and manualling writing like "Kolkata metro interchange". Pleaee undo your revert as i dont want two-revert rule template edit ban. —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 10:03, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@RIP B1058 Don't discuss this type of thing on people's talk pages. Discuss it over on the talk page of the article. I had already started a discussion and pinged you. Ergzay (talk) 10:07, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please edit your signature[edit]

Your signature is so big and distracting that it messes up the ability to read pages. Please remove the yellow "fog" around the lettering and remove the icons. It makes page reading really annoying. Ergzay (talk) 13:11, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

1)I saw you as the first person to call my signature distracting.
2)I have followed rules for signatures as listed WP:SIGIMAGE.
3) Lots of signatures exist and that too of prolific editors, find them on Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#RfC:_disallowing_new_signatures_obsolete_tags. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 13:21, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I mixed all ideas into one and used only one icon of RIP or tombstone. —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 13:22, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
More info on my signature at #Your signature —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 13:25, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're following WP:SIGIMAGE but not WP:SIGLENGTH. The wikimarkup of your signature, not including the timestamp is 276 characters. Especially you should be making sure that your signature does not "give undue prominence to a given user's contribution". Your signature is trying to make you stand out too much. If you really want to keep it do know that people will look at you badly for it as you're effectively shouting "Look at me!". Ergzay (talk) 13:35, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also not a single person has a signature as obnoxious on the page you linked. I've been on Wikipedia for close to 20 years and I've never seen a signature as obnoxious as yours. Ergzay (talk) 13:40, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
1)I am taking in a calm and composed manner, not shouting
2)WP:SIGLENGTH, I didn't knew
rest after chapter in signature —🪦VSVNB1058 (2020-2023) (TALK) 13:48, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also WP:SIGAPP: "Your signature must not blink, scroll, or otherwise cause inconvenience to or annoy other editors." (Bolding mine) Ergzay (talk) 13:50, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for adding on to this, but I feel the same way. Whenever you reply multiple times on a thread, it becomes really annoying to follow the entire conversation. I didn't want to tell you this earlier because I thought it was just me. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 14:09, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing item I saw. You're using {{transform-rotate|180}} template in your signature, which is a violation of WP:SIG#NoTemplates for all the reasons listed there (apparently it breaks talk page archiving). Ergzay (talk) 14:04, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Since these unanswered thoughts, suggestions and answers clog up, while I am changing preferences and researching for suitable alternatives:
1) most signatures if violate the signatures length is trimmed and preferences themselves have this markup length and we are automatically bound to follow them.
2) I never want to stand out, I just idolize martyred booster B1058 and I follow the self imposed rule, "First edit, then describe yourself (my user page)." If my signatures is bad, my recent user page edit was worst. But it was made for praying of B1061. Thus signature had similar motive.
3)no signature is obnoxious as i said grabbed other's ideas and amalgamated it to make my signature. I got fog or in more clear terms "text shadow" from, one of those users. Yes it's text shadow not fog.
3)NASAlization font is not available on wikipedia, I tried a 1000 times to implement it but failed and i want worm logo in my signature at any cost. Black worm logo exists as of rocket lab electron so no problem in changing. But I need a substitute of rotate by font or by span style allowed template and i am still searching it. —🪦VSVNB1058 (TALK) 15:29, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ergzay how's it followed a style from User relativity (don't want to tag him see at Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#RfC:_disallowing_new_signatures_obsolete_tags) —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 16:10, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's a lot better, though it's still very "loud". Also your link is broken. Ergzay (talk) 16:16, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will wok and decrease more —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 16:19, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I mean if you really want it you can keep it that way. You just need to realize how you're seen with that. It makes you really obvious. Ergzay (talk) 16:24, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Bro just tell which link is broken i can open both user and talk page links from signature. —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 16:28, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
1) As the documentation says, they're only trimmed if you don't use templates, which you were.
2) Having a large bright yellow signature (or bright yellow fog) makes you stand out. But having a loud busy user page is completely fine. User pages are supposed to be as colorful and wild as you like. I've seen some really crazy ones.
3) I've seen text shadow on people's signatures before, but it was more subtle rather than being very bright and standing out.
4) You can invert the text without using a template, if you have space for it using CSS, but you're not "NASA B1058" you're "RIP B1058", but anyway that's just a minor nitpick. Ergzay (talk) 16:22, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am RIP B1058 i tried to add nasa in my idbut looks like changing username isnt allowed. RIP is denoted by tombstone. I am searching a lighter shade of yellow —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 16:26, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I got lambda symbol as match and used instead of rotating —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 16:43, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks nicer, btw, just so you know, you can set any colors you want by just specifying the color hexcode like #1C8D6A. Ergzay (talk) 20:45, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ya but I chose to have any from yellow shade only as yellow/gold will signify to signify the martyred booster, this color is used by royals, fighters, etc. so used yellow —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 12:08, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@RIP B1058 I'd suggest adding some & nbsp; (remove the space) or use <span class="nowrap"> into your signature to prevent it from being broken in half in line breaks which makes it look strange when it wraps the page. Ergzay (talk) 12:04, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 12:27, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding train station wiki pages[edit]

One note, you should check out WP:NTRAINSTATION.

Train stations have no inherent notability and are not presumed notable for simply being train stations, but may be notable if they satisfy the WP:GNG criteria, the criteria of another subject-specific notability guideline, or other criteria within this notability guideline.

Every single station shouldn't be needing to have it's own page on wikipedia unless it's notable in some way, and importantly there's reliable sources that can be quoted regarding the station. Not saying you're violating this, but just something to watch out for. Ergzay (talk) 12:29, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didnt knew this but i want an article for every Kolkata metro thats why i keep them in drafts as current one Draft:VIP Bazar metro station, whenever I am free and the time is non spaceflight I simply add what is collected during the intervals and when I think it's ok I submit it for review and get it into draftspace. I tale enough time to make these pages. Worth noting is another notability guideline of trains, not to focus on primary sources too much like metro operator website and that article cited focus on station instead of line. —🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 12:51, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
