I don't see the reason to formally designate a backup bot, but, for the future, if my bot hasn't run 24 hours or so after a new issue comes out, or if Michael or I ask you to run it, you can - but leave a note on my talk page, and at the newsroom, so nobody else does it at the same time. All it is is an AWB task, appending a comment (including the
== Header ==
at the top) to each page. I can send you the XML settings file if you wish. Please, draw me again when I'm erased from wiki-existence!

Am I to be deleted for good??? :( Oooooo-kay then... I submit myself to the wishes of the community *sigh* Will you recreate me once I silently leave the world of the wiki-living, sweetie... or will I be deleted again under G4? *snifff* *sob*! actually, that made me laugh a lot... you guys are crazy! ;) Love, Phaedriel - 04:47, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Newsletter triggers Mediawiki bug[edit]

I'm not sure if this is a problem with User talk:R Delivery Bot or the newsletter itself, but twice now I've noticed that the newsletter Wikipedia:WikiProject Alternative music/Newsletter has been delivered in a way that triggers a bug in Mediawiki that makes the section [edit] links edit the wrong section. The problem is that the heading is placed on the same line as the content that follows it. This causes the section numbering to be miscalculated. The fix is simple, just include at least one line break after the heading. See instances of this bug manually fixed here and here. Is this a bug in the bot? --PEJL 17:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Thiss is a known bug because of how I copy and paste the newsletter to append. I forget why this keeps recurring. I may have either forgot to add the spaces, or AWB will take out those spaces because that's how it works. Strangely enough, it doesn't happen with all newsletters. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@ (Let's Go Yankees!) 18:06, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion[edit]

Welcome back from your vacation. Since you're a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject user warnings, I was wondering if you would give your opinion on a new template that user:Anonymous Dissident and I are developing. It's meant to be a non-bitey "you posted inappropriately at WP:ANI and you should have done so here" message that could be left on (presumable newer) users' talk pages. The rationale for it is at WT:AN#Improper use of the WP:ANI forum and discussion at User talk:Anonymous Dissident#Re: Inappropriate ANI posting template. You can either leave comments at my talk page or the talk page for the template. Note I have also asked this of User:Wikihermit. Thanks! -- Flyguy649 talk contribs 19:22, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EFD templates[edit]

{{db-u1}} allows pages in your userspace to be deleted upon your request, even if you did not contribute to them at all. You said you'd get the EFD templates speedied if you'd made them. I can do it anyway, if you'd like. CSD agrees. --Deskana (banana) 12:25, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yo[edit]

Someone nuked the EFD top and bottom templates. Should we go to DRV? Kwsn(Ni!) 06:27, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, I'm not going to DRV on a humor page. Second of all, only the redirects were deleted. The originals are still somewhere. Check the RFD or maybe the deletion summary for where the location it. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@ (Let's Go Yankees!) 13:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
