Thanks for the words above :)

Could you be a sport and add the maths in this chap's statistical chart, please? Found a gross mistake in one of the Villarreal B seasons, now can't make heads or tails of it...

Attentively, thanks in advance --81.193.141.118 (talk) 21:39, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

For Moreno, I standardised the order of the stats, made sourcing more explicit and corrected the career totals. I also noticed Soccerway and BDFutbol disagreed on two goal counts so I added comments for that.
For Pereira I've removed the assists columns and added club totals.
Is there anything else? :-)
Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 17:19, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Marvellous! I just think you'd better check Mr. Moreno again, i think the display is not working because of reasons that elude me...

Regards back --81.193.141.118 (talk) 00:32, 17 October 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for alerting me to the issue. I must have accidentally deleted the references along the way. Robby.is.on (talk) 00:59, 17 October 2019 (UTC)

October 2019

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something silly.

E.g. Sharly Mabussi - try and be a bit more careful as to how many ~ you put in. Iggy (Swan) (What I've been doing to maintain Wikipedia) 11:19, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Hi there Robby, all well?

My request? Same old, same old... While working extensively on the article today, found the following in stats: 21 goals for Sevilla and not 22, and minus one cap for Atlético Madrid (both are supported by BDFUTBOL, SOCCERWAY and that BBC Sport article added in the past (#13)).

Would you be a sport and adjust the totals please? I tried it for five minutes, my head is spinning like a devil's dreidel :)

Cheers, thanks in advance. RIP Mr. Reyes (and his cousin, the forgotten victim) and shine on WP! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 13:10, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Done. Wow, "dreidel", I didn't come across that word for a long time, had to look it up. :-) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:56, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

MOS:NICKNAME

Hi, I wanted to reach out to you regarding your recent update here. Where did you read that nicknames are NOT in hold? Al Capone is used as an example and has his nickname, Scarface, in bold. MX () 16:15, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

@MX: Sorry! I think I misread the MOS. I've reverted my revert. Thanks for reaching out in such a friendly manner. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 12:45, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Feck

I told you to remove that bit so maybe just a footnote? Tee wew28 (talk) 13:44, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

@Tee wew28: I don't see how the content you added is noteworthy. I have never heard of that Kevin O'Reilly guy and I fail to see what is notable about his saying "Feck". After all, he is an Irish person… Robby.is.on (talk) 10:03, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

I'l give you a clue it starts with who and ends with a who cares? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tee wew28 (talkcontribs) 11:44, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi there, all well?

You guessed it right man, can you please improve the display of his statistical chart? Utter mess in my view, for you methinks it will be (MUCH) simpler...

Attentively, thanks in advance and have a nice week --81.193.141.118 (talk) 16:09, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

At first glance, it seems fine. Could you give me a hint what exactly you think needs improvement? Robby.is.on (talk) 23:10, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

The second season at Bengaluru seems oddly outlined, maybe i'm seeing things wrong? --81.193.141.118 (talk) 00:19, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

Ah, yes, that helped. I took a closer look at the Bengaluru stats and corrected what looked wrong. I didn't check the other numbers. Anything else? Robby.is.on (talk) 16:04, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

AOK! It's me, back to full-time account editing now that the stalking has (apparently) stopped. Take care --Quite A Character (talk) 09:45, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

👍 Fingers crossed you don't get bothered again. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:51, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

And another one! Ezequiel Garay, i don't think the totals add up at all, and there seem to be some cup matches missing (i.e. Spanish web BDFUTBOL shows us he played one Copa del Rey game in his first season at Valencia, and SOCCERWAY attests to this as well); in Adrián López (great job by the way), I think you could use SOCCERWAY to directly cite his Porto stuff, only ones still not referenced after your changes.

Have a nice week, thanks in advance! --Quite A Character (talk) 00:40, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

  • Last one in a while, i promise :) Dani Romera, i tried to get it together but got all mixed... The most important changes to make are: 1 - the totals (again), and in his last season at Almería B he had 31/15 in the regular season plus 2/0 in the play-offs, not everything in regular season.

