Changing soccer to football[edit]

Hello Rumanovsk,

If you are unaware, the longstanding consensus on Wikipedia was that any association football events in the United States must use the term soccer with no exceptions. This is due to MOS:TIES, and because the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is in the United States, the article must use American English. I understand that this may be disagreeable or controversial, especially for our non-American readers, but it was a decision made and it must be followed. If you wish to respond, feel free to do so or leave it in the article's talk page and we can discuss it out. Thank you and have a nice day. Digitslain12 (talk) 17:03, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
