A personal welcome from Rob Church[edit]

Hello, Megaman-Zero. I'm Rob Church, and I'd like to welcome you to Wikipedia.

As a new user, you may well discover that Wikipedia has a lot of established policies and norms to be taken in. May I firstly recommend that you read and understand the policy trifecta, which sets our our three basic principles; keep a neutral tone, don't be a dick and ignore all rules.

Once you understand that, the rest is pretty easy. If you're new to wikis, or want to brush up on your knowledge, see our excellent tutorial for the beginner's guide to editing. Once you can edit, you might wish to refer to the manual of style to see how things are generally done on Wikipedia. For additional technical assistance, see the help pages.

One important thing to remember is to sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this by inserting four tildes (~~~~) into the markup when editing the page. This automatically inserts your signature, which is, by default, your name; and the date. To change your signature, go to your user preferences page.

I believe that people are our best asset on Wikipedia, and therefore I'd like to take the opportunity to offer you any help you will need in finding your feet. If you have any problems, questions or concerns about anything on Wikipedia, don't hesitate to ask me for help.

Once again, welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy your time with us. Rob Church Talk | FAHD 19:31, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Z-Saber[edit]

Ah, good point. I'd suggest something like a List of Megaman weapons, just like we have a List of Zelda rings. This is in the spirit of informativeness - people interested in one such weapon are likely interested in several, and the list would allow for easy comparison, and keeping the relevant info together. See also WP:FICT. Yours, Radiant_>|< 11:57, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Megaman.EXE TV Show[edit]

Yes, the TV show doesn't seem to be canon, especially when you consider that the games came first. Perhaps there should be just a small section detailing this.

I'm not sure if I have the time to work on the article personally, but I'll chip in whenever I can.

P.S. I've recently restructured the entire List_of_Mega_Man_Zero_characters. Would you mind having a look to see if it's okay?

SNK vs. Capcom Article[edit]

I'm not too well-versed in that game, so I wouldn't know what to add.

There are some minor changes, however, but they're so minor I think I'll make them myself.

Wolf ODonnell 20:23, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You know, SvC Chaos DID come out in the arcades, and even though the filename says "Kim vs. Kyo", it IS Mr. Karate vs. Kyo. STOP REVERTING THE DAMN PAGE. Danny Lilithborne 20:27, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • The only reason I revert the page is because you keep simplifying it- what's the point of taking out the tiers and the information located at the above..? We're an encyclopedia; we give as much information as possible, the tiers are there to describe the characters [game] ability and power usage as well as they're paticular niche in there. As for the Mr. Karate pic, yeah, that is incorrect, as well as the violent Ken trivia. But taking out all the other infirmation is pointless, those two mistakes are all that needed to be fixed.-MegamanZero
    • Tier information is classified as POV, which is something Wikipedia strives to avoid. And even so, the information you've put in is mostly wrong. Geese and Zero are the top tier characters in competitive play and everyone answers to them. You also insist on dropping the arcade release information for some reason. To suggest it did not come out in the arcade is outright falsity. In any case, objectivity is what is required here. Danny Lilithborne 20:37, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
      • Umm, Nope. You misunderstand my intent of tier information- I'm not playing favorites here. And I don't disagree that Zero and Geese are at the top of the game, but its obvious that Demetri and violent ken come quite close, as well as Orochi Iori. As for the Arcade info, you got me- I didn't deny that at all...you forget I'm not the only one who's been editing the page. Hopefully we can come to an agreement.-MegamanZero

        • Tier discussion is best left to websites that deal with that kind of stuff (ie. Shoryuken.com and SNK-Capcom.com); this is an encyclopedia and objectivity is best. Danny Lilithborne 21:02, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
          • True. But stating tier information from simply a gameplay standpoint is an important fact. Characters in this category (ie. Zero) are virtually machines of apoctolyptic destruction in this game, what with the collision detection, not to mention the poor game balance. An example of the tier listing I'm doing can be found on other video game pages, such as the Soul Calibur character pages for instance. Don't even get me started on Shin Akuma.... but I suppose that's irrelevant. The point is these characters have an extreme disadvantage, so much that less-skilled players need not put as much effort in to using them.-MegamanZero

You're so cool....[edit]

Mr. Zero, I really appreciate the articles you're working on. The edits to SVC Chaos were extremly helpful, and I look forward to the completion of your Silent Mobius article. Keep up the great work! --X-Buster 12:10 17 October 2005

This is what happens when one forgets to sign his name[edit]

Questions galore!!

User talk:84.169.239.104 (aka MegamanZero), who forgot to sign his name

As a (revatively) new recruit to the ranks of wikipedia, I have some questions about getting more involved in the community:

  • a) How do make a user talk page like this where people leave comments?
  • b) How do I get people to come to my talk page..?
  • c) What various "positions" can a guy like me get into?
  • d) Why are some articles marked "needs to conform to a higher quality?"
  • e) And why are the people who marked them don't explain WHY they need to be brought up to a higher standard..? (See MegaMan EXE article, you'll see what I mean)
  • d} How do I get awards (like barnestars, bicycles, etc.)
  • e) Do other High schoolers besides myself edit/write for wikipedia..?

-MegamanZero 7:22 25 October 2005

In order:

  • a: Everybody has one. Just click on "my talk" and there it is. You can edit your signature to point to it. In my signature under Special:Preferences I have:

Tony Sidaway]][[User talk:Tony Sidaway|Talk

And that gives the signature that you see. when I type --Red Maverick Hunter 06:29, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • b: See above, if you mean giving a people a way to visit the talk page by clicking on Talk
  • c: As an editor you can do just about anything on the wiki right now except be a formal mediator, an administrator or an arbitrator.

To be a mediator you need to develop mediation skills, learn how we work here, and apply to join the mediation committee. To be an administrator you needs to apply and to be able to convince your fellow editors that you can be entrusted with the extra powers (such as the ability to protect pages from editing, to block editors, and to delete pages). To be an arbitrator you need to be elected. Typically people do a lot of editing for three months before applying to be, or being nominated to be, an administrator.

You can edit any page. You can join in Recent changes patrol. You can participate in Featured article candidates, discussing which articles are suitable to be chosen for our front page. You can go to village pump and discuss technical and policy issues. You can join in Articles for deletion and discuss whether certain articles should be deleted or kept. Hundreds of other things. For other ideas, go to the Wikipedia:Community_Portal and look at the open tasks.

  • d: Editors give one another awards for doing cool things, such as writing a good article, being kind, helping to solve a problem, and so on. It's totally informal.
  • e: Many high schoolers do so. Even much younger children have been known to produce good work on Wikipedia. At high school level we have administrators and higher. One of our bureaucrats (a senior administrator who is entrusted with the power to make other people administrators) just turned fourteen recently. You won't know somebody's age unless they tell you, or give obvious clues such as referring to their school.