Cheerio, thanks a million in advance --Quite A Character (talk) 21:36, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

I didn't use Soccerway for Adrian López because it seemed to be missing cup appearances. Fora de Jogo (I think it was), which I also checked, had more but also seemed to miss some. I'll have a look at Garay and Romera now. Robby.is.on (talk) 15:26, 13 November 2019 (UTC)
Both Garay and Romera should be fine now. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 15:48, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, AGAIN! If the sources don't match, i think you should go with BDFUTBOL in this case (Spanish footballer, Spanish web). --Quite A Character (talk) 22:34, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

No problem. If you mean this in relation to the Adrian López stats: BDFutbol doesn't have cup stats for his Portuguese stint at all. Robby.is.on (talk) 22:59, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Ah, yes, my oversight! So, it's BDFUTBOL for Copa del Rey stats and FORADEJOGO for Taça de Portugal ones. But if you don't want to help me after the last developments (for which i have already apologised in the user's talkpage, AGAIN) that's fine, article stays this way.

I wrote yet another exaggerated summary? Yes, indeed. You blew this out of proportion (ANI report?)? With all due respect, indeed too.

Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 23:25, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

I don't mind helping you with stats on and off. About the incivility I responded at the other Talk page. Robby.is.on (talk) 23:37, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Can a brother get a hand in Gerard Moreno (footballer) (his chart of Spain goals)? I tried helping/fixing the chap that edited before me, failed miserably like they did :( --Quite A Character (talk) 22:43, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

Should be better now. :-) I don't usually edit the "international goals" sections but I saw that the "no." column was missing counts for the last two goals. Robby.is.on (talk) 23:00, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

Leonardo Bittencourt

I can't find the policy but I know one is out there. Why are you reverting? GiantSnowman 11:27, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

@GiantSnowman: I went for that order specifically because worldfootball.net is more accurate in the case of Bittencourt. Soccerway has the number of appearances wrong for his stint with Energie Cottbus II. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:28, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
Then use in-line citations on a season-by-season basis. GiantSnowman 11:32, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
I do like to use in-line citations. But in this case it seems like over-engineering for such a minor discrepancy. I've replaced Soccerway by kicker Online. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:38, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
@GiantSnowman: Thanks, by the way, for your earlier removal of the column with no appearances in it. It was indeed pointless. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:42, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
Wonderful. GiantSnowman 11:45, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

Hey! So, explanation. A lot of people have been telling me that it is ok to change club names because of the information, so that the links don't get cauhgt up. So I am basing it off of their words, but I can see why that is so. Thanks for your time. Bakir123 (talk) 21:28, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi there,

could you please be a sport and remove the ghastly (and forbidden, by WP:FOOTY) assist columns in this player's chart.

Keep up the good work, many thanks in advance --Quite A Character (talk) 03:16, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Done. :-) I also fixed a few totals. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:14, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Not sure why you are arbitrarily reverting edits and thereby removing sources from an article. It seems petty.Rupert1904 (talk) 19:50, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi there Robby, i wish you (belatedly) a great 2020!

Should be better now. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 09:17, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much

For reverting this edit which a naughty IP address has called both of us and another three unacceptable naughty names. What "rules" are we not following? I read the difference of added text and have never seen the news about a name change by one of the footballers that the IP has mentioned. ChrisTheDude must have been annoyed if it stayed on there when he logged in (by evidence of his user page displaying a picture of him with an 1986 footballer).

Again, thanks. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 11:14, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

p.s. oh no! Not that as well? I see you reverted it as well so thanks again. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 11:15, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
@Iggy the Swan:, you're welcome! :-) I don't think we should take any of claims this IP makes seriously, they're just trolling. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 11:24, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
I was taking a month off and therefore missed what happened re Lowton's article and talk page. That's tedious. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 11:29, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Date formats

Hi Robby, I reverted your change to Andy Gill. When you use YYYY-MM-DD format dates in the references along with a "use dmy dates" or "use mdy dates" template, the template will display the dates in the desired format. One primary advantage of doing this is, should consensus decide that the date format should change (like, suppose the UK decided to start using mdy dates, etc), the only change required would be to change the "use dmy dates" template, rather than having to change the syntax for every reference. Robman94 (talk) 16:42, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

Matt Lawton

Afternoon.

