Image copyright problem with Image:Erosion.png[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Erosion.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. § Lights talk 18:01, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I corrected that; thanks. --Renato (talk) 22:08, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advise on spam[edit]

{{helpme}} I believe all but the first 2 external links in Image analysis violate the WP:EL policy, and would appreciate if an administrator could remove them and place a notice in the respective violator's pages. Thanks in advance.

Now, here is the advice I need: In such cases, may I ask for an administrator to remove the links (as I did above), or should I remove myself? I'm concerned about possible retaliations and vandalism by those which have their links removed by me; after all, most of them are acting with malice. So, thanks for any advice on this. Renato (talk) 07:28, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. --SkyWalker (talk) 07:59, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, SkyWalker! Still, anyone can address the advice part? Renato (talk) 09:02, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can remove it. If you think the link is violating Wikipedia policy such has WP:External links. You can do anything you want aslong you have rightfully followed Wikipedia policies. --SkyWalker (talk) 09:53, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. Renato (talk) 14:45, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited So Much for You (song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Graham Edwards (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Skeleton[edit]

How did you make File:Skel.png? The description simply states that it is “A shape and its skeleton, computed with a topology-preserving thinning algorithm.” Cup o’ Java (talkedits) 13:56, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, I don't remember. I implemented some simple algorithm in Matlab and ran it on an image I downloaded. It was a few years ago. Why do you ask? Renato (talk) 10:45, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for April 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Portable ultrasound, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ecton. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on Institut de recherche de la sidérurgie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