I'll copy this to your talk page, User_talk:84.169.239.104. If by any chance you also have a username, but forgot to log in before asking these questions, just click edit on the User_talk:84.169.239.104 page and copy the text there, then log in and go to your user talk page and paste the stuff there for future reference. --Tony SidawayTalk 10:43, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

When one forgets to sign his name[edit]

Remember when I asked that "questions galore" comment...? Well, apparently , No one believes I wrote it. In the comment (after you answered questions) there's a bike award for an anon (aka me). Anyway, the one who awarded it thinks I stole it, when its all just a misunderstanding. The problem simply arose because I forgot to sign my user name ( I fixed that), and I even verified I asked posted that comment later in the "questions weren't answered column. Anyway, that user thinks I'm a completly different person or a thief and I tried to clear it up, and he responed with a "beat it". I don't know what to do to prove my innocence. I suppose that's what happens when one forgets his username when posting a comment...

-MegamanZero 8:38 25 October 2005

Hi, it's okay. I knew it was you, and I verified this to Davenbelle so there should be no problems. Allow up to a day for him to read my comment and then you should be free to copy the bicycle. --Tony SidawayTalk 10:36, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I have officially transfered the Bicycle Award to your named account; sorry for the misunderstanding. Enjoy the ride. — Davenbelle 11:35, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom[edit]

Hi, I was on IRC just now and User:Danny Lilithborne mentioned that you kept reverting on this article.

On Wikipedia if you find that you're having a difference of opinion like this it's best to go to the talk page (Talk:SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom in this case) and just explain why you're doing the edits, and ask the other person to explain why he's doing is. Then you can both discuss and arrive at a version you can both agree to. If you need more help on this, please ask me. --Tony SidawayTalk 20:52, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

He had kept changing the Red Arremer article to reflect the SNK interpretation instead of CAPCOM's too (which is not his average appearance as he only looked like that for one game), grrr CheapAlert 00:25, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

- Ummm....what's your point...? - MegamanZero 8:18 3 November 2005

  • Please stop acting like you have some sort of authority. I generally have more experience than you regarding these games. Also, for the last time, stop inserting your POV into the article. I took out the tier information. LEAVE IT OUT. Danny Lilithborne 23:00, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

List of Megaman Zero Characters[edit]

I'm sorry, but would you mind leaving your comments on the article's Talk: page? It's just, leaving articles on my personal "My Talk" page isn't really helpful, especially if it's about what changes and what help you need on a certain article.

Please, go to the List of Mega Man Zero Characters page and click ont he Discussion tab. Add some comments relating to what you need done about the article and what you're planning to do. I can't help you at the moment, because you're a bit too vague on what help you need.

Also, we need to discuss the future of that article and it would be best to do it on the Talk page, so others can chip in with their two pence.

Pictures for Megaman Zero Articles[edit]

I hope you don't mind, but I won't be helping you out with pictures for the Megaman Zero articles until Planet Megaman is back up. They had the best archive of Official Artwork, with better quality pictures of Weil and Omega than Megaman Network does. It will be best to wait until their better quality pictures are available and use them on Wikipedia. Wolf ODonnell 13:36, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You are so right-Planet-megaman had the best gallery this side of the internet. If you can't help, I understand...just pitch in when your able to. -MegamanZero

MegaMan Zero, Pantheon Article?[edit]

Might I enquire about your reasons for changing back the Pantheon article to it's flawed, plagiarized from MegaMan-Network form when all evidence points out that the current article is incorrect in more ways than one? I refer you to what's written on the discussion page of that article. Both the flaws, unoriginality of text, and lack of proper arguements to back up the regression, bother me here.

  • No problem. I'll get back to you on the Talk page.-ZeroTalk

Megaman Zero Image[edit]

Hi there, I'm just wondering where you obtained this image[1] from. Thanks. Zero1328 12:19, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You know, I was kinda wondering too. It's just, you see, an issue's been raised on the Megaman Network forums where I asked for help on the Megaman Zero articles, mainly that you seem to have taken that picture without permission as was discussed in this [[2]]
P.S. You may have figured out that I've recruited some expert help from the Megaman Network forums. These guys spend quite a lot of time arguing and discussing Megaman Zero issues as well as that of Megaman X. I hope you don't mind, it's just that it appears that you seem to be getting into a few arguments with them.

I saw you were intersted in making articles for the two swords, as they are characters in themselves basically. But I dunno if two whole articles are neccessary, but I was thinking of making an article called Soul series, which would be an overview of the games and everything, simlar to Star Fox series or Lunar series, and then have a section for the two swords there. What do you think? Thunderbrand 13:48, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Harpuia, Fefnir, etc merges[edit]

I don't know what's up about it, since I didn't bring it up, nor did I know that it was. however, I think it's a good idea. they're minor characters, they belong in the list. also, go look at the MMN thread about it. Zero1328 11:40, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Omega[edit]

Could you provide a source for the names "Golden Omega" and "Fusion Omega"? I'll remove them for now. - Zero1328 09:26, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Weil[edit]

I'm sorry, but the old version of Dr. Weil's personality is wrong and has numerous spelling errors. If anything, you've reverted it back to an unprofessional look. I mean, let's look at it sentence by sentence.

Memories of Dr. Wily and Isoc are brought up in this character.

To the average person who doesn't know much about the Megaman series, this sentence means nothing. The article's target audience is for those that no little to nothing about Megaman.

For one, he is obsessed with Zero, his performance, his specs, and overall him as a whole.

This sentence is incorrect. Dr. Weil isn't obsessed about Zero. He's more obsessed with revenge against those that wronged him, as evidenced in Megaman Zero 4 and near the end of Megaman Zero 3. The majority of his words to Zero are him boasting about how he's human, how humanity are pigs and how he will bend all Reploids to his will.

So what if he cackles about how far Zero can get in "that body"? He's just taunting Zero.

Weil exhibits many of the same traits as Wily: insanity, no remorse, and an unending desire to see his plots through to their eventual conclusion.

Comparing him to another character is of no use to someone who knows little about the Megaman franchises, which is the article's target audience. That is why I stripped that out.

Weil's explosion from Neo Arcadia has also driven him insane with rage and revenge.

Excuse me, but explosion? Expulsion, right? And yes, that is his major character trait. However, you only gave it a passing mention.

He hates the inhabitants of Neo Arcadia and for thier actions agaist him, as well as an overbearing greed for his increse in power.

Thier should be spelt their. The letter n is missing from against and there's an a missing from increase.

In contrast, there are no spelling mistakes in the version I created. My version talks about his boasts to Zero of his own humanity and how he's superior to Zero because of it. It talks about how Weil regards Reploids as tools, which yours did not contain. It even contains a quote from the Japanese version of the game that explains his underlying motive for all he has done for the past two games.

Admittedly, perhaps the phrase "an eye-for-an-eye mentality" could be written better, but the version I wrote is accurate, better spelled and focuses less on a few rare and random taunts.