I have been mentioned in an edit summary by an IP address once again on the same page and guess what? Name changing to "Jonathan Field" again. I can't take it anymore that is overwhelmingly tiresome. Cheers, Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:13, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Piping

Hi there back,

can't say i understand/agree with much of those guidelines. And "FC" is left in Augsburg/St. Pauli but removed in Bayern Munich? Zero sense in my book, with all due respect!

I repeat, i don't think there is any harm done with leaving club names in full in storyline (in first reference, when we link them), piping them only in boxes. But don't worry, Mr. Almeida's article remains exactly how you want.

Attentively, happy editing/week --Quite A Character (talk) 18:55, 16 February 2020 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Leaving all club names in full makes the storyline unnecessarily laboursome to read.
Regarding Augsburg and St. Pauli versus Bayern see WP:KARLSRUHER, specifically "Town and City names": "In German football, it is not common practice to list clubs by just the town/city names, in the way that in England we refer to Liverpool or Blackpool. The club is always listed with a club name, e.g. Borussia Dortmund or Kickers Offenbach. If the team does not have an elaborate name like this, then the SC, FC, VfB (etc.) should be left in, i.e. VfB Stuttgart." Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:13, 16 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi there. It would be more constructive to update the timestamp yourself, rather than remove correct information from the page. Thank you. Dalitidlamadur (talk) 13:47, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

@Dalitidlamadur: That is debatable. I don't have infinite time at my disposal. In the same amount of time it takes to check for the correct information and update the timestamp, I can revert five to ten incorrect updates.
As far as I can tell from a quick glance at your contribs you seem to edit infrequently. If you had about 1600 pages on your watchlist you look after you'd probably share my perspective. Robby.is.on (talk) 13:51, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
It is not debatable whether it's more constructive. It is always more constructive. If you don't have the time to properly do it, then don't do it. Dalitidlamadur (talk) 13:58, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
I'm not here to take orders from you. Please take your hostility elsewhere. We're all volunteers and free to contribute as we please as long as our actions are in line with Wikipedia guidelines and policies. Robby.is.on (talk) 14:01, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
I'm not trying to be hostile, I'm simply saying that making sure that what you do is correct is more important than trying to do too much. See Wikipedia:Revert only when necessary, particularly: "It is usually preferable to make an edit that retains at least some elements of a prior edit than to revert the prior edit." Dalitidlamadur (talk) 14:08, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
If you want to avoid coming across as hostile so you shouldn't be giving fellow editors orders.
What I did is correct: I reverted the introduction of false data. Yes, it would be better to update the data. But again, if my choice is between five of those reverts and one update, I'll usually go for the former. Robby.is.on (talk) 14:14, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Accuracy_dispute#Handling_content_that_may_be_inaccurate The data itself (games played) was correct as of your edit; the timestamp was incorrect. You reintroduced outdated information, though you left the article technically correct. I don't think you'll listen though, which is unfortunate, and part of why I only infrequently edit Wikipedia. Dalitidlamadur (talk) 14:25, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
There are too many player articles for us to be able to update all of them after every match played. So we need to accept that we can only make sure the data is correct relative to a timestamp. Essentially, we seem to disagree on the best compromise for handling this situation. I try to update the pages of the players I watch at the end of each season. Robby.is.on (talk) 14:32, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Again the same, as in José Sá back in the day,

people putting RESERVE TEAMS competing in the top flight (in this case the Primeira Liga) when it's strictly forbidden, what are they thinking?!

Can you please help out and adjust the chart of statistics? Thanks in advance, keep up the great work --Quite A Character (talk) 20:34, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for cleaning up. I don't see how I could have done that when it was clearly the blocked account per history. (User talk:Struway2 being the page I looked at). Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:26, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi there Robby, hopefully all is well with you and yours in these trying and overall horrible times!

Just cleaned up/added refs to this article, and now here's where you (if you want, kind sir) come in. Where? In the stat chart of course (maths do not seem to add overall, I added the missing C.D. Aves matches because someone else forgot, then checked the totals and "all hell broke loose") ;)

Hello, there seems to be a problme with this edit of yours... there are 2 different birth dates in the Infobox... and the result is... weird.

