Hi RomGuig, why did you undo my edits to La Plagne. The information was taken from the La Plagne piste map (2006-2007 version); and from my knowledge - I lived in La Plagne last year, and know a lot about the place....Maybe some of the info is original research, so that can be deleted, but the infobox is useful and I think it should remain in the article. --Montchav 14:55, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm french, so my english is awful, I'm sorry. But I was in La Plagne for the first time in 1991... I know the resort very well (...there is some errors on La Plagne piste map !)
You told that Champagny is "north-facing" it's wrong !
You wrote : "The traditional agriculture doesn't allow mining activity in the area". It's wrong : La Plagne had two major activities in the past : agriculture AND mining !
You deleted the text about Plagne Centre as a "station intégrée"...why ?
You wrote about Oxygen discotheque... No advertising on wikipedia !
Montchavin and Les Coches are two separated resorts, like Plagne Village and Plagne Soleil !
Sorry, but there were some errors in your edits. I let the box if you want...

--Montchav 16:26, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo-Plagne-1982.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Logo-Plagne-1982.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

La Plagne[edit]

Please explain why you reverted my cleanup to the article La Plagne. My edit was simple cleanup; I changed the french-language homepage to the english-language one, which is obviously the correct thing to do on English Language Wikipedia. I also wikified the other linke. "Unofficial Website" is IMO more accurate than "Personal Website". Please notice that when actually clicking "undo", the user is warned: If you are undoing an edit that is not vandalism, explain the reason in the edit summary rather than using only the default message. It is very rude to simply undo somebody's edit when it isn't vandalism without explaining. Please review your behavior when editing, as your edits can cause friction when people are simply trying to improve the site. Please explain to me why you reverted my edits and why there was no explanation. Thankyou. -Toon05 14:29, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
In fact the url "http://www.la-plagne.com/ete/en/version_fr.phtml" is now false, because a new site is online... So...
For the other site, I have to tell you that it's mine, and its title is written like this "www.PERSo-LAPLAGNE"...
I did "undo", beacuse it's faster, Be sure I did'nt consider you as a vandal !
Hello again! I have a similar (if less hostile) query for you this year. The cleanup I did on the article was to try and bring it into line with WP:NPOV policy, stating that articles should be written in a neutral sense; "an immense off-skiing area, with great spots like Bellecôte's North Face" isn't neutral, so I toned down the rhetoric. I also changed a sentence which didn't make much sense in english. Please consider discussing issues on article talk pages, and not undoing edits which aren't vandalism etc. You also shouldn't include sites which are your own, and naming guidelines dictate how websites are included in articles. Thanks - Toon05 23:38, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