Problem[edit]

If you find images online (as with Image:X8team.jpg), they are almost certainly copyrighted by their creator, and cannot be tagged as {{PD-self}}. tregoweth 23:28, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • That's not a good enough reason to delete it without discussing it with me first.-MegamanZero
Unfortunately it is, and is stated explicitly in the image page that lack of a proper tag will lead to deletion. This agressive stance must be taken to legally protect the foundation and this site.--Alfador 17:17, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You said you "ripped" Image:Warzard.png. The proper tag for that is {{game-screenshot}}, not {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}. tregoweth 18:21, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, okay then. I didn't know the tag for game screenshots; so i just used {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}, because I thought it would apply to it.-MegamanZero

    • Also, don't "sign" images, especially if you did not create them, and do not upload images unless the copyright owner has explicitly given permission. You cannot grab images from anywhere and upload them; other people own them. tregoweth 06:51, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
      • Yes, that's true, you can not just grab images from anywhere, and people do own images on the internet; however, most of the images I have gotten are official art, which can be used for any purpose and are open to the public domain; most of these images are used on various websites. Hence, I've marked them with the 'copyrightfreeuse' tag, which is correct. In that case, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop reverting those images, you apparently don't understand the fact that the copyright info is correct; as well as proper concensus to back up your actions, which is beggining to annoy me. -MegamanZero

Award from Dynamo_ace[edit]

  • Thanks so much for the award! Its a very good feeling when someone recongnizes me for my actions. Yes, I had long been overdue to working on the DOA character pages, yet was unable to do so because of my work on other articles. By the way, what do you think of my "personality" sections..? Considering DOA's usually non-sensical storyline, it was somewhat difficult, but managable due to the mannerism's the characters exibit in battle.-MegamanZero 13:43 25,November 2005 (UTC)

Hmm, the personlaty section is a diffcult one to do, play the game a bit and get a feel for the characters, also looks at some other character pages on Wikipedia (other than those from the DOA section) and have a look at them, they might help you in terms of improving the personalty sections. • I do, I pretty much live and breathe DOA (I own all three installments as well and I am 5th placed online in the world), and besides DOA, have written various other video game character analysis's.-MegamanZero 14:15 25,November 2005 (UTC)

Mai Shiranui pic[edit]

Is that picture really copyrighted for any use? Given the apparently commercial url, that seems unlikely at best. --Maru (talk) Contribs 15:23, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Really? That is suprising; an unusually enlightened and rational copyright policy. Well, as long as it's alright with SNK, then I'm happy. --Maru (talk) Contribs 15:36, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mega Man games[edit]

I'm replying to your question on my talk page: I personally think the articles need some work. There seems to be no standardization in them at all in terms of how they're categorized or sectioned. Unfortunately, I don't see many people who regularly edit the articles, so I haven't taken the initiative to make them a part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer and video games. If you like, I can help with anything that needs to get done. I've already started article stubs on all the games in Template:megaman. ~ Hibana 19:59, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'm just not really happy with how some of the Classic games articles are at the moment. It seems that ever since the X and Zero series, which are fine in their own right, sprung up, those have been abandoned. I myself am a bit guilty of that, as the only article I've doctored ever since I became a user is Mega Man 8. Category:Mega Man games is also a bit of mess, and I think there should be subcategories for each series. Unfortunately, I haven't come up with a way to name a classic spin-off titles category (Category:Mega Man Classic spin-offs?, Category:Mega Man Classic side-series?). This is also a problem with the characters and concepts, i.e. Battle Chip Gate. Finally, there is still some inconsistency and redirects that need to be fixed, especially those of the characters: Doctor Wily has a million redirects. By the way, I appreciate your adoption of the Zero series articles the way you have; it's the one series I've never played, so I can't really do any heavy editing in them. ~ Hibana 20:30, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll get to those categories as soon as I devise a plan in the next few days. ~ Hibana 20:41, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

re: clean up[edit]

hi. well you edits are overall good, the only thing is don't remove pics on articles until you discuss it on the discussion pages. --Phil 20:05, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks. As for the picture, well, that Tina Armstrong picture sans DOA2 was getting pretty outdated, so I replaced it with the newer, up to date Ultimate version. Besides, easier on the eyes, don't you think..? =)-MegamanZero 21:36 25,November 2005 (UTC)

Because I didn't notice your comment for some time.[edit]

Imagine my surprise when somebody leaps out of nowhere and firmly accuses me of mismanagement of information. If you'd check the history, you'd discover that I never touched your article. Mega Man Network graphics and copyright[edit]

You tagged Image:Megaman zero(activeform).jpg as {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}. Mega Man Network's legal page suggests that they don't actually allow this:

"You cannot...use any content for the construction of another website or other publication."

Plus, since Capcom owns the characters, not Mega Man Network, they would ultimately decide if something is okay or not.

In other words, unless the copyright situation is more clearcut (Capcom directly saying that the graphics can be used), you probably shouldn't be uploading material from that site. tregoweth 06:30, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree. I'm going to do some more research from Capcom themselves and see what comes up. On the other hand, some of the images you put up for deletion aren't needed anymore anyway; I'm going to vote them for deletion.-MegamanZero 13:23 26, November 2005 (UTC)
    • If you want, you can just let me know and I'll take care of them. Also, with regards to the {{CopyrightFreeUse}} image tag: This should only be used with images that explicitly say they can be used freely. Because this is something the copyright holder has to specifically grant, one can't assume that it's OK to use something. tregoweth 02:17, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thankfully, Copprchair was blocked for a week and, although his block has expired, he has yet to return. And, without Copperchair, my Star Wars editing is going rather smoothly. With him around, we could get very little work done. The Wookieepedian 02:33, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • He had some VERY strong feelings of what the content of articles should be. His editing habits can be mostly explained by the fact that he firmly believed that articles should follow formality. For example, he hated the fact that Hayden Christensen played the spirit of Anakin Skywalker in Return of the Jedi, so he would use the excuse of "the movie credits havn't changed, therefore we shouldn't change ours." Copperchair would commonly hide any changes he made as "Sp." or "italic," and would deny any wrongdoing when confronted about it, claiming that he was "correcting the article." And the guy had done this same exact thing on multiple articles for MONTHS. It's nice to see that the Arbcom has finally stepped in to quiet him. Hi MMZ, understand that Jimmy's very busy and doesn't have much time to respond to everything people ask him. If you have a more concrete issue he could help you with I'm sure he'd help you out. In any case, if you want to get some feedback on articles you've worked on, the best thing to do is to submit them for Wikipedia:Peer review or Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer and video games/Peer review. Good luck! Jacoplane 15:29, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the helpful advice. I shall do just that. =) Though, I wish Jimbo had responded- I would have have liked to hear discussion from the maker of wikipedia itself. Also, I was wondering how come he answers some posts about community issues and not others- he answered about the new arbiration committie but not the people who simply asked for his humble opinion on semi-protect. That seems kinda selective, but.... I dunno.-MegamanZero 17:47 November 29, 2005 (UTC)

Assistance[edit]