I don't know whether it's a confusion between 2 different persons or a misplacement of dates. I let you have a look --Hsarrazin (talk on wd) 18:29, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

AS Lyon Duchère

Hi! A short period ago, you moved AS Lyon-Duchère to AS Lyon Duchère. No problem with that. Should you also have moved Category:AS Lyon-Duchère players to Category:AS Lyon Duchère players? And presumably updated all the players in that category so that they have the new category instead? Sorry if this is a daft question, but I thought player categories should have the same name as the club. Cheers, Gricehead (talk) 13:58, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi @Gricehead:, thanks for your message. I frequently come across changes of yours. Great work! :-)
Not a daft question at all. I didn't consider the category. Having never moved a category before I just read up on the topic here and here. I have now requested speedy renaming here. If I understand correctly, the move and the updating of players' articles should happen automatically. Fingers crossed… Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:21, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Briefing

Last time i butt in on someone else's conversation, if it kills me! After commenting on your request, my message to the fellow user (please see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Fodbold-fan#Footballers_playing_for_amateur_clubs_post-retirement) resulted on being told to get a life. Sure, as you know i use a lot of hystericals in my summaries (not saying it is correct, just stating), but never insulted this person or any user that is here to work well (vandals i have, was even blocked a long time ago, deservingly so if you consider the guidelines).

Bottom line is: he is saying "Leave me alone, i'll do the mistakes i want (changing from "striker" to "forward" if a player is a striker IS a mistake). Clean up if you want, but just get off my case". I'll do a "mea culpa" here of course, maybe i've lost him because of my manners, could be much more gregarious and non-lunatic (so to speak). But promise here, never again will he be mentioned in an edit summary of mine, i'll concentrate solely on the cleanup (i.e. improving article, which is what we're all here for).

Kind regards --Quite A Character (talk) 19:34, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

  • Situation seems to have been solved by the two us, i promise to keep the good vibes a-flowin'! --Quite A Character (talk) 19:41, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
Yes, passive-aggressive edit summaries need to stop; I can imagine he isn't the only one annoyed by that. It's much easier to get a (fair) point across if you don't antagonise people.
As for amateur clubs: I'm not aware of a discussion but it seems common sense to me to only include a mention of that in areas that don't relate to the player's professional career. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:00, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Puzzle clarification request

Hi Robby.is.on, Could you clarify how did you arrive on these two separate conversations? This on September 29, 2019: [1] and this on March 29, 2020: [2] Thanks GizzyCatBella🍁 18:31, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

@GizzyCatBella: Ever since I noticed weird things happening at Poland-related articles and the conflict that ensued and resulted in discussions at ANI (I think) and AE, I have had François Robere's Talk page on my watchlist. See WP:TPS. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 08:02, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Oh I see, ok, thanks.GizzyCatBella🍁 08:15, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Football is my main area of editing, yes, and I only do minor things such as typo fixing and consistent date formatting in other areas. I wouldn't, however, say it's my main area of interest in life. Where is this going? :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 19:35, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Tried to fix his club statistics all by myself, and this time i think i did pretty well :) Seriously, if anything needs correction, please do help out!

But the display of the newly created (also by me) international statistics chart has me kind of puzzled. Something seems fishy compared to other players (could if be because it's only one year of apps?), what's the problem there (if any, i repeat)?

Kind regards, thanks very much in advance --Quite A Character (talk) 19:20, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

Re: Heleno

Hi! I just realised that after correcting the inadvertent capitalisation of "top-scorer" that you kindly pointed out on Heleno de Freitas's page, I didn't actually respond to your message bringing this up on my page. Yes, I agree, but in this case it's not the name, it's the whole box for the national team name, look in any other footballer article, regards. --SimplyFreddie (talk) 17:43, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

In those articles it is on the left, here is on top. Nevermind, leave it that way even if it's incorrect. — SimplyFreddie (talk) 18:37, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi there,

could you please be a sport and insert the cup totals for Benfica and Amadora in the statistical chart? It's all in FORADEJOGO, which now is a source in said table. Plus (as SOCCERWAY clearly attests to), 2 matches from the 2008 Supercopa de España are also missing (Valencia stuff). As obviously, i could not make heads or tails of the whole thing :(

