File permission problem with File:Crosfield's first laboratory, 1947.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Crosfield's first laboratory, 1947.jpg, which you've sourced to John Crosfield. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. Hello. This photo was taken by John Crosfield, my father, and used in his book Recollections of Crosfield Electronics 1947-1975 (Peterborough, England 1991). John Crosfield died 25 March 2012 and left me as Executor of his Will, in which all chattels, including rights, were left to the discretion of the Executors (the other is my brother). The photo has not been used elsewhere and we, his executors, are sure he would have wanted it to be available to anyone free of copyright. Hence the upload. No one else has any rights to this photo. I am not familiar with UK copyright laws, other than what I read in this article: Photography and the law#Copyright. I didn't quite understand it either, so I won't say anything lest it lead you astray. Maybe someone at the media copyright questions page has more expertise in this area. Can you forward a copy of the reasoning you gave on the image to the relevant OTRS queue per WP:COPYREQ, Effectively what you need to do is provide a valid contact address, and confirmation that as Executor you have the legal rights to disperse or dispose of any copyrights that would be held by the Estate.