Cool Cat, may I request some tips and tricks-of-the-trade regrading adminship? ...Would you be as so kind to help me on my quest to (eventually) become an admin..? I think I'd contribute well to the other users of our fair community, and I have read the articles on adminship all at least twice. Also, could you look at my contributions, discussions, etc. and tell me your humble opinion of me as a user in wikipedia...? Any critisism would be quite helpful. Normally, I'd be asking Tony, but he's kinda busy right now. -MegamanZero 23:41 30,November 2005 (UTC)

I failed to achive adminship access with two trials. I no longer seek adminship. Reasons are:
  1. I do not care about/understand wiki-politics (I am here to merely write/expand an encyclopedia).
  2. no one explained me why they opposed my RfA to the point of leaving wikipedia if I were adminised.
  3. people are being dicks and are torturing me by taunting with "do this or I will oppose your next rfa" or "that comment is why you arent an admin".
Threfore I do not seek adminship, it would however make my vandal fighting efforts easier but it is serriously not worth my time.
Hence I am a very bad person to talk to for advice. Any advice I may give to you or if people think I am helping you that may geportise your adminship effort.
Regretfully, I cannot be of any help to you either way. :( --Cool CatTalk|@ 12:32, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Somehow, I find that hard to believe. You seem like a nice enough guy, as well as having the long-term goal of improving wikipedika in mind. You also seem to have a knack for honesty, something I find admirable. All you need too do is wash your mouth out with soap, and you'll go far. =) -MegamanZero
Well, believe it or not, thats how it is... --Cool CatTalk|@ 16:35, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That's too bad....I think people should get to know you better before making making assumptions like that. However, if its any assumption, I believe you are a good wikipedian and I thought (still do) you could be of help. Besides, anyone with a username like Cool Cat can't be all that bad!-MegamanZero
Advice I can safely give are:
  1. Revert vandalism (RC patrol)
  2. Do NOT touch articles such as Armenian Genocide
  3. Hope no one you met does any of the items listed on WP:ABF.
--Cool CatTalk|@ 18:28, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks! But why not touch articles like Armenian Genocide..? And why avoid people who do things on WP:ABF...? Just curious.-MegamanZero 20:58 1,December 2005 (UTC)
Since I touched that contraversial article, several people made my wikipedia exerience miserable, at several occasions I had seriously considered leaving. For their horrid behaviour I am held responsible in the minds of several users. It's just how wiki-politics works, I dont claim to have an understanding of it. Thats the best explanation I can come up with. I do not think it should make any logical sense tho.
If people are ABF, they must have a reason right? :)
Tonigaku, contraversial are like the sun if you get to close to them you only end up getting burnt. Even if you leave such articles alone for months you will still be a "POV Pusher" 12,000 edits later. --Cool CatTalk|@ 19:05, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • I see. In another note, I looked at this, and it was quite interesting...may I inquire why those two were stalking you and why you have been designated mentors..? You do not seem like the type to cause trouble, my friend.-MegamanZero 23:14 1,December 2005 (UTC)
I do not know... They either sincerely saw me as a threat to wikipedia (Hwathornes: Road to hell is paved with good obsessions) or they enjoy anoying others. Although I hope its not the latter, I cant rule it out either. --Cool CatTalk|@ 21:16, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Concerning your query:

I was just on RC-Patrol when I noticed the vandalism on the pertaining userpage; if you have a look at Wikipedia:blocking policy, at least according to my understanding, not much would earn a longer block at the first time; but there's admins and there's admins, and I'm not one of the harsh ones (Have a look at my userpage, perhaps you'll understand). But I'll keep an eye open now on him...Btw, the vandlism came not only from one anon account. Cheers. Lectonar 08:04, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, I agree being harsh isn't a good "policy" as an admin, but he's done nothing but target and vandalize The Wookieepedian's page. On top of that ,he has not even made any helpful contributions. Also, yeah, he's been using sockpuppets in his vandalizing. -MegamanZero 9:11 1,December 2005 (UTC)

About Oh! My Goddess....[edit]

...I've looked at the pages, and the first step to making them conform to a higher quality would be making info boxes, stating their names, ages, elemental affinity, etc. I've drawn out a prototype below:

Species: (Human, Goddess, sprit, etc.)
Gender:
Demension: 3rd (Humans), 10th (goddesses and gods)
Measurements:
Age:
Birthday:
Height:
Weight:
Hair color:
Eye Color:
Elemental Affinity: (Fire, Earth, wind, etc.)
Angel(s):
First appearence:
Voice actor:

What do you think..? If you agree, I'll make it and insert in into the articles, as well as deviding the information into subsections for easier reference. They can be found here.-MegamanZero 15:06 3,December 2005 (UTC)

That would be great enhcancement to the articles, be careful though in terms of certian info, some of which has not been exactly correct due to errors in translation, OVA answers or general misinterptation. -Dynamo_ace Talk

  • Okay. I've made a infoboxe(s) for the characters of Oh! My Goddess. Mind taking a look and seeing if they're okay..? If so, I'm putting them in the articles.

P.S. I need info on the three size measurements, weight, and height for the characters... -MegamanZero 18:59 3,December 2005 (UTC)

I took a look at the templates, they OK, though i wonder if you are going to include pictures in the infoboxs like with the DOA articles.

I did a bit of searching and i know that Noblescarlet has the stats you need to complete the profiles. The site (in case you are not bothered to take a look at the links on the AMG articles) is:

Zero's model number?[edit]

It should be DWN ∞, as shown in the background of Area X-II in Megaman Zero 3. Unless it is written somewhere in a game as DWN Infinity.

  • Judging from the pic you provided me with, it looks more like a horseshoe ring than a an infinity sign. I believe the simple word of Infinity should be utlized to avoid confusion between readers.-MegamanZero 8:02 5,December 2005 (UTC)

That's the symbol for Omega. Look in the lower-right corner. --LifeMega 07:41, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Still, that looks to be more of a compensation for lack of space (its a GBA game, after all), but I could be mistaken. However, the word infinity still describes the model placement well enough; some readers may not know what ∞ is.-MegamanZero 8:45 5,December 2005 (UTC)

True. They might think it's DWN-Figure-Eight. --LifeMega 08:14, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mai Question[edit]

Is there a particular reason besides Ewww that you removed the Mai image that had all the proper info and tags on it?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.7.7.47 (talkcontribs)

  • That picture, similar to Mai2.jpg, was downright atrocious. Both were extremely distracting, and rendered the nearby text unreadable.-MegamanZero 8:09 5,december 2005 (UTC)

So basically you don't like it so you took it off. That is such bs.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.208.104.98 (talkcontribs)

  • You may have a point there. But I don't mind being called a bullsh*^%$ as long as the articles are competent. Sticks and stones you know.-MegamanZero 21:48 5,Decamber 2005 (UTC)

I didn't call you bs, I said your reason was BS, there is a difference.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.7.7.47 (talkcontribs)

  • I'm sure there is. But the fact that the article is already competent with the lastest art of Mai makes the article sufficent; there's litle reason up back up a concensus that increses a page's loading time.-MegamanZero 0:00 5,December 2005 (UTC)