Kind regards, thanks so much in advance --Quite A Character (talk) 04:14, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: Hi. :-) I've added the missing data: national cup, some more international appearances, and super cups for both teams. I also removed the "league cup" column as the competitions were not played in the seasons listed: Taça da Liga started in 2007, which is after Miguel left Portugal, Copa de la Liga was only in the 1980s. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:10, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Player positions categories

Hi, as you have participated in the discussion (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#Player positions categories), I thought to let you know that all three positions are being discussed at Categories for Discussion (full-backs, wing-halves, and centre-backs). Senam Langueh

If a source says a player played for a club in the league system, we include it in the infobox. That is standard. GiantSnowman 09:44, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

So if players are notable at international level but not club level will you remove all clubs? If a player spent 15 years as an amateur player and 1 year as a professional will you remove the 15 years of clubs? etc etc. As I said, it is standard to include non-league/amateur clubs at the start/end of a player's career. Reference question

Hi, actually I don't know how to reference my edit. If I knew it, I would be never warned

Sincerely Heyday to you Heyday to you (talk) 15:31, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for reaching out, @Heyday to you:. Have a look at WP:REFSTART. That should get you started quickly. Robby.is.on (talk) 18:32, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Confusion

Hello, I wanted to let you know that the reference I deleted was misleading. So I deleted it. But I was unable to copy url of my edit source. Now I will do it. Heyday to you (talk) 16:32, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

@Heyday to you: Okay. I'm not familiar with the subject. But I suggest you discuss your proposed on the article's Talk page before re-introducing content that was previously reverted. See WP:BRD. Robby.is.on (talk) 16:36, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

RE: Slashes

Ok, so what does the Manual of Style suggests using for the position of the player? Commas or Breaks? Because ever since I joined Wikipedia I have been using slashes.

Cheers, 8Dodo8 (talk · contribs) 15:15, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

@8Dodo8: Yeah, I know, a few editors have been doing that; so did I for a short while. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football/Players has commas but I think breaks are fine, too. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 17:01, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Ok, I got it. Thanks for sorting this out for me. :) 8Dodo8 (talk · contribs) 20:09, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

@8Dodo8: Sure. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:17, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Upamecano

Hi robby, how do you think I vandalized that? It was his poweress that I personally daw. So how to can be vandalism? Reply me in my talk page. Heyday to you (talk) 11:21, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Tal page warning

Hi Robby, do you think that warning a user when he/she vandalized Jamie Vardy's article by changing his references to Lionel Messi is disruptive? I've edited 15-20 edits and just 2 unreferenced and unreliable edits doesn't mean that you'll seek administrator attention. Please check before you do these things. Sincerely Heyday to you (talk) 09:33, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Heyday to you

@Heyday to you: They had already received a warning from Materialscientist who also did the revert. So yes, that is disruptive. I didn't closely inspect all of your edits; the two I listed stood out to me as particularly poor. After all the help and warnings you received, they shouldn't have happened. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:37, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

I didn't check that Materialscientist had already placed a warning. Heyday to you (talk) 09:39, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

@Heyday to you: You should have. Be more careful when editing. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:31, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

Ok I will 😄 Heyday to you (talk) 11:03, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

Warnings to users

And just another point, an IP address user vandalized the director of movie- Chhichhore, so it was my right to revert that edit and warn that user. That doesn't count as talk page vandalism by me Heyday to you (talk) 09:51, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

@Heyday to you: Did I mention that warning anywhere? I don't think I did. But having looked at it now, I don't see why you left a level-3 warning there when the IP had previously only received a level-1 warning. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:27, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

Clarification

Hi, today while checking La Liga scores,I saw that he had scored for his team in a match. That's why I increased his caps and stats by one. If you see other pages about footballers, you'll find that no reference is provided for upgrading stats and caps. So my edit wasn't bad.Heyday to you (talk) 08:15, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Sorry

I am really sorry for that misunderstanding.Heyday to you (talk) 08:58, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Category:Turun Palloseura footballers