The artwork that you detest is newly released by SNK Artist Falcoon. Thus if you want to go with your defense of newer is better I can place that image at the top and move the NGBC image down. Would that work for you? Also its one of only 2 pics I know of that has Mai in the only other videogame costume that I am aware of. Thus it should be part of the article. Or are you censoring it because you don't like the other costume?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.7.7.47 (talkcontribs)

  • I've added the info about the costume to the triva and posted a note addressing this change. Please do not remove them so that others may see what the fact is trying to tell them. -Dstorres
  • We already have a uploaded image of Mai in the KOF maximum impact version. However, yours was even worse, and its wastseful to have to have two of the same pictures.-MegamanZero 8:19 6,Decamber 2005 (UTC)
  • Thanks, Dstorres. The present article is much better in terms of a visual and categorical basis.-MegamanZero 8:23 6,December 2005 (UTC)

Now you've moved on to Leona[edit]

So what do you have against the Leona pics? Yours is too cartoony. So what do you have against the KOF Leona pics?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.7.7.47 (talkcontribs)

  • There you go again. The picture is much more recent, my friend. The articles should be kept up to date with the most recent pictures as much as possible. Besides, its a video game, how can it be too "cartoony"..? Please take that complaint to SNK, who constructs the art, its obvious the company has a viewpoint that dictates thier game art in a different direction. -MegamanZero 23:50 5,December 2005 (UTC)

Her outfit hasn't changed so the pic doesn't need to be updated. But to compromise, we'll keep both pics (and the blood riot one). Sound fair? And while I'm not 100% sure I think that Neowave & Max Impact were released (in Japan) about the same time so there was no need to erase the 3D pic either.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.7.7.47 (talkcontribs)

  • Since the outfit hasn't changed, that means that we only need one picture. For that reason, just because the outfit has not changed, does not mean that it shouldn't be updated. -User:MegamanZero 8:16 6,December 2005 (UTC)

With all due respects, since I was the person to post Leona's profile it would be nice if you stopped changing the pics. All 3 pics are there now so would you stop removing the ones I chose?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.7.7.47 (talkcontribs)

  • Your image is several editions old, and depicts leona in the same outfit, for some apparent reason. -MegamanZero 19:59 6,December 2005 (UTC)

Ok... since I have to look up everything you said I will just say that my pic is a profile pic, yours is a bust/headshot and is more appropriate despite its age (1 year older than yours). I tried to compromise by keeping all the pics (which is fair and less juvenile than our previous switching the images back and forth). Personally, I do believe the way the pics are currently aranged looks better and more professional than your choice. That is my opinion and I'm sure you don't agree with it due to the "age" of my pic.

Here is a better reason to leave it my way. The way your have the pictures arranged mashes 5 of the paragraphs of the history text as opposed to the 2 that mine affect . Having no pictures in the history makes it look too boring. However the inclusion of the colorful pic (yours) livens it up (yet doesn't distract IMHO).

  • Fine, you slick so and so! :) Damn you for not giving me a way to argue your opinion... I'll leave it be; besides, we all came to group concensus in the end, eh..? Besides, the Iori and Kyo articles have more pressing concerns anyway. MegamanZero 23:17 6,December 2005 (UTC)

I can be big and appoligize for the rather childish removing, then restoring previous. Sorry.

Megaman Battle Networks Chip List[edit]

This is meant as a continuation of a comment you left over at Hibana's discussion page. It seemed more logical to address the issue here rather than on his page.

Specifically, colour me confused. I have no idea what you mean by "Furthurmore, I was the one who had reverted in the past when you made the list, concerning its "messiness", which you did, indeed correct." Looking at my last edit to the topic (Oct 14th) the only list was one of the game specific NetNavis. Is this the one you are referring to? Or are you, perhaps, referring to anon 68.197.30.16's list (which seems more likely, but again I am not sure). But leaving my general confusion behind, for the moment, I fully agree (as, it appears, you do too) that the chip lists shouldn't be contained on Wikipedia (see MegaMan BN 1's Talk Page for an example). Anyways, since you are around the articles fairly often I am sure I will be seeing you. Thought 23:56, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • My deepest apologies. I (wrongly) assumed that you were previously anon 68.197.30.16! Please forgive me. :) Anywho, I'm very glad we share a common opinion on this subject, and I hope you like my edits to the article. Finally, like other newcommers who share a love of Megaman, I welcome you to corect edits and make articles, and I'm glad to find another wikipedia who loves Megaman as much as I do. I hope you stay in Wkipedia and continue to make and edit articles, regarding the subject, and please don't hesitate to talk to me on my talkpage. Regards, MegamanZero 2:18 6,December 2005 (UTC)
Hey, no need to apologize. I was just confused and worried I had made a bad edit and totally forgot about it. I do hope that someday (some wonderful day when I don't have work to do) I'll be able to contribute more. :)

  • Yes, it is indeed a shame when our fellow peers engage in such childish pranks and wrongly vandalise wikiepdia. It is even more so, I believe, wrong, that admins must block that IP to stop such inexcusable behavior, at the same time preventing editors like ourselves from contributing in good faith. I'm gald to see you are one of the few students at the school who take such issues seriously and make sound edits. If only there were more mature people at our school...but I digress. KOF Suggestion[edit]

I have a suggestion, instead of nitpicking Mai & Leona (as you have been) might I suggest you take a peak at Iori and Kyo. I've given up trying to work on those (save the KOF XI pic of Kyo).-Dstorres

  • Those articles are overly stuffed with needless pictures and gb consumption as well.-MegamanZero 20:05 6,December 2005 (UTC)

You noticed that too did you? -Dstorres

  • Certainly. Especially the bathroom picture and "Iori's tears" pictures. Yeah, I'll open up a notice on thier respective talk pages concerning those new additons, and please feel free to join on the respective debate. Hopefully we can evecerate down on such Overzealousness. :)-MegamanZero 22:10 6,Decamber 2005 (UTC)}

I am the author of the pictures, and I demand that YOU stop interfering with my work. You DO NOT have any right to ERASE ANYTHING, you're free to discuss anything you want but, seeing as how you're a megaman fan (capcom game), it is pretty evident that you're not qualified to discuss about KOF stuff (which is SNK's).-The Ogry

  • You are not in a position to make any demands. It's obvious that you are PoV editing (again) according to your SNK non-concensus picture(s) PoV. We will make an offer to stop editing any articles when you prove your concensus and explain how any of these various pictures contribute anything meaningful to the article. I'll continue editing these articles because I am interested in them, and I suggest that you stop your harrasment and false comments about me being banned from editing them. Furthurmore, your thesis of statement of making the rididculous assumption I know nothing of SNK is pure, outright fallacy. Just because I love Megaman, by no means does that fact prove my ignorance. But in fact, the articles explanatory functons and thesis are fine as it is, the only problem is the fact you are uploading useless, disruptive pictures in the article.-MegamanZero 8:11 7,December 2005 (UTC)
  • Demanding, isn't he? I noticed he didn't mention that he had no problems erasing the images I originaly placed for Kyo & Iori. Dstorres

It's easy to explain that: read the text. The pictures that you are reffering to are established in the Story part of the profile. They accompany the story narration that exists year per year with sync that not only describes vital parts of the story, but at the same time, they show different aspects of the personality of the character and their evolution throughout the years. Thus, they are perfectly needed and appropriate.-The Ogry

  • You falsely make it seem as if these pictures depict (or rather add any) informativeness to the article; Rather, it seesms, the pictures add "flashiness" to the page and little more. Lest you continue to be in any doubt about this serious failing of yours, I'll elaborate below:

There you go again[edit]

Iori[edit]

  • Image:Kyoandiori.jpg and Image:Foreverrivalry.jpg

- Honestly, these pictures do a faihful job of depicting the burning rivalry between Kyo and Iori, however, in terms of content, they're both fundamently the same thing. One should suffice for the article (personally, I like Image:Foreverrivalry.jpg).

  • Image:Tears.jpg

- This is where it gets surreal. That image simply depicts Iori crying or bleeding for some apparent reason; I can only speculate to the reason of its upload. Furthurmore, There's no mention of the pic's sembelence anywhere in the article.

  • Image:Iori55.jpg

- Picture of Iori in a snazzy oufit- This is very hard to believe. Are you claiming that this contributes to the article..?

  • Image:Iorisanger.jpg

- This picture; I can understand its exsistance, but the fact that the previous Blood riot Iori pic did a much better job of depicting Iori's rage (and transformation), then you have even less grounds to claim this image is making a valid contribution.

  • Image:IorivsLeona.jpg

- Descriptive pic, in that it decribes the idea of Iori and another finding out about their heritage, but the surrounding pharagraphs detail nothing about it. Why not use it in Leona's article instead..?

  • Other: Finally, unlike what you said in your statement, almost all these images have no descriptions intitled on them- meaning they look more like a fancy gallery as a result. Also, the point of splitting up Iori's qoutes in to different subsections is uncalled for-they're not that relevant.

Kyo[edit]

Kyo's article is much less saturated- it depicts his different styles over the game series, which is admirable, as well as neat and labled with clear comments on the images. The only image that has no concensus for staying is the ridiculous image of Kyo taking a bath. Finally, this article also suffers from overkill in the quote area as well. And both articles could use a link for "related characters", allowing easy reference.-MegamanZero 18:48 7,December 2005 (UTC)

How about you stop being a jackass?[edit]

Stop editing the quotes of the KOF characters, please. I am NOT going to sacrifice a more complete character section just because you find it "excessive". Wow, so putting more info on one character is excessive? Who made you the judge and jury of what is to be posted or not? You self-important swine. Gotta love the Wikipedian democracy.-K Lantis-K Lantis 08:26, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Democracy, eh? Four words for you: I. Don't. Think. so. Wikipedia is not a demcrocy today, tommorow, and certainly not anyday aftertwards, and I refuse to listen to such rididculous personal attacks. I fear for the youth of today. Really I do. This is one of the biggest waste of time comments I have recieved thus far. In the time it took to respond to this nonsense, I could have done any number of far more productive things. Like gone to the bathroom, or eaten a bowl of mashed potatoes and raisins. In conclusion, tell me why you and your army of sockpuppets insist on saturating various articles with quotes. Do they make tha article more informative..? Do they provide insight..? Do they follow any concensus..? And, finally, are they even that notable..? Your edit summeries (or lack there of) fail to answer any of these questions in a constructive manner, and I shall certainly intend to go on ignoring your personal attacks and "discussion" where it traduces the WP:POV policy or the deletion policy. And What of it? I'm not in your club and I don't have to subscribe to its rules where they diverge from those of Wikipedia. -MegamanZero 09:40, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wow, you really like to wave the flag of righteousness and proper order, eh? Aren't you the one who keeps complaining about the pics shown in each character section because they're not "the proper ones"? OH NOES, THE RELEVANCY! Allow me to tell you something: perhaps the quotes are not that relevant, but it DOESN'T AFFECT ANYONE. If it makes the character section a lot more complete, I don't see ANYTHING wrong with it. Except that for some reason it fills your eye the wrong way. Oh wow. Now Wikipedia is based on personal taste. I didn't read your name on the doormat. It's not like I was posting everyone's horoscope and what are their favorite TV shows, now did I? I dunno how THAT violates your precious POV policy, since I'm just posting IN GAME INFO, not my POV, you POS.--K Lantis

  • There you go again. I'm trying to reconcile the stuff on the page you put up with Wikipedia policy. I've been warning you and your sockpuppets for days that this excessive quote thing in its current wording is ultra vires.

You say it doesn't affect anyone and makes the character section "more complete". Yes, the affection for the article and all the people, not just your little clique of sockpuppets that's decided to ignore the deletion policy and the undeletion policy.

That's why I have to go into that mess every now and then and haul out a potential survivor, its heart still beating, while your lot does its best to squeeze the breath of life out of it by misrepresenting the deletion policy.

I don't expect that the situation will be made much worse by this latest fiasco, but I did think it worthwhile to try to represent to you just how far you have diverged from Wikipedia policy and (consequently) how powerless your personal attacks and nasitiness has become. I mean, if someone can just step in and exhaust something right under your nose, and get a huge bloody keep vote on TP's, what's the point, eh? If you can still claim to be representing the will of the articles and thier completion, after an experience like that, you're even better at lying to yourself than our mutual friend, Mr IgnoreAllRules. -MegamanZero 16:47, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • So, *I* am supposed to be the elitist guy who writes down all that stuff to please all my so-called "sockpuppets". What sockpuppets do you speak of, exactly? Maybe it is the same people who don't abide by the rules you like to pull out of your ass? Again, it is not MY fault that the character sections are so lackluster and crappy that the quotes section overshadows everything else in the pages. But it is pretty obvious that YOU want to keep them as scarse and shallow as humanly possible. It seems that you shun off any valuable contribution to the sections if it doesn't fill your personal whims (which you like to disguise as the policies of this place, for some reason).

Oh, and yeah, maybe I WILL exercise this so-called "deletion policy", since you like to flaunter it so much. Hey, if I have to lower myself to that level, why not? It's in the RULES, isn't it?--K Lantis 17:06, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Be serious, K Lantis. Are you falsely accusing me of acting in a vindictive and flaunderous manner? Are you falsely accusing a person whom you have not name of abusing the policy knowledge with which he has been entrusted?

And, since you seem to suspect that the character articles here are so "lackluster and crappy", would you care to come foward and tell that critisim to all the good editors who edited on them for months? You are obviously acting as if you know something about the matter; I can only report my suspicion that you know better than we ignorant and self-important swines, and ask for you to cooperate in proving your concensus and our stupidity. -MegamanZero 17:17, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • So, "editing" is another word for "butchering"? Because that seems to be what you are doing. It is totally idiotic to see people who don't even contribute to the pages themselves just come in and edit/delete stuff just because they FEEL it doesn't belong? And it's pretty obvious you're not even doing a consistent job at it, since you edit some of my quotes, and yet leave others intact? And you replace them with pretty "mediocre" filling might I add (3 or 4 quotes? Pffft! I would rather have none at all than to see that travesty).