The CFDS nomination was wrong - it should be moved to Category:Turun Palloseura players per C2C, to match established naming convention in Category:Footballers in Finland by club. Please can you re-nominate? GiantSnowman 06:53, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi @GiantSnowman:. I did that, actually: [3] Didn't work out. :-/ Robby.is.on (talk) 08:20, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
@Fayenatic london: please can you confirm why you 'revised' this move request? Your new location is plainly wrong. GiantSnowman 08:22, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
I reckon it's due to Armbrust's objection. Robby.is.on (talk) 08:24, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
Right, the nomination for a speedy move to Category:Turun Palloseura players was opposed. I have now made that a disambiguation page. – Fayenatic London 09:18, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
There is no ambiguity. The article about Turun Palloseura is about the men's football team only, so 'Turun Palloseura players' is clearly players for that team... GiantSnowman 11:46, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
By all means start a full CFD discussion if you wish. – Fayenatic London 15:42, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Odense Boldklub fan here.

Hello Nyrnz here. i update caps and goals using the official superliga webpage. so please refrain from reverting my updates and saying some games doesnt count and then link me to an unofficial site. i will update time stamps in the future.

http://www.superliga.dk/spiller/jacob-barrett-laursen?saeson=2019-20. As you can see, the official site agrees with me, and that is the most reliable source.

@Nyrnz: Hi, and thanks for reaching out. It's WP:FOOTY policy that playoff matches of the kind I mentioned are not included in the count. This was the result of discussions between Wikipedia editors who edit on football articles. I am unable to point you to the exact discussion(s) but you can search the archives at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football if you don't want to take my word for it.
I mentioned Worldfootball.net because it makes the distinction between "regular" and playoff matches. If you have a way of telling the different kinds of matches apart without Worldfootball.net that is fine. In any case, both the league's official website and Worldfootball.net would be considered reliable source at Wikipedia. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 19:20, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

Wigan

Never seen an edit reverted for adding a reliable source. Well okay then. I guess I have seen it all now... Rupert1904 (talk) 22:57, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

@Rupert1904: Heh, yeah. See MOS:LEADCITE, which in fairness isn't very clear. But I do think a reference is unnecessary in this case. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 00:45, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

AS Muret moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, AS Muret, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mccapra (talk) 06:07, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

AS Muret

Hi, I've added a few bits with sources. Hopefully that should be sufficient to get the article back to mainspace. If i get chance there is probably some more material about the Coupe de France (which provides notability), especially the 1979 match against Monaco. Hi there Robby,

i think i was a good boy and it pretty much all by myself (the dreaded statistical chart), but could you please double check it for (possible) errors? Kind regards, thanks in advance! --Quite A Character (talk) 02:22, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

Hello. :-) Recently, when a bunch of older post of yours to my page were archived I wondered when you'd return. ;-)
The table looks good to me, overall – well done!
* I did not check whether the counts of league appearances are correct but I did check the cup match counts.
* One total was wrong, I corrected that.
* I removed the Soccerway reference as it did not seem to have any data for his playing career (anymore).
* Do you know why are there three "II Divisão" entries in ForadeJogo's 2008–09 season?
Robby.is.on (talk) 11:20, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Many thanks for the assistance! Regarding your (last) question i'm not sure i follow, in Mr. Machado's FDJ profile i only see ONE entry per season, even though i have seen the odd occasion when more than one occur. --Quite A Character (talk) 18:15, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
@Quite A Character: You're welcome! Here's a screenshot: https://jmp.sh/iFezDjb Robby.is.on (talk) 18:21, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Got you man! The vast majority of matches refer to the regular season, the last three are for the championship play-offs ;) Cheers --Quite A Character (talk) 19:06, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Ah, I believe they shouldn't be counted as regular league matches but instead be listed in an "Other" column. I'll have a look. Robby.is.on (talk) 19:27, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

Same stuff now, i think i got most of it all right at Vítor Gomes, but for the totals :( --Quite A Character (talk) 02:40, 26 July 2020 (UTC)

@Quite A Character: The league total only seems to have been "off by one": [4]. :-) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:34, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