So tell me, in Wikipedia you inspire people to give only PIECES of info, but not ALL the info? That is why this place will NEVER have the reputation of giving COMPLETE info to their readers. --K Lantis 08:05, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • In no way, shape or form does deleting the competent quote section, vandalising the pages, and commiting WP:NPA AGAIN, in the face of a clear consensus you have been made aware of countless times, count as "giving complete info". Not only have you persisted in exactly the behaviour that has you before a possible rfar, and that you have clearly and specifically been told to stop, but you're trying to deny it too. You're not fooling anyone. Do you really expect this to be permitted to continue? It's like you're trying to prove that you need a prompt rfar agaist you. -MegamanZero 08:11, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ummm...OK. Since you tried to argue with me on my user page in a friendly manner, I guess we can end this dispute. BTW, I'm the creator of the KOF story FAQ at GameFAQS. I'll make good on my promise to fix the KOF character sections ASAP (without copying/pasting my work on it). I'll try to work them from the ground up. I think you've made a good ally in K Lantis. Excellent job. This is the essence of how to work with people on Wikipedia.

While I was here I took the liberty of removing the silly personal attack on you by 63.40.180.70 (talk · contribs). Feel free to remove that kind of attack from your own talk page, preferably without responding. Personal attacks are never encouraged on Wikipedia and in the case of your talk page you're probably better off just deleting the more extreme ones altogether. That fellow obviously wasn't interested in starting a conversation with you, he only wanted to call you names.

Removing personal attacks from other pages, however, is not a good idea. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 22:18, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A few things thrown your way[edit]

  1. I revamped my userpage: Here
  2. I settled my diferences with K-Lantis in a constructive manner: Here
  3. I figured out that redirects on wikipedia can be a very bad and sick thing.
  4. I've learned more and more how to be a better canidate for adminship.
  5. Question: Why do you have mentors..? You are a very well-behaved individual..
  6. I added templates to Hild, The Almighty, and Welsper.

I was hoping you could respond to all these and tell me your opinions. Thanks! -MegamanZero 21:20, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Nice, I see you coppied bits from my userpage, I am honored however you may want to review what you have been accused. :)
  2. Being able to resolve disputes without involving many bodies of dispute resolution is an admirable talent which admin candidates are expected to have. That is a great plus for you.
  3. Redirects can be annoying. In the past wikipedia did not have a "Search" button so we were forced to place multiple redirects for basicaly every posible referance for a given topic. Now with search redirects arent all that important.
  4. Do not worry about adminship, when certain people think you can survive an RfA they will ask if you would like to be a candidate. This does not mean one will imidiately be an admin but its more likely that way. Do not feel stressed if your RfAs do fail, I have two failed RfAs and hence I do not feel Ill ever be an admin sonn if ever. Thats just how it is.
  5. I have mentors because Arbcom decided that I needed mentorship. It was one of the desicions arbcom ruled on the arbcom hearing. It is one of the more famous and complicated hearings arbcom recently processed. I am not bothered by this ruling at all, I seek guidance on issues I am not certain what course of action to take rather than risk a disaster. Two of my metors are people I frequently directed questions at. It is somewhat formal now. The third person I knew about tho he is the quiet kind, you know... I also ask for guidance from tens of other users on IRC.
  6. Nice job, I modified some with some info. Thanks. I was going to do that but then again I really am a very lazy.
  • Yes, just one more thing- could you take a look at the this and tell me your opinion? I think its nice to have lots of wiki-contacts.-MegamanZero 23:10, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. Looks nice. Its hard to keep track of people at times. I try my contact box with symbols, easier for me and looks better. For your case, you may want to use colors to make it look neet :) --Cool CatTalk|@ 23:39, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

KOF GIF[edit]

Just to start: don't think I'm playing idiot here, but I actually don't know which update are you talking about. The only GIF I uploaded lately was of Billy Kane (artwork in RBFFS), because of two factors:

1. The image placed previously (KOF 2002 artwork) had an abusive size, and I forgot how to resize it (didn't check the tutorial unwilling to lose my update).

2. This is the stupidest reason for why would anyone replace an image: personal aesthetic sense. I personally think that the artist Playmore hired after the demise of SNK (and consequent booting of Shinkiro) sucked so bad, his art (in KOF 2001, KOF 2002 and SVC Chaos) wounded my eyes. I'd rather see a free character design from Falcoon than that. Like I said, it's pretty stupid, and after another user warned me about this, I ditched taking off all this art (although I still think that "artist" made Japanese skin stereotypically enough yellow).

So, if you can tell me where else I put GIFs, I'd be glad.

  • My mistake. I was once again quite overzealous in my assumption; I thought you were the person who kept reverting the King character page and adding the spite and gif picture. Sorry...I saw you made the most recent edit..and I thought it had been you. Well then! Guess I'll inform the real culprint..! -MegamanZero 17:13, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My contributions[edit]

  • Well, I created the Kula Diamond section, as promised. I'm still a fool when it comes to linking the other characters mentioned there, so any help there? Maybe adding some pic would be nice, too.--K Lantis 18:04, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, its done. BTW, you did a great job. :)-MegamanZero 18:23, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Belldandy?[edit]

  • Speaking of which, I've gone on another bout of overhall madness, and have inserted personality sections into all the OMG character articles. Take a gander at them and tell me what you think. If they need improvemnet, I'll keep working on them.-MegamanZero 21:19, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh it always needs improvement, this is wikipedia. Its never done ;)
Nice work although Welsper one smells a bot POV :P, however I seriously doubt anyone would RfC you over that ^.^ --Cool CatTalk|@ 21:46, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Okay, I've altered Welsper to keep it from sounding a little POVish. BTW, Peorth was pretty hard to analyize...:), but I think I have a talent for character analysis, don't you think..? -MegamanZero 21:51, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Peorth was your best one in my POV. --Cool CatTalk|@ 22:18, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks. But you haven't seen anything yet-watch when I go crazy on the Tekken character paages. :)-MegamanZero 22:20, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Archive[edit]

You may want to consider archiving. --Cool CatTalk|@ 21:47, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppets[edit]

I just noticed you declared several users sockpuppets of others, few cases including yourself. Sockpuppetary is a blockable offense. If Tony Sideway has sockpuppets he may be blocked for doing so. You perhaps want to mean "impersonation" which menas someone is posing as if they are Tony Sideway.

If you have other accounts you can advertise them withouot using the sockpuppet template which creates the Category:Wikipedia:Suspected sockpuppets of MegamanZero which can mean trobble (Although it wont go that far as the sockpuppets dont do much).

Notice when I were using the sockpuppet templates design I "subst:"ed the template and removed the categories in order to evade confusions. :)

--Cool CatTalk|@ 22:05, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ah. A mistake on my part. I assumed they could be used for accounts that were used by another user, no matter what the situation. I didn't think that meant that the account was vindictive, however. I'll take care of them.-MegamanZero 22:09, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It doesnt bother me at all since I know you. I just dont want others to have a wrong impression. :) --Cool CatTalk|@ 22:23, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Contacts[edit]

Umm...Can I add myself to your contact list..? :) -MegamanZero 13:25, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Which contacts? CVU? If you mean on my userpage you have been on there for quite some time now :) --Cool CatTalk|@ 13:29, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speaking of your userpage, I added you as my other mentor (the second being Mr.Sidaway) on your userpage. :)-MegamanZero 13:32, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

-_-;[edit]

Okay, looks like I'm hated...please look at my history, and note all the edits by User:TheOrgy are personal attacks.. What should I do...? Note I apologized to him on his userpage before this incident started, mind you. -_- -MegamanZero 15:19, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Here is how this is going to end, you either stop screeming at each other or warrant mutual destruction of each other. Personal Attacks are NOT welcome on wikipedia. You are welcome to discuss content on articles. You both are violating WP:NPA and hence are equaly guilty as far as I care.
I kindly ask both of you to please discuss article content only NOT each others personalities.
Please focus on whats better for the project and I can asure you that is not you screeming at each other for whatever the reson is. --Cool CatTalk|@ 15:58, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • May I inquire how I have been screaming at anyone..? I attempted to talk about the article on a neutral point of view, i apologizedto him earlier for my previous shouting out, and I have not commited any personal attacks... How have I been unfair..?-MegamanZero 16:01, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Now stop being a silly sausage is a personal attack. If one side is bad other is not any worse as far as WP:NPA should be concerned.
As visible from [3] other party is also violating WP:NPA. Modifying sigs can ALSO be interpreted as vandalism. I am not treating this any lightly than it should be.
I can only help the side ceasing personal attacks. If you both stop then there wont be a reson for my interference. --Cool CatTalk|@ 16:14, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
During this entire situation, I have kept my cool, I have asked nicely for theOrgy to come over to my userpage and talk like civil people. Finally, his supposeded "personal attacks" are false: I did not misspell his name on purpose, and I even had enough civility to go back and fix the misspelling...Cool Cat, I understand how people can be wrong in a situation like this, but I know I have attempted to be sincerly kind thoughout this whole situation, and I am not afraid to accept the fact when I am wrong in a matter. But, despite my kind gestures, he responded with a barrage of attacks on my talkpage, insulted my intelligence, and tried to use a article's talkpage for his own means. I am asking for a moderater (ie. you) and not one's opinion on who's fault it is in the matter.-MegamanZero 16:17, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thats why sparks didn't fly. He seems to have ceased his behavior (and you too).
Please understand I cannot take sides when both sides were somewhat "wrong". I am not remotely suggesting his behaviour is remotely acceptable.
If he touches signatures again I'll see to it that sparks do fly at his general direction as that is not only a violation of WP:NPA but also falls under Vandalism.
Currenly I am treating this as you and him saying things you regret/will regret in hopes that things will be settled with out involving administrators. --Cool CatTalk|@ 16:37, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Now stop being a silly sausage" was not a personal attack. It was simply a retufuton of his baseless atack on me. If I recall, he used a talkpge just to insult me. That line was simply meant to say, 'that's not true, and you're being silly". In other words, I was saying that his assumption on my stupidity and my good faith was incorrect and completely unjustified. Finally, I have not commited any personal attacks; I feel TheOrgy is being unfair, and I do not hold any ill will towards him. I would simply like something to be done about his baseless attacks agaist me and come to an agreement on the article. But, when I tried, he blew me off and said "I lacked intelligence and proper views".-MegamanZero 16:26, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Look, if someone suggested that I was being a "silly sausage" I would feel somewhat insulted. Your intentions may not be an attempt to insult him but sadly it may be interpreted as such. --Cool CatTalk|@ 16:37, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'm making a question that is completely inside the context of the profile page of Iori Yagami, that serves to clarify his and my knowledge of the subject (about the character Iori Yagami). He asks me to discuss this in his talk page, where he can modify everything and revert accussing people of vandalism, just how he has done it so far. He has also changed my name, my very signature in several pages including his talk page, this page, Iori Yagami's discussion page, etc, and I never did anything to his name, ever before. He has also erased the work of 3 persons on Iori Yagami's page including myself. We have a consensus I think, and he still insists in changing it.

You say that you apologized to me as an evident way of trying to appeal to the mods, no offense, but that's quite infantile from your part. I don't have any desire to keep the discussion any further, or to attack you. But I'm going to ask you once and for all, stop erasing people's work to fit your vision. We have another. I'm still waiting for your answer about the Tears pic MegamanZero, I'm saying this in the most positive of the possible tones. TheOrgy 16:30, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thats it. This is unacceptable. --Cool CatTalk|@ 16:37, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • I undertand that, and I didn't relize I was being insulting when I made that statement, however, I still would like to know how I have been wrong in this situation. You have said I was "screaming", I was not. You said I was violating WP:NPA, I had not (meant to). Finally, you say, "I have ceased my behavior"...Please, tell me, what I did that was so wrong...I believe I have been very nice about this matter, and I shall continue to be.-MegamanZero 16:40, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I placed a notice on WP:ANB/I [4], I would normaly pursue the matter further but I have to attend an important meeting and will be back later or perhaps the next day. --Cool CatTalk|@ 17:44, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Iori Yagami vote[edit]

OK, I took a look at it and voted for the old version. It needs to be reverted, as there are too many images, and only notable quotes are needed in any article. The rest of the quotes can be transferred to, and linked from, the Wikiquote wiki. The Wookieepedian 18:13, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this version he has is horrid, and screws with so much wikipedia policy and practice. I made a more detailed explanation in my vote.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 19:28, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much- he seems to put POV above everything else.-MegamanZero 19:31, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've left a note as well; I think the older version with fewer pics is a better choice (but the newer version with the images smaller might also work, as I indicated in my note there). One advice on polling: if someone wants to add a third (or fourth) choice, let them. This is how compromise is reached. Oh, and read over WP:COOL, staying calm is perhaps the best way to tackle a dispute. =) —Locke Cole 21:23, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • I was staying calm, but I was somewhat vexed over his impolite changing of the agreed thesis concerning the versions in the vote. He decided to change it around when he saw that his version was not going his way. Regarding the 3rd or fourth choice, I had no qualms about that, it just this so called Raul fellow seemed "non-exisistant' and as Phil Welsh stated, he failed to state a reason for his choice, as well as a lack of following the format for voting.-MegamanZero 07:42, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • Seemed for a bit like you were heading towards frustration, so I just didn't want anything bad to happen, heh. =) I agree, changing the choice like he did was wrong, instead he should have added another choice. As for "Raul", in polls like that it's usually normal to discard votes by anonymous (IP address-only) users. Anyhow, all pointless now since Tony seems to be trying a different method to resolve the dispute. I'll keep an eye on the talk page though and chime in if I think I can help. —Locke Cole 08:04, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
